Neil Young performs "Harvest Moon" at the Farm Aid concert in Seattle, Washington on September 18, 2004.
Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

In 1970, after returning from Vietnam, I married my high school sweetheart! At the time we could only afford a very simple wedding and spend one night at Motel 6. To celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary we booked a Caribbean cruise. Unbeknown to us, our four children surprise us with a honeymoon package. After the Capt. renews our vows we dance the night away with Neil Young and Harvest Moon. To say that we had the time of our life for 6 beautiful romantic nights is the understatement of the century!

This was the song my daughter picked for our father daughter dance, at her wedding. It will be again at my funeral. Thank you Neil. God Bless
One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
He's singing it like it's the first time he's ever said those werds...it definitely means something to him. Heart-wrenching...lost love, old girlfriend etc. What a gift he has to put into words that spark of recognition that every man (or woman 👍) has once in a while. *esp when looking at the moon...or is it just me😂
I can’t believe this was 18 years ago. I had taken mushrooms with some friends and will never forget when he played this song.

True to his roots
A love song for the ages. It never leaves me dry eyed or grateful for the love I have and the loves I've lost. Neil Young's voice has weathered every day, every year of his life, it only gets richer and more meaningful. So deep, so much feeling.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Niel Young!!! These songs Harvest Moon, Hurricane, and Heart of Gold are my absolute favorites in the world!! I saw Neil at the Greek Theater this past July and it was my very first time listening to him live. I was in heaven and my heart was full of love for him. I admit, I got teary-eyed at times but it was the reaction so many people had, I was not alone! If you're reading this, Neil, I love you!
It’s 2021 now, but I rediscovered this song last year from many artists and groups. For some reason here I am in my 70’s and totally immersed in this song. It is so soothing and delightful. And of course he does it best.
