When this came out Saki commented they shot the vid while watching the original MV. She said that's Mayu's husband walking by. She also noted Tamu uses a traditional grip to be faithful to the original. Nemophila are currently in rehearsal for a joint concert with the godmothers of Japanese rock Show-Ya. The show is meant to put a sort of exclamation point on the series of concerts they did with various bands earlier in the summer.

Thanks again for the great response to NEMOPILA. The person who created this bidet is fantastic. The man walking in front of and behind Mayu is her husband.🤗 NEMOPILA's covers always respect the originals. Tam can also play jazz drums, so he should be familiar with this style.

I LOVE their sense of humor... They crack me up... and they're SO versatile.... the most authentic classic rock sounding group when doing covers, yet with chops surpassing those of every band they cover.... and they show respect to those they cover while making fun of their own differences (females instead of males with moustaches etc).... and they have fun doing the classic rock video poses too.... they do stuff like this in most of their covers and in some of their own original songs.... LOVE them!

This cover/video, especially considering the circumstances, is just brilliant. When I saw this comparison video for the first time, I laughed so much and was really amazed at how closely they followed the original. Absolutely! It was great!

My first experience with Journey was playing Journey Escape on the Atari 2600. It was an auto-runner and you had to guide each band member through barricades, photographers, shifty agents, spotlights, and groupies to the Scarab, digitized Journey songs playing all the while. It was a strangely-addictive game. Tamu said on Twitter that if she laughed her mustache would fall off. The guy in Mayu's scenes is her husband; she put their wedding photos on Instagram, and she looks so beautiful. I like that for this video Mayu went with the sleeveless shirt, too. I've played this one live as well, though for a bass player, Journey is kind of a rest break. Still, it's fun to break out the occasional Journey cover just to get the people singing along.

When I saw this was out there, I immediately knew this was the one. LOL!

I don't know if you caught it or not, but Hazuki is the keyboard player, playing the keyboard parts using MIDI on guitar. Each of the girls is playing the part of their corresponding Journey band member in the video. When Steve Smith is on screen, so is Tamu. When Steve Perry is, so is Mayu. When Neal Schon is, so is Saki, etc. Brilliant.

The cover videos from Nemophila are all so cool and fun. Such a talented band that doesn't take themselves too seriously. That is such a good thing. My favorite cover is still Kiss Detroit Rock City. They just looked so awesome and cute in the makeup. Never thought I would think Kiss could be kawaii! Musically they are always spot on with the covers. I'm glad that they continue to do covers in addition to the original songs. Of course, they got together to be a cover band, but happy they do both covers and originals.

When the Nemophila cover came out, I was watching it in the staff room at work. I kept laughing every time I saw Tamu's face, to the point that one of my coworkers came to see what I was watching because she could hear me in the hallway.
