    A base model midsize truck for nearly 45k is crazy.

    Ik it doesn’t make much of a difference but the base model for a Tacoma is the SR, SR5 is one step up 👍 Also the SR starts at $31,500 and the SR5 starts at $36,200. Im not trying to justify these ridiculous prices though.

    I'd call a portable speaker cheap, not impressive because of its size its actual sound is limited. Gimmicks like this make people ooh and ah while it allows the manufacturer to cut costs and charge more.

    I would buy a used fully spec’d out 2022/23 Nissan frontier PRO4X for 38k and still have money left over for wheels, suspension and still have cash left over to tint the windows etc. The VQ engine in a frontier has been around forever and now it has a 9 speed trans, the Nissan is now the best midsize truck to buy in my opinion now because it has a V6 and not a lot of tech but just enough tech that you would actually need. Wait until these get to 120k miles and all rust and the turbo takes a dump. All the exhaust bolts will be rusted out and it’s going to be a pain to work on. Yes the Tacoma is more fancy and gets better gas mileage but it’s not that much better for the price.

  • @wigletron2846

    @wigletron2846

    Plus you'd have a nice v6 and not some turbo 4 junk that has no business being in a truck. Imo Nissan is the best value full size truck as well with the Titan. NA V8 and priced lower than any other full size truck and no mark ups. The current gen American trucks are hot garbage and the Tundra is TT V6 now.

  • @user-ss3ud7pp7f
    @user-ss3ud7pp7f3 ай бұрын

    Yeah, that seems like dumb money even for 4WD. Not to mention it looks as big as a tundra. Everything just gets bigger and bigger and more and more expensive.

    Toyota makes a nice truck. But I well take the Nissan Frontier. Rather have a V6. So yeah, Toyota ditches the V6 and going Ford with a turbo 4 turned me away. Turbos are expensive to repair and not as reliable as a natural aspirated V6. 😊

    I think the truck looks good on the surface, but ehhh, I don’t know. A few things just don’t do it for me. The biggest thing that I find unappealing is how much larger it is than previous versions, while simultaneously having a smaller engine and being more complicated just for technology’s-sake. There are some nice things I like about it, like that you can still get a manual and a 6ft bed with the double cab. (Wish my truck had the long bed, couldn’t find a used one at a good price where I lived) I have a 2nd gen Tacoma, and have no plans of trading it in. I wouldn’t get a new Tacoma, even if one dropped in my lap. I love your reviews! Always fun seeing what vehicles you review, keep up the good work!

    Most Tacoma buyers are going to spec trucks that exceed $50,000. I'm not poor (I think) but I just can't bear to pay that much for a Tacoma. Maybe I'm just getting old. It appears the auto manufacturers are hoping 10-year auto mortgages are going to become the norm.

    I own a 2023 Tacoma SR5 fully loaded with a v6 4x4 and I’m not trashing the Tacoma on the video but I just want to say the rear seat room seems the same or a bit tighter than mine, my friend also went to the Toyota dealer and said the same. Now every video says there is more room guys or girls anyone please be a tie breaker. Plus not putting a power rear window in every trim level is a sin on Toyota’s part.

It’s given me no issues, and looks/drives better than 95% of what’s on the road today. After this, I’ll be going over to Porsche or Audi
