2024 TACOMA SR5 TOUR - What Normal Buyers Care About!
I researched my next car for months! Because I do a lot of home renovation, I knew I wanted to get back into a truck. It was between the F150 and 2024 Tacoma. Because the Tacomas were redesigned, there were ZERO models I could look at in my area. I didn't care about the on-paper specs. I wanted to actually see the model before committing to a deposit. Once I did, I knew it was the car for me. So here's a tour of the things I cared about that helped make my decision. Hopefully it helps you, too! (It is a sweet car, by the way. And that UNDERGROUND color... 100%!)

Totally agree with haggling dealership on OTD price. Those dealership are betting that you will give up and pay for whatever price they put out, they're counting on you NOT to haggle. That's how they win. You can let them sell you OR YOU can sell them on what you are willing to pay at a reasonable price. Good luck on your truck/car shopping and take control of what YOU are willing to pay, not the other way around.
I leased one for 420/mo for 3 years. I only just started a real job and needed a vehicle. Figured I can lease it and then in 3 years when im more financially stable ill be able to buy it out as a used truck owned by me for 32k
I've been watching basically every video on KZread about this truck, was honestly refreshing to hear some normal buyer opinions. I know I find myself in my own little bubble of thoughts and expectations, and I think a lot of other channels end up doing the same. Good to know about the markups, I live in San Antonio and I'm in the market of picking one of these up. Probably end up just waiting a bit anyway, but good to know that Cedar Park is a good choice. Yeah definitely check out Cedar Park if you get the chance. Or get a quote from them and drive down the SA price. I got a guy at North Park to almost match my Cedar Park price. But it wasn't enough to warrant an hour long drive!
Great review on the truck - refreshing to see an honest and unbiased review. My husband wants me to get a truck and I’m leaning towards it. Looking forward to seeing more content.

First date knife 😂. You’re hilarious. I agree about the connectivity kit. I think it’s the fault of the regional distributor. They have a monopoly in your area and so they add that stuff.

That's all you need when it's a general utility truck! Ain't trying to uproot an oak tree, lol. Just carry some equipment and lumber every now and then.
Excellent review. I had a 2020 TRD Pro with a manual. It was an amazing truck but I traded it for a Civic Si to get better fuel economy on my commute. It’s nice to see that the new generation Tacoma gets much better MPG. I probably will get the SUV equivalent….next generation 4Runner when it comes out. Love the color of the truck ❤️

Thanks! My first car was a 2004 Tacoma, which I traded in 2014 for a Hyundai Elantra GT. But I missed it too much! Glad tio be back to the Toyota family.

It took a while to get used to them because of the sound and shifting, but I love them. Now it's like a game to see how fuel efficient I can be, lol.
I have a 2022 Tacoma SR5 V6 2WD A/T 4Door in Barcelona Red, I lucked out getting it and I love it. The engine purrs and gas mileage is good too. I haven't seen a review done on a 2024 Tacoma SR with A/T and 2 wheel drive yet. Do you think you could do one? I just want to see one, not buy it. I only have 9000 miles on my 2022 Tacoma now. Nice , but the difference in price between SR5 and SR is 5k and respectively 21\26 mpg and 20\26 mpg . The question is do you get something more than a mile per gallon for 5k ? Because if it’s just that I will go for the SR . Besides that how much did you pay out the door, all lubricants included? Good content!! Thank you

A homo never pays and tells so the price is my own secret. And for the regular car person, definitely get the SR and pay 5K less--if you can find an SR. I had to be on a waitlist for my car, and SRs were not readily available. Considering my car broke down ON THE WAY to buy my new one, I didn't have time to wait, either. An SR5 was the card I was dealt, so I took it. And my credit was superb enough for me to splurge on borrowing that 5K extra. But you do you, boo! :) And I did get FULL coverage for 7 years on every inch of my car, which includes full synthetic oil changes (and we all know how much more expensive those are getting). That all set me back another several thousand. Was it a lot, YES. Was it warranted considering tech-upgraded cars have more tech that can go wrong, DEFINITELY. I'd suggest getting that SR and then using those 5K savings to get full coverage. That would be the smartest, most budget friendly path. GOOD LUCK!
I used to be an sr5 guy until I got a premium. Still prefer the 3rd gen though, especially for the price difference.
