If the Stout is the next big thing, then it will fail. It needs to be the next small thing. 😄

Ditch the $5000 worth of tech CRAP in the cab, and you'll beat the competition easy. WE DON'T WANT AN IPAD IN THE THE DASH, GIVE US ANALOG

Plain and simple, most people want that tech in their vehicles. You're not going to get what you want because not enough people want what you want and it's not worth their time to make it

The one thing all these small truck builders are missing is a basic truck no 4 doors just a 2 door, 2 seats truck with a good size bed

Toyota Stout better come with a manual transmission

How about some standard door locks and roll up windows!!! That would keep cost down and it's retro awesome!

I’m happy it’s going to be 2025 so I can save some money till then. I’m excited and if they are having a TRD pro version I’m getting it.

Shouldn’t have to save that long since it should cost half of a normal size truck … unless they decide to not make it 20k

if anyone can bring a small truck to the US market and be amazing on fuel and priced good toyota can! I hope they have a hybrid version! time will tell until then all we get is speculation.

This should be a BIG seller for Toyota. I'm ready to buy one. But, I have a feeling the cost with options most want will be closer to $35K.

Im waiting for this truck tbh. I think the rav4 hybrid powertrain would be more towards my liking.

It is way past time "they make something for us". They destroyed "simple", which buyers are complicit; because buyers bought what was light years from "simple".

I’ve been waiting for the Toyota Stout too long. Now they say 2025. I’m going to buy a Subaru.

Subaru is now 25% owned by Toyota, & they are sharing some production lines, so you're still getting a Toyota!

If toyota comes through with everything they are saying at the cost point they are talking about. I would LOVE to have a compact truck with a 5k towing capacity. 90% of my towing is under that weight... i only have my ram 2500 which is overkill 😂

I hope that the standard interior colors ARENT the 35 year old Gloomy Grey or Boring Black

2025 is about right for me. 2 more years of my current vehicle and I'll be ready. Rumors for Stout are: hybrid drive train and full EV version. Likely hybrid because all of The Toy's vehicles are going hybrid, per corporate announcement. 2025 is getting dangerously close to the 2030 full EV mandate in several states and countries though so I wonder if they'll include a BEV version for compatibility (even if no one buys it).

Hopefully it will have a 5k tow capacity that would be a big sell

I would love a small pickup that can tow my 23 ft camper!!

They say they want to compete with the Maverick so the price should be competitive with the Maverick..

The rumor of an extra cab along with a crew cab appeals to me. If the upgraded engine with 265 hp is available in a base model extra cab, I am a buyer as long as the wait time is not outrageous.

I will wait and buy one if they have Toyota quality

Toyota usually get its right first year. Besides your broke and will buy this truck when its 8 years old like i will.

Any small trucks that are good quality have some level of towing capacity and are priced under 30k will sell like f#%king crazy..... people want these most people don't want a 70k gas guzzling giant they want something cheap reliable and practical for its intended purpose if toyota makes these for the Canadian market I'll be first in line to buy a base model unit because I have an 08 ranger that I love but have had nothing affordable that makes sense to replace it with

Just give us a simple 2 door with no back seats. Hybrid with a stick and a lock differential. A sunroof would be nice too lol

I have a Ford Maverick Hybrid. If Toyota gets their act together and makes a Stout Hybrid I'll ditch my Maverick and park my new Stout Hybrid next to the Prius in my garage.

All we want is a half electric half gas vehicle with a goood price point … The need in the market is an affordable truck for the average person

I like to say, cheap, fast, good, pick two.

I'll buy one if I can get a big gas engine and a six speed manual. I don't need $5,000 of technology in the dash.

All other car brands can make 50+mpg mini trucks and if Toyota can only get the Stout to 35 mpg they got my business!

Just offer it with a 22RE and 5 speed 4x4 base model.

$25K Stout with +3,000 pound towing capacity and Toyota reliability I'll trade my 2011 Silverado for it in 2026. I'm worried the dealers will jack it to $32K

Forget Hybrid, drop the hydrogen engine in it like the Mirai. EVs are already dead in the water. (pun intended). I would love to take one of these out for a test drive and possibly buy one for a daily commuter so I could save my 2013 Tacoma for the overlanding trips. As always, great job Toyota!

I wanted to buy a Maverick, but I would rather just wait for this instead. Ford’s reliability isn’t as great as Toyota, that alone is a good selling point. I trust them into making a compact pickup without any major issues in the first gen.

I luv my Hybrid Maverick, but if Toyo offers a non plug-in Hybrid Stout at a similar price, then I'd trade in the Ford. Why? Because I'm 60 years old and a Toyo truck would last me the rest of my driving years. Save ur breath about the Tacoma hybrid...its too big and expensive for my needs.

The old style small trucks were and are great. This new stuff is like other trucks. Too tall to use the bed easily. Not to mention the boxy style.

Even the Toyota makes a small inexpensive truck,dealers will mark up every truck in over msrp and greed will take over. Nothing will change same old crap.

It’s hard to stay on top and expand while keeping quality and reliability up but this truck is about 5 years too late.

Won’t buy one. Used to love tacomas. Went down hill sharply starting in 2016. 2024 s ugly. Hearing lots of problems especially with the tundras. Hate 4 cylinder turbos.

Guess I’ll just buy a canoo #canoo
