Neighbors call CODE ENFORCEMENT "It's like a SNAKES DEN over there!"

#CJMowing The neighbor openly admits to calling CODE ENFORCEMENT on this overgrown and neglected property stating that he's tired of the snakes that wander into his yard from the thick weeds across the street. Multiple neighbors have similar concerns and incidents of snakes invading their property. We rung the doorbell at least five times hearing someone or something inside the home that had a clear code enforcement legal notice posted at the base of the driveway. This video shows all the interactions we encountered with the neighbors as well as the process of mowing down this mess of a yard with before and after videos. We hope you enjoy the video!!

NEVER EVER CALL THE COPS. If there is no answer the cops will bust down the door and enter anyway. Good idea you think? what if person is sleeping? cops won't fix the door, they demand ID and ask a million questions and if their victim doesn't answer....anything from arrest to death can occurr. NO the cops do not take them to the hospital unless they really have to. But they will steal their guns, money, jewelry, sunglasses, and anything else they "like" Here is a thought, get up off your ass and go knock on the door your own self. knock loudly.

What kind of people live in this neighborhood? Most of them should be ashamed of themselves. A wellness check is definitely in order. Is a lack of kindness and empathy a Florida thing? I guess that would explain that putz of a governor...

I won't disagree with you about this neighborhood possibly neglecting a neighbor, bur there are many nice people here that are kind and do wonderful things. sometimes people are agoraphobic or just want to be left alone. even if they have issues. many of us will never ask for or accept help because of pride and never wanting to be seen as weak or pathetic. sometimes dignity is all they have and while I commend this clean up, I don't agree with all the comments saying that people should get involved with things they know nothing about. after all, you all probably enjoy your own privacy on some level.

When people see things like that in their neighborhood, If they have not seen a person enter and return to that house periodically. They should call the authorities the police to ask them for a wellness check , Sometimes it could be illegal aliens, squatters, Or someone is being held without their consent Like being kidnap. And if everything is okay then you can start you don't have to ask the person but you got to understand when a person at their yard get like that they don't have the money or either they're sick they're up in age they don't really have contact with people anymore because everybody that they practically know is sick or dead And their immediate relatives younger folks their mind does not tell them you if you age you going to be in this situation one day . So please neighbors remember it is a reflection on your house and neighborhood when this happens that a person that their house gets so gross so wildly and trees and branches and grass , It would be good if the neighbors got together and chip in money it would probably be $5 if its 14 houses on the block and you can pay somebody $5 to come by every two weeks like your grass is cut $5 and they cut those persons that person's grass but first you got to get a wellness check to make sure that person is. Incapable of not doing it themselves or financially incapable that they cannot afford it. We are to be helpers one to another. In all practicality and honestly and truthfully when we do something for someone else their benefit we are really doing something to benefit ourselves because it goes to the throne room of God so the neighbors could just get together and say this is what we will do for twice twice twice a month that those persons get their grass and stuff maintain and they can pay $5 a week you know for every two weeks and so that would be $10 for each that's not a bad deal I myself has in my neighborhood no one was living in the house the people had moved and it was the grass was getting tall and it does not make sense because when people see grass is tall and stuff they will check and see if anybody there if it's not then they start squatting then they start selling drugs maybe I don't know but you know some bad things can happen and more the grass grow up tall you really can't do it you can I see what's going on with that property So really being helpful will really be being helpful to yourself And on top of that magnifying your goodness and mercy is presented to the throne room. that person may not bless you they may not offer you anything but God will profit you through somebody it may be 5 years of 10 and not only that your children might be in a predicament and they need help that you have accumulated . You don't lose anything if you're good to other people so I think it's a blessing for the neighbors and any neighborhood when they see something like that get together and some of them may not want to pay $5 every two weeks which would amount to $10 each a piece a month they may not want so just don't get angry still speak to him if that's not what they want to do you guys you go on and you do the good thing the right thing God has never against anybody that is doing the good and right things in his name I love you much I love you all in Christ Jesus name be the glory amen 🙏🕊️ forever 🙏🕊️💞 with much love❤

@Angharadz2 law enforcement can do plenty if called for a wellness check. But code enforcement only can give citation for violations. They don't even have to leave you notice on your door. Though they do, mail notification is all that's required. At least where I live. But the young ones don't care about anyone else but themselves. They ignore their neighbors unless they think they can get something in return. But one day, they'll get what they deserve.

I always mowed his yard, just because I wanted too. One day, there was a faint knock at my front door. The elderly man was there at my door and handed me a rose from his rose bush. He kept thanking me for taking care of his yard. I said "that's what neighbors do" and I gave him a hug. Unfortunately, he commited suicide a few weeks later😢! It never ceases to amaze me how neighbors know there is a need and they don't rally together to help the elderly or handicapped. They don't know the blessing they are missing. One neighbor could mow, another edge, another weed whack, another trim shrubs, and finally one to blow and haul debris or take to curb for pickup. I use to mow my neighbors front lawn just because I knew both worked full time and went to school part time. They were more than capable, it was just being neighborly. I have younger neighbors who have let me know if i need something to call them. We are rural so our mailboxes are on same side of the road. Box next to mine opens my box. If on the 3rd day i have not gotten mail they would bring to door and see if i was ok. They now know the days i go to the box so they dont worry as much. Due to some mobility issue i cant push a mower so i bought a rider and have no problem doing their front yard, no access to their rear yard with locks in place so i do what i can to help them out. I used to be the neighbor who helped my neighbors all the time. Kepp wondering when did i become the old lady of the neighborhood lol. Watching your Mom work like that and bend over lifting, reminds me of how I was, working alone in my garden (did enjoy the solitude and the end result when finished) really has me concerned she doesn’t cause damage to her spine. My damage was in the last 5 years, as I am older with circumstances during those years caused me to lift things that was heavier than the bags of mulch. NOW my neighbor mows my lawn and snow blows the driveway, at a very nominal price, that my son pays for. My children and their families live out of state, and I’m very thankful to God for having this help. Watching this channel, with the people who can’t do it on their own, and who don’t have the advantage of help, made me realize “but by the Grace of God, there go I” You are a complete blessing for your once a week volunteer day, wedged into your regular work days.

I heard the word 'neighbor' a lot but those people sure didn't lend a hand to someone in their time of need. It's a damn shame that none of them bothered to help.

In have done it for my neighbour when the need was there. ( Medical issues.) Now that it has been done, that front yard both behind and outside the fence is about 20 mins work with push motor mower and maybe another ten minutes once in a while with a weed eater to maintain the edges. If a few pitched in they might only be called upon every couple of months to contribute half an hour. I'm 72 and getting a little wobbly, but not so wobbly I can't do better than complain.

Thank you so very much for cleaning up this lady’s front yard! It looks so nice now! I doubt any of the neighbors will do anything to help, so would you please go by there again in a month or so and do one last mowing and tidying up for the season? And take a ladder? The front gutter really needs those plants removed. *Thank you* for your kindness and generosity!! ❤️

As always, you do a great job on these lawns. I enjoy seeing the transformation from jungle to actual yard again. I have been one of those140K+ return viewers who has just now pushed the subscribe button. As for the viewer comments on the neighbors not helping out this lady, no one knows the back story of this situation. The homeowner may have mental health issues with paranoia , and doesn't want help, let alone contact with anyone. So bless you, CJ Mowing for the gifts you give to people who need your services, but can't, or won't contact someone to help care for their landscapes.

I never watch your video's that I don't laugh at you guys acting silly. I love it. I know that the neighbors loved you for mowing this. The yard looks so much better. I feel bad for the person or people living in the house because they have no visitors or, obviously, nobody who cares enough to come and visit them and to check on them. Luckily my middle son comes every other weekend and mows my grass. Other than that I have no visitors or anyone who checks on me. I am fine and very happy alone with my dog now that I have gotten used to it. I was an only child so most of my life I have spent alone. Not a bad life. Luckily I can drive and I make it to church every week. I do grocery pickup because I walk with a cane and it is just too hard to walk a store. I wonder why they never check their mail. I was a letter carrier and I know that they can make arrangements to have their mailbox moved to their front porch so that they can get their mail. I have that service with my trash pickup. I can get my trash can to the outside of my garage door and the trash man comes up and rolls my can down and empties it and brings the empty can back up. My driveway is sloped so I would probably be found in the street or with the dang trash can laying on me if I tried to take it out! Thanks for doing this for people who can't do it themselves.

Your church family should be ashamed. No ones helps or visits you. That is what a church is supposed to do. This is why I do not go to local churches, I have seen how they treat seniors or disabled or sometimes just different people and they DISGUST ME. I only watch a few churches because mist of them our just out to get money especially the hyper faith positive think ones. Like the one where they found stolen money from his church in his multi billion church walls and it was ignored.

I am glad your son and the garbage people help. And the mail is closer. On my block, if the lady across the street sees my car not moved after some time, she will call me. If she doesn't put her garbage can out, I will call her. Once a neighbor didn't put his garbage out...I didn't notice until a relative asked me to check on him. I had a key and found he must have just passed. A lot of neighbors don't see each other, but if word gets around that you have an emergency, we can count on each other to help. I bet you could too.

Wow. It looks phenomenal now! Bless her heart. Like the neighbor said, there has to be a reason for being a recluse. Maybe she has nobody to check on her and maybe she's by herself in this world. That's a bleak thought. Maybe it brought her some degree of comfort to know there are other humans outside of her closed in world, that care enough to extend kindness to her and clean up her property. I sure hope that it has. Our elders need us, no matter the circumstance and I wish her well. Thank you for helping her, and the community as well. Blessings to you both! Bravo!! 🎉 37:13

Thank you for being so kind and generous. So many people see situations like this and all they can do is bitch about how it inconveniences them. Few people are compassionate enough to stop and say, “Hey, what happened to cause this? Is the owner elderly, or sick, or disabled and they can’t take care of it themselves? Perhaps they are living in Social Security and simply don’t have the money to hire help.” Bad things happen to good people everyday, and it has nothing to do with their character! We need to help each other!

Well they can’t smell anything awful and they would if the house is full of rotting trash, kind of scary that none of them seem to care about it enough to either help out or get a welfare check. I know she’s in there and struggling but it’s not my problem just doesn’t cut it morally appears they don’t even know her name
