I've been looking at photos of Bugattis for almost sixty years now, and when you see the open-wheeled cars -- say, the 35s, 37s, 51s, or 59s -- the extreme positive camber is really eye-popping. The Bugattis of this era were just the most beautiful looking cars ever made, and this one is probably the most gorgeous of them all. What a beauty. Those curves are just simply amazing. And on top of that, it's a racecar with an insane amount of power for its time... astonishing.

No question that Ettore and his son Jean designed and built the most desirable cars ever put to paper and then into sculpted metal. What a thing. I had never heard of this model until this show: think it gives the Aerolithe and the Type 57 SC Atlantique a run for their money. Just Art Deco in motion: it's fabulous

@@kslayurgf It wouldn't need to be exactly the same and we have to remember you couldn't re-create the experience of this car today anyway because of all the regs. I love this car for what it is but even if just that look was transplanted onto say a modern MX-5 platform you would have a car which is safe, efficiant, great to drive, relatively cheap and looking at it would be something really special. Maybe do an electric version too on a BMW i3 for people that way inclined. The aerodymnamics would be easy to get to being great, that massive hood would mean you could have a very decent sized trunk and thin, tyres would look as it should and offer very easy handling. Just imagine if you came out to your Miata and it looked like that.

What a gorgeous car. It's dated in design (which is a good thing here) but timeless in class. I can't even imagine back then. 180hp in 1400 lbs is still a great power to weight ratio today. 360hp in a 2800lb car would be more than respectable. Putting it into perspective of most cars of the day, getting a ride in this would be like getting a ride in a luxery supercar or hypercar of today.
