Nepal is such a beautiful country and I feel sad cause not many people know about my country. Its so beautiful, have so many mountains and hills, lakes. You can search it in the internet. Nepal has the tallest mountain in the world i.e. Mount Everest. You should definitely visit it and go for trekking and hiking. Foods are more authentic when u try in Nepal itself. There are so many varieties. These are just the common Nepalese food that you tried. The most authentic Nepalese food is Thakali. Its rice and different curries, lentils, purified butter, pickles in one place and though it looks same as Indian food but definitely tastes different. Thats what we Nepalese eat every single day as our lunch and dinner.

That’s interesting to learn. I have met Nepalese people where I used to work but they didn’t talk to me much about their culture as Im a Black British so they couldn’t relate well with me. This was the time to watch and learn about their food and culture. I’d like to try Nepalese food one day. I was born here in London but my parents are from Ghana. It also makes me sad when not many people know much about my culture. I don’t have any Ghanaian friends but I have other African friends from different countries and they don’t know about my country. One day, I’d like to introduce them my food and tell them the basics facts about Ghanaian culture. We have all sorts of nice foods like fufu and peanut soup, jollof rice, waakye (rice and beans) etc. I know it can be hard to talk about these things with people who don’t know about your culture and don’t show much interest in learning about it. Never feel ashamed of where you’re from. You can introduce them your food and the basics of Nepalese culture.

Man tbh it must be my father’s and mother’s cooking skills but damn home made nepali food tastes better than store brought espically the momos

Nepal is in south asia but a lot of us look a little more east asian etc other because we are also next to china and some of us have some east asian roots from our ancestors and food is also diverse too for example a lot of south asian influences and there are other nepalese foods that are more east asian influenced too

Nepalis are South Asian and so their culture and food is similar to neighbouring SA countries (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka). But yes, some Nepalis have facial features that are similar to East Asians which actually makes sense if you look at where Nepal is located (the same also applies to North-East Indians) :)

Nepal is located in South Asia with Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. We are right between China/India. We have similar foods as India-Tibet. I don’t even know what Nepali people real face looks like 😂😂😆😹, since we have very diverse people. We can look like Indian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Bengali, Pakistani, Burmese, so many. Sometime i can even get confused if people i see in store is Nepali or Indian 😂. There are like 123 languages in Nepal. We love to eat spicy foods. And thanks for trying our foods. 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵

idk if other countries have this but in nepal for example you have like surnames but inside those surnames are more if that makes sense that’s why nepali people aren’t allowed to marry certain surnames because if u have the same ur related so u cant marry and each surname has their own language, food and cultural dresses

You can call Nepali people Nepali people or Nepalese and the reason why Nepali people look Chinese and have similar food to India is because Nepali people are from China and they split up. And a long time ago India took over Nepal and made them be more like India
