Yes I would definitely buy one based on previous versions of sport trucks and their history. A lot of people that bought them drove the bag off them for a few years and then sold them for close to what they paid new. A short bed truck, fleet or step side is just a sweet truck.

Lets be honest here… the more and more these concepts continue to improve over the years, the more and more the likely chance of GM actually releasing it…. Well… you know how the story ends. We can all dream, though, right? Or just do what everyone else does with a cool sport truck. Just Build your own.

Yes!, I approve, gorgeous truck. I like the way the sidesteps emphasize the back wheels. Dope AF.
This is the sickest SS I've ever seen! Absolute BEAUTY!would definitely purchase one of these trucks kudos on the rendering its gorgeous.
I bought a brand new Chevy step side shortbed regular cab pickup in black back in 1977. I paid less than $8000 for the truck. The bed had wood slats for the floor. It came with a 350 cu V8. I added side exhausts to hear that V8 when I stomped on it. Would like to see a step side again.

I would buy one if it were a SWB and not stepside. I would like to see a V8 option in the Colorado/Canyon platform like GM offered a few years back before the refresh. Seems to me a small V8 in a little chassis would be a lot of fun. Although big cubes in a full side SWB would be pretty badass as well.
That concept drawing has been the first time I've liked the modern truck in ages perfectly proportioned great contrast between flat and gloss and the red accents are perfect for it 10 out of 10 I buy one as long as they weren't over 50K and it would have to come with the 4.8 with a supercharger

@@mr.sunnyrise1571 BS! The Whipple F150 does not have over 1000hp.
I know someone who bought the Chevy SS pickup with the 454. He changed out the heads. Went from 398 h.p. to 650. He's a machinist at a NAPA store.
I've got a 2006 SS and I would love to have one of these. I wish GMMG was still around to make limited numbers of these like they did with the Dale Earnhardt Camaro SS or the Intimidator SS.
Not now but loved my 1999 lowered Black Silverado Stepside when I was younger. It was my dream truck! This looks great though.
I got one of the first 1988 Sport Sides when they came out. Loved that truck, although mine was a 4x4, so of course it got lifted. I would definitely consider that SS!
If I had the money yes! I love regular cab trucks with a short bed. I don’t see them all that often but it’s one of my favorite utility designers because they can fit so much better into parking spaces and navigate narrow forest roads easier along with their capabilities of being a truck. bring back short bed regular cabs!
NICE!!!!! A single cab/step side is the way to go for street performance trucks.
This is the 1st new Silverado fascia Ive liked in upwards of a decade & this is the 1st stepside bed Ive cared for on any truck. They could win back alot of market share w/ that new Yenko too.
I had a first year Ford Ranger Splash I bought new in like 1992-1993. That little step side truck was in this crazy orange color and had that Vulcan V6 from the Taurus and a 5spd manual since it was a 2wd model. That little truck was a hoot to drive. I see that zz632 concept and it makes me want to buy another stepside truck again especially one with an NA 1,000hp!

I WOULD DRVE ONE
Definitely a worthy design for Chevrolet's SS Badging. Never really been a fan of the Step-Side myself, however... It respectably blends that "Old School" look with the modern lines and I dig it. The truck looks aggressive & athletic like an SS should. I am a fan of that Big Block as a top tier package BUT I would hope that maybe a more affordable SBV8 SS option would also be available to help give more people a chance to afford an Iconic Bowtie.... more people as in me lol because I would love have this in my driveway but I don't want to sleep on the couch until it's paid off.

Seems like 39,900 is now considered cheap/affordable and 40's is the new norm and niceness will be mid 50's to mid 60's and of course super fine will flirt with 80 to 100k. Utterly rediculous, how do folks afford these. 40 k is a crap load to me. I make 25 hour and approx 48 to 50 hours a week with a 600 dollar house paymen and noway can I afford this. Am I making crap money? How do folks buy these honestly, anybody help me understand.

@@nimrodpaul6875 Easy! Historically low Fed rate for well over a decade combined with a massive influx of alternative financing and the rolling over of vehicle loans. In essence many consumers are simply caught in a never ending cycle of payments. That being said, if the Fed continues its inflation busting all that is going to end as every rise in the Fed rate will eliminate another block of people from loan qualification at those levels.

What a beautiful truck!! I love the Stepside Box. I had an 03 GMC Sierra Regular Cab Short Box Stepside. I absolutely loved that truck. This truck looks absolutely Bad Ass!!
I love these drawing alot including the blazer ones. I really wish gm would build some of these. I myself love the square body gm trucks and k5s I have 5. However I love my 2020 duramax as well. Even better is if it were a all wheel drive version

NEW SILVERADOS ARE BUTT FUGLY ,,,BUT THAT SHEETMETAL WORKS ON THIS SHORT BED STEP SIDE
I remember fondly the Chevy shortbed stepsides of the early to mid 70s. Mine was a simple 2 wheel drive but it had a non emission 350 with a granny gear 4 speed. Lots of fun to drive. This new one is an interesting concept but I much prefer the comfort of my crew cab 4wd Silverado. Getting old I guess.
YES!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! THE PERFECT DAILY DRIVER AND CANYON CARVER!!! GREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
i love the truck.. even if we don’t get the Silverado SS i’d be happy if they started bringing stepsides back.
I def wanna see the chevy ss truck come back even if I can never get one. I just wanna see someone else get one so I can see it on the street
i own a 99 step z71. i used to own an 84 fleet shorty 4x4. i was sad that they stopped making shorty stepsides. that truck is perfect. id like to see a matching 4x4.
I got to say I love it. I have always owned Silverados or Sierra's they've always been 4x4 but if that truck there would be coming out in production that's a big hell yes I would buy it that thing is just beautiful
I'm still trying to get my hands on a "Cateye" Silverado SS. I love the way those look. I hate being poor.

The dodge ram hemi that came put the same year had almost the same 0-60 time for cheaper. With a better towing capacity and payload. I remember that's why my parents ended up buying the ram. We definitely wanted that silverado SS until we took the ram for a test drive.
I love it. Depends on the cost. Insurance, gas prices, gap insurance all figure into it for me. Looks awesome. Would have like to see the interior. Build it.
Dammmmmn. I would definitely buy one I viper red color. Love the rims and tires. The stance. WAW. LOVE IT.😍😍😍😍

Drop dead gorgeous I would buy it today… Chevy if you make one exactly like this one, no changes
Had a 2004 black ss silverado...man..definitely want another.
Very nice! Though, I think the 6.6L (gas) from the heavy duty trucks and the 10-speed auto would be a better fit for a SS truck. Add boost (like to see a turbo instead of a supercharger), AWD PLEASE; tire roasting is fun and all, but when you want to go, you want to go NOW. 😁 Keep the look from the render - that is perfect - stepside and all - maybe just a bit less hood scoop for visibility reasons. I'm thinking a Silverado EV for my next purchase - was going to do a Blazer EV RS; but the interior is still too small. Not enough headroom and shoulder room. That said, I just might be enticed to the SS for the same money.

And a 100k price tag (or more)
I really would, but I think having 2 options, this one which is killer and then the family man oriented crew cab with the 10 speed & the same fixings, then make sure the DFM/AFM problem is taken care of, and they offer a manual would be outstanding ! keep it at a realistic price (which infact would be 100k ⬆️ ) if all that is taken in consideration I'm sure they would sell quite a few !
I'm a chevy silverado guy .this is a badass ss truck an I would like to have one for sure👍

Would love to own such a thing like this, I’ve been begging Gm for over year to make me something at least close to this but they are not willing to do that at any cost but I’m hoping at some point they do that cuz it would be amazing specially 4x4 AWD with over 800hp to roast the Shelby owners 😂

If Chevrolet made a 72 stepside SWB with a bad ass engine, and it literally is a copy of a 72 stepside, they would not be able to build enough of them. Same for the old blazers.
Definitely would buy one. Had an Intimidator traded that for a Raptor. Also had an 05 SRT10. I love fast sport trucks.
I still own my 2003 Silverado SS AWD in my collection. If this one d does come to life I will def try to acquire one. Of course I’ll be waiting 20 years for my Z06 too!
I had a 1990 454 SS I REALLY MISS THAT TRUCK!!
Brian, this is ghe best looking Chevrolet I have ever seen (hands down). The curves on this and the entire buildings (amazing)...
That would be awesome!!! With the EV revolution real hot rodders are going to have to build their own. I built a 94 s10 SS with a 6.0ls and it has an attitude. To bad we will never see anything like what you have shown because this society has became controlled by the few and not the majority anymore.
Yes sir, I’m a Chevy man thru & thru, & been waiting on something like this
Absolutely beautiful stepside! Too expensive for me but would LOVE to see it built!!
Wouldn't buy it, but DAMN SURE LOVE TO DRIVE IT!!!
There is a HUGE sport truck community here in Fort Worth, TX!! I literally see them all the time burning rubber on my street on the south side 🛻☁
Hurry up and put it in production. Ausome styling. Can't wait to see it.
I'm really digging this truck, jus curious if this has any possibility of being an extended cab? If so what would the prototype look like?
I feel like the new '23 colorado would make a more appropriate SS. Would love to see it in a single cab, but with no step side.

Yes sir I’m ready for it to come out..I’m dropping a bag on it💯✌️
This is a beautiful sport truck .And yes I would buy one if I had the cash !
I'm still loving my '15 Silverado (that I bought new) regular cab 6.5 foot bed 4wd LT that I put a cowl hood and rigid tonneau cover on. Kind of reminds me of the look of this truck. The truck shown here is of course a step beyond what my truck is, but hey this guy's on a budget. But if dreams came true I would be owning this SS stepside. Meantime I will keep upgrading my '15 to get closer to the dream. Look for my video on here about the Keyparts cowl induction hood in my channel 'Videostar07'.
For sure i would buy one and a fleetside to go with it they both would be outstanding . Who cares that its a step side it super badass and is in PERFECT Confirmation for size shape fit and finish and the big block oh my Lord!!!!!
Remember this is an artists rendering, what GM would actually put out would look more like the Pontiac Aztek.
If I could afford it, I'd definitely buy it. I used to be a huge fan of the lightning and the single cab step side look. Always wanted something similar from Chevy.
It would be better if it wasn't a stepside and had a widebody
I love it! I drive a 2003 black short bed, regular step-side bed with a small V8 and positraction. I love my truck, but it is getting old and I'd love a new one with modern creature comforts and driving assist. An old man like me doesn't need a 1,000 HP 632, though it would be totally awesome if Chevy offered it as an option! A small V8 hybrid with a roll away solar bed cover would suit me.

I would definitely buy one but also how you see sport trucks come down to Texas you’ll see them everywhere lol
That SS Stepside has the coolest look. It's badass.
I love all your videos on dream cars. Thing is, even if any of the vehicles were to go into production, 99% of the population would not be able to afford them. That's why us regular guys who can twist a few wrenches and run a welder just get something old/regular and customize it ourselves.
Yes, love the step side. Had a 94 and 04 step
Truck is gorgeous and I would buy one. The design is great but under the hood is even better.
Hell yeah, it would complement my 6th gen SS 1LE very well
Definitely would try to buy one not all of us are into the 4x4 theme that’s all the craze nowadays if they build it people will definitely buy here in Texas lifted high horsepower diesel or ls swapped 90’s chevy trucks and ram TRX are family vehicles here so I’m sure this truck would do pretty good
looks like they finally rounded off the wheel wells its about time only had to wait 51 years
yup I'm in I want mine candy apple with white leather blk pin stripes 😊😊
I just had my 2015 6.2 8 speed, engine and transmission completely rebuilt. Cost me 15,500$ but it's bullet proofed transmission and 450hp to the tires. This truck will take off faster than a step Dad.
I like this a lot!! I would like to see it with an LT Super Charged motor. Can we please get this Truck War with GM and Ford!!
Excellent presentation
Still have my 2001 stepside would love chevy to kick out another one!
That's a badass truck !!! I would buy one hell yaaa..for sure
It’s about time GMC puts their foot in the running. 1005 hp is a dream come true! 😊😊😊
Love the concept and ditching the crew and extended cab, but should put it in Colorado-sized truck (without crew cab or extended cab) with regular length bed. I’d probably make the 632 a dry sump with well-designed oil pan so it won’t leak oil like most BBC, and include an electronic launch control and a drag package wheel and tire combo as an extra option to go with the six figure price tag we all know it would be,… and hopefully make more than a dozen trucks, ‘cause gonna be a lot of guys taking out a second mortgage to get one.
