There are adjustable knobs on the side of the amp that will allow you to sculpt the tone further. One for each channel. You can also adjust the boost, and there is an adjustable gate.

great work making the modern channel sound good and work for you, I can't get along with that channel for most metal tones. Its the classic channel all the way for me.

He man, i own one of these amp 1 pedals,....try a 10 band eq thru the loop, thats what I run in my effects loop and it sounds brutal. I also have it running thru 2- 4x12 cabs, its pretty damn amazing...also man, turn up the bass on the amp 1 unit, itll sound alot fuller without using any pedals, bass and treble on 8, mids on 5....then a 10 band in the loop

I’m gonna have check out the ODD box. It’s good to have a drive on hand that doesn’t cut so much low end. Cheers man!

Great review.. I like the classic mode for upper mid punch you in the gut modded jcm 800 tones a d was boosting with ds-1.. I have an OCD and will have to give it a try..

Do you think the Iridium can hang with a 100w tube head in a live setting? Or would it need to be boosted via a Fryette PS100? Also, I've been using the ODD Box in conjunction with the Gup Tech PdeQ (presence/depth) pedal... what a combo. Gary Holt recommends the latter, saying it can turn most heads into a something Stealth-esque. He is spot on.@@TONEWARSgearshow

I'm running the ODD box through it, but even just using your baseline settings I'm getting a weird fuzzy clipping on all the channels except for the cleans. Am I missing a setting or something on the Amp1 iridium itself? Edit: I figured it out, it's the stock treble bleed that occurs when using it at lower volumes. I put it in Half Power and Low Gain Mode and the weird fuzzy clipping on all the gain channels are gone.

I like it jarrod,you should use the Amp 1 more often it sounds very good with your overdrive pedal!
