This reminds me of my old TU250X which got me into classical motorcycles

Very nice video. I wanted to get my license this year and then Covid -19 hit. The I thought I would buy the TU250X before the last ones were sold since they are not being produced anymore. I made up my mind exactly 1 week too late as there are none left where I live. So I looked for other 250’s and came across dual sports such as the Honda CRF250l, Yamaha XT250 or Kawasaki KLX. They all seem like fun but I just would have preferred the old school looks of the TU. Today I wanted to go to a dealer to decide upon one of the dual sports and in the end I did not got for whatever reason. This evening I just did a random search for the TU on the used market and there is one 35 km away from me. It is a 2017 but only has 198 km on it. It almost sounds to good to be true. I contacted the owner and hope to get a positive response shortly - can’t wait. Stay safe.

Did you end up getting that TU? I have one and love it. There are heaps of them for sale with low kms... they're not even broken in yet!! Congrats on your licence

Rosemary Lindop Yes, I told myself to check one more time on Autotrader to see whether any TU’s would be for sale and it was like it was meant to be as there was a fresh post for one which only had 200 km on it. I sent a message right away, received a response the following day - looked at it and bought it. I did not ride it yet as insurance without the M2 license was CAD 4000 per year - more than the bike.... So I signed up for a motorcycle training course which has the M2 test at the end. Afterwards insurance will become affordable. The test is Oct 2 to 4th. I can’t wait. Luckily the weather is still great and I hope to be able to ride a few times before winter hits.

@@jenshansen6731 Wow, that insurance is crazy in Canada! Congratulations on the purchase ☺. 200km for a used bike is almost unheard of 👍.

Where I live, in SK, with a safety training course, the insurance for my TU is $56 a month. Seeing as it's only rideable for about 6 months a year, that's pretty affordable.

@@jenshansen6731 are you kidding me !!! I live on the WC and have been riding for a number of yrs. I never took a course, just the test. But that was then this is now. Being under 400cc my tu costs me $325/yr with pl,pd only, no comprehensive/theft. I never let it out of my sight. 😄 Beautiful bike. You'll enjoy it, but sharpen your pencil. 4K is wayy too much for insurance.

Very inspirational. Just makes me want to drop everything and ride until the tank runs dry. The TUX does sound really good. I wondered if you would mind sharing which muffler you chose? Excellent tone from the Suzuki. Thanks for sharing and ride safe.

Ive been waiting for 6 months for a hand brake handle from suzuki in Phillipines I love the bike but next time ill buy a yamaha parts are quicker to get. I keep asking when its coming nobody can give me an answer. Very poor service.
