Truly, what a time to be a home-recording guitarist! The open source community is putting to shame all those multi-million dollar companies that ask hundreds of $$ for each amp model. Imagine how empowering and inspiring this stuff is for the new generation of guitarists all around the world. I can't wait to hear what new talents will come up with in the next few years.

A year ago you really hit the nail on the the head. When I worked for the music devil I bought a digitech modeling pedal and a Line 6 Spider IV, hoping to get what we have now, almost twenty years later. 😅 It was, of course, trash, but I knew what was coming. 😂

Another great demo man. Those IR's are something for sure. NAM is super on point as usual. So many amazing profiles now, it's pretty insane to try anything else at this point. Still I love my VtarAmps stuff. I can't get that strange fuzziness and flexibility in a profile. Ciao

This little sim is more popular than a pot of gold at a leprechaun convention. 🍀💰 The ripping tones coming out of that thing is amazing, and you have Ola in a Box at your disposal! It's much move convenient than flying to Sweden to use his rig, I'll say that. Thanks the cool demo and for including the Ola IRs. I'll check for updates on N.A.M. while I'm at it. 👑🎸🔥

Do you have video which explains how to merge/select 2 different IRs ? Like what characteristics we should look when picking first and second IR inside loader and things like that. With some examples like these 2 IR are good pair because xxx and these 2 are bad pair because yyy. I always find myself picking 1st IR and then scrolling through tons of options for 2nd one and then I repeat with another option for 1st IR option etc. And that takes some time :)

Hey man I always just go for what sounds good to me. Totally subjective stuff, a bad answer I know. I want punch in the lows, mids that sit back a little bit and enough Highs for when a start EQing the tones won't get lost.

This thing is awesome, but is anyone else running into an issue where if you put a second instance of NAM in your DAW (Reaper in my case) both of them go haywire and just output a bunch of noise? Delete the second instance and it's back to normal. Couldn't find anything about this listed on their known issues section.

  • @resington

OK this is weird. One instance uses about 8% CPU. If I add a second, the second one uses about 80% CPU! It never settles down either. Delete either, and the remaining one goes back down to about 8% again. Huh. Oh well, still a rad plugin.
