manda jt If you felt secure about your success then you wouldn’t feel offended when someone doesn’t recognize or is just simply unaware but instead he took it personal and made a big statement about it. He asked a simple question, there’s no need to get offended or be an asshole about it. If you know you’re a hot shot then there’s no need to prove yourself unless you feel like your reputation is on the line. Obviously this guy has something to prove even though he doesn’t have to, just let your success speak for you.

Regardless of their personal stance, if the studio thinks they weren't doing what they could to stop a guy from saying some stuff that'll get angry viewers, backlash and just general ratings damage then they will get axed. A think people mistake Seinfelds tone (for people unfamiliar with the show and his comedy). He tries to make jokes constantly, it may be at the expense of others, but these are obviously jokes. He's also not the most emotionally intelligent guy out there and sometimes seems like he borders on the autistic, but again that's part of what made their show/his comedy. I'm not even that much of a fan of his stand up, but I can at least admit the guy isn't being a jerk all the time.

Just like when a whale eats a guy, instead of being put down or whatever, they just move that whale to another sea park. And when you see a whale at a show, nobody thinks about doing a background check or anything, they just see the whale doing blackflips and stuff. Note: Whales might not actually be relocated. I don't know that for sure and I don't care to look it up. But regardless of whether or not it's true, the analogy still works because if nothing else, it's a PG way to explain what happens when priests are caught banging kids so they technically can't censor it

I really don't think the right response to an animal that is kept in an empty tank 1/10000th or less of its natural environment's size, that acts out due to frustration and depression in a completely natural and understandable way - because of its horrific living conditions, loneliness and treatment - somehow results in the death of a human (which it wouldn't normally target as prey, so the death is ultimately 100% Seaworld's blame to bear) should be to put the poor tormented creature down. Whales in this terrible situation should either be given decent sanctuary if it can never be released and survive in full freedom again (at the full expense of Seaworld ofc), or if it is possible it should be readied and then released into the wild to live free, as far away as possible from its prior life of slavery.

I said that, in regards to my initial comment, it's irrelevant what you do or do not find funny as it has no bearing on what i was saying. The point is, if i have to spell it out for you, some people will find it funny, others will not. But that does not change his intent, which was to be funny, so why the negativity.

I disagree. Seinfeld is as sharp with his interviewers as other comedians. The issue is that he's been famous for so long, and done so many interviews, and answered the same questions so often that he demands that his interviewers actually take the time to research and prepare accordingly. In all of the clips showing him (except Larry David who I think asked the question to set the mood) the interviewer did NOT do any research and you can tell. So then what's the point of going to an interview if the person doing it isn't treating you seriously or putting in any effort.
