Today we’re going to talk about the best remedies for candida.
A good portion of the microbes in your gut are fungi, and candida is one type of fungi. Friendly fungi support the body in many different ways.
It’s not until we change the environment that our friendly bacteria and fungi live in that they can become a problem. For example, one of the biggest side effects of antibiotics is candida overgrowth.
If the ratio of candida to bacteria is incorrect, this can lead to health issues. But bacteria release certain things to help keep candida in check.
If candida does turn unfriendly, you need to know what you can do. One important thing to remember to support a healthy microbiome is to take probiotics if you have to take antibiotics.
The best candida home remedies:
1. Take a probiotic and consume probiotic foods
2. Avoid sugar and dairy
3. Avoid carbs (do Healthy Keto®)
4. Avoid sugar alcohols
5. Consume capric acid (coconut oil or MCT oil)
6. Consume vegetable fiber
7. Consume natural herbal antibiotics (garlic, oregano oil, thyme, sage, or turmeric)

My daughter had candida in her mouth at age 13. Her tongue was white. I tried prescription drugs and they did nothing. Then at work one day (I was a nurse) we got these mouth wipes for patients with tube feeds. I knew just then I was shown the cure for my daughter's candida. I stopped on the way home and bought benzoyl peroxide for $1.oo and told her every morning and every evening mix the peroxide with about 5 or 6 times the amount of water and rinse for 30 seconds and spit out. Candida gone in a couple days and at age 32 it has never returned for her. 1 part peroxide to 5 parts water.

@@sheritamcclure6087 Thanks for your reply - I read the original very carefully, and looked up the substance... It is used for acne mostly, and in several reputable places like the UK NHS website, it says 'not for oral use', which to me says 'do not put in your mouth', not just 'don't swallow'. It is a poison, and while a nurse might be happy to supervise its use, it's not good advice to the general public. But I appreciate your explanation!

I first got a bad candida infection after a 2 weeks course of antibiotics. Literally overnight I started getting hundreds of small, white, sticky lumps all over my face, neck shoulders and upper back. I had also become intolerant to dairy products. That was 25 years ago. I eventually cut out all diary produce and greatly reduced my sugar intake. That was after seeking help and being put on a strict diet for several weeks to starve and kill the candida. I think back to when I raised the initial issue with my Dr and how he was adamant that the antibiotics weren't to blame. I knew he was wrong. It took me years of struggle with the infection and trying to research the condition in the attempt to find a solution. I still get very small flare ups from time to time but I think I now need to try and get rid of the issue for good. So thanks for the advice. I will introduce probiotics to my diet and will greatly reduce my carbs and sugar intake once again.

It is unfortunate that pharmaceutical companies are permitted to incentivize physicians for prescribing their medications. These incentives may take the form of luxurious trips, such as a visit to the Bahamas, in exchange for prescribing a specified number of patients to take a particular drug, which is often intended for long-term maintenance use. This creates a disincentive for physicians to seek and promote more holistic, curative treatments, such as dietary and nutritional modifications. Instead, they may resort to prescribing pills to every patient that walks through their door, perpetuating a cycle of dependence on medication. This practice not only fails to address the root cause of health problems, but it also undermines the financial interests of both physicians and pharmaceutical companies, as a healthier patient population would result in reduced demand for medication and, subsequently, lost revenue. Thankfully, the advent of the internet has provided a platform for physicians, such as Dr. Berg, who possess in-depth knowledge of the impact of nutrition on our health to reach a growing audience. This will hopefully lead to a greater dissemination of evidence-based information on the importance of diet in maintaining optimal health.

Dr. Berg, good . I am trying to continue to healthy. I’ve been experiencing yeast infections and thrush symptoms on my tongue from antibiotics. I also had a DKA two years ago almost to the date and was in a diabetic coma for 3 days. Stayed in the hospital for a week. I started watching and learning about how to prevent issues and started a keto lifestyle. My blood sugar was 1,524 upon entering the hospital and I am very grateful to be alive today. I took your advice and ordered the products to regulate my blood sugar levels and my A1C was 10.2 February 12, 2021 and as of today it is 5.8! I don’t eat food the first 4 hours of waking up every morning and I switched to coconut sugar and I eat 1 meal or two meals a day. Low sugar intake and protein and low carbs. I’ve lost weight but I’m experiencing low blood sugar and low blood pressure episodes so doctors say to never do keto and I need more carbs and I need to eat more food. I was put on insulin during the crisis but now I’m on no insulin just diet and exercise. I wish I could get doctors to understand that if I hadn’t started the process from watching your videos I probably would be still on insulin and doing much worse. I’ve trained myself this way and now they are telling me that I should eat first thing in the morning and add more carbs and eat stuff I swore out of my diet. I know that I’m insulin free because of what you are teaching your followers and I’m forever grateful for your service to all.

I suffered from candida in my throat for months and months. When I switched to the carnivore diet and began taking Nystatin the problem resolved itself in a few days. One of the worst parts was going to the doctor. My GP didn't know why I had a persistent sore throat so she prescribed me antibiotics which immediately made things much worse. I then visited an ENT four times over the course of several months and was dismissed each time as apparently being asymptomatic despite the intense burning sensation in my esophagus. They were treating me as if I was getting tonsil stones (likely due to inflammation from the candida) because of poor hygiene and that the pain I was feeling in my throat was from said tonsil stones. So incredibly insulting. All they did was tell me to gargle with mouthwash. Finally after I realized that they had a camera they could use to look in my throat, I insisted that they use it. That is when they figured out I had a candida infection. The ineptitude of those ladies was/is mind blowing. I spent so much money too. Peak ENT Center Golden Colorado

Therefore, according to this information the best and most beneficial way to take turmeric/curcumin is raw root sliced, chopped, or minced.

These videos are a godsend. I had an awful sinus infection last night with candida in my mouth and throat. There may have been other factors such as an alergic reaction that I need to check out, but in the meantime I'm fasting til the afternoon with just a bit of coffee/coconut oil. Switching my diet for the remainder of the upcoming weekend (back to saurkraut, cutting carbs/dairy and will be taking ACV. Curious to see how it turns out.

Garlic and turmeric both have antifungal properties that naturally inhibit candida overgrowth. The best candida fighter in the kitchen, however, is coconut oil. Its medium-chain fatty acids combat candida in the gut, killing it within 30 minutes of exposure.

I was on nystatin in my 30’s for Candida. Did all the right diet, and went through a short period of mild spaciness, due to the Candida die-off. Ate rare foods, took caprylic acid, took a product called ‘yeast fighter’, garlic, organic veg juicing, lots of garlic, etc. Got better over a couple months, but had to continue. Took a while because of horrendous past overgrowth. My GP was knowledgeable about Candida treatment. That….I am so grateful for. Now in my 60’s I am grateful anew for Dr. Berg’s video on this. I will get back on much of this stuff. Ahna. Atlanta Georgia

I seem to have really improved my eczema by adding back in some starchy carbs along with water kefir fermented apples. Spots of eczema that were persistent for the past year are gone. I've been learning about SCFA's. How do you get those on a strict keto diet? For the record, I included a lot of non-starchy keto veggies, but my skin seemed to get even more inflamed on many of those, especially raw salads.

I am 68 and had a white tongue for most of my adult life. I've been doing low carb for 7 years. I make my own sauerkraut and kimchi. Still, I couldn't eat it everyday. I thought I'd try rejuvelac (I used rye grain) and take a small 1/4 cup every morning. After a month, no more tongue coat and much better breath. I also use the remnants in the glass on my nasal openings to colonize good bacteria to fight respiratory illness. Haven't had even a cold since I started. Dr. Berg's dietary and supplement advice has gotten me off of most my prescriptions and made my senior years much healthier and enjoyable.

Here's one for coconut products, though I don't know if it's related to candida in any way. I once had a wart that I couldn't get rid of no matter what; burn it, freeze it, everything from liquid nitrogen to garlic, for over a year. I had come to the conclusion that I was stuck with it, I couldn't really afford to go back to the doctor and ask them to be more liberal with the liquid nitrogen. Then one day I started drinking coconut milk, not because I thought it would help, but just because I thought it was tasty; that wart dried up and fell off within a matter of days.

I'm advised by my Orthopedic Surgeon to take a massive dose of Amoxicillin one hour before any potentially invasive procedure to protect my bilateral total kneejoint replacement prosthetics from bacteria seeding itself in those areas & possibly causing sepsis. I'm not sure that this is the cause of my Candida, but I feel that it harms my G.I. system function.

I have heard that it can take much longer than 40 days to get a healthy microbiome back. And sadly, Americans already have a markedly non-diverse microbiome under the best of circumstances. My friend who was plagued with genital candida no longer has a problem since she has started exercising. Another person I know, who is diabetic, can always count on getting yeast infections on her tongue if her sugar gets out of control. On a side note, she is a clean freak, and oddly, so many people are very concerned with outside cleanliness and have no idea of the filth inside, judging by what they consume.
