I have a 2017 tacoma sr 4 cyl 5 speed its been a great truck one of my favorites was the extended cabs with the suicide doors it made it so easy to put stuff in the back the 24 tacoma has to be loaded on the passenger side because the front seat slides all the way forward to make it easier to put stuff in and get it out those back doors would be missed by me

This FINALLY answered my question. Ive heard the manual didnt start until the TRD package. Then i heard the sr extended cab got it but didnt have a manual option again until TRD. Like sr and sr5 double cabs didnt have it or something. I go to the d@mn toyota build page and they dont let you build any of the tacomas with manual option. FINALLY something that makes sense. They ALL have manual until trail hunters and any other hybrids. Thank God. I just want a sr with manual and a winter package. That is it. I dont want to spend 47k on a trd package with heated seats and steering wheel. When i am ready, i can have an E locker installed down the road in the sr. I spent 6 months with mixed chats on this topic.

No Tacoma has ever comfortably fit a car seat in the backseat. You can still get the same legroom out of the backseat in these as the outgoing ones if you don't adjust the front seats back too far. The previous Tacomas would not let you move the seat back that far so even the front two seats for cramped.

I didn't think the MT model would be available this early on. Wow the rear leg room is trash. They should have increased the WB a few inches. I would be interested in the SR5 extra cab MT model. This might have more noise as its an SR and probably has little to zero sound insulation as evidenced here from the back of the hood. And yeah the front is bigger because they took space from the back. But loving that MT for sure.

This isn't new at all. My 95 4runner has port options on it.

Its an SR. No insulation no frills no nothing. Sort of like how the old school Toys used to be. Wondering what the MSRP is. Personally I would not pay over 30K for this. But its likely going sell for 35K or more. And it ain't worth that much.

@@jgringo5516 Could not believe that so I went to the build site and base 4X4 MT is 38,395 and when you add the SR package another 1500 which you pretty much need. Notice this one has bed liner so that would get it close to 42K. You can currently pick up a 2023 limited with discounts for around 40K. Now a 24 limited will be pushing well over 50K. Again 42K for a SR is comical. Just unbelievable.

23 Limiteds were always $50k or more. This SR was $42k with options and a couple accessories. There is not bedliner on this Tacoma either.

@@AskforBryan That being said, I did see a few limited 23's (last week) on discount for the same price point as this SR. Many toyota dealers are beginning to see their inventories rise and day on lot are increasing. Not all regions but nevertheless something I have not seen in years. Not as bad with toyota but with other brands like Ram their trucks are literally rotting on the lots. I'm already seeing tundras rotting on the lots with discounts up to 10K. Not good for something that has not been out that long. I expect the Taco will do better initially with new adopters on the 24. But will be interesting to see if Toyota can maintain those much higher price points in the end of the year as they have TWO plants that can make well over 200K units a year. With much higher banking rates and tighter banking guild lines we will see. I also know that Toyota Finance has a ton of repos on their books. So bad that they are offering large bonuses for tow drivers to pick up their trucks first. Something has to give with these ever increasing prices. When a entry level taco cost 42K with a MT I don't see it being sustainable. Currently statistics are showing only 18 percent of the population can even afford a new vehicle in 2024.
