ANGRY KAREN & CODE ENFORCEMENT! She shows up with Husband and DEMANDS we STOP Mowing!

#cjmowing
Searching in the Ocala Historic district we found a home nearly on the brink of a City Code Violation. We stopped at several neighbors homes (not shown in the video for time sake) to enquire about the home that seemed abandoned. We were directed to a specific home where the home owners offered us the contact info for the home we were looking at.
In this video, we go from trying to help a potential City Code Violation home to getting ran off the property. We then find and actual City Code Violation across town in a pleasant neighborhood. Along the way we speak with several of the neighboring homeowners who have different ideas about what is going on with the overgrown property we have our eye on. This video shows the before during and after transformation of the property. We hope you all enjoy this video!!

@@joanneriley3899 Nothing wrong with that kind of click bait. There was nothing false or overstated in it. And, yes, the idea is to get people to view the videos. Do you get angry when stores advertise their goods or a sale in the papers (oh, nvm, you probably don't read the papers) or on TV? That's how they pull customers into their stores so they can sell goods and make money to live and buy more goods to sell. Same idea with YT. Those titles are their only chance at advertising to pull in customers. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I disagree. She was hardly angry, a snarky old woman yes but not angry. It was overstated and yes I would be angry if I went to the supermarket and bought something that wasn’t quite as described. By the way, I don’t read the papers as they are a load of rubbish that brain fed people read. I use reliable sources for my news. Proper news, not tittle tattle and grocery adverts. I pick up my local supermarkets advertising leaflet and look at that. I look at the shelves and goods on sale and see whether I feel they are worth buying. If I like them i buy them. False or slightly incorrect advertising only gets a bad reputation. I’ll view some more of their videos as I subscribed because I like gardening videos. If I don’t like them because of the titles etc then I’ll unsubscribe gladly because there are tons of these channels doing an honest and great job. By the way, they originally said they would mow the lawn for free. They then started cutting things down. If I said yes please to a free lawn mow and came back to find bits of tree cut off I’d ask them to leave too That was not what was agreed to.

Too bad about the first house. The lady reminds me of how my mom was as she descended into dementia. She was high functioning for a long time and able to hold conversations that made sense but she was suspicious and paranoid and found fault with everything. We didn't know she was suffering dementia it just seemed like she got angrier and stranger as she got older. She would also get angry with you over things that didn't make much sense. Don't take it to heart. You never know what people are going through.

Takes a medical diagnosis. BUT, One would think that the person with the woman, WOULD HAVE AND SHOULD HAVE ALERTED THEM TO THE FACT THAT SHE HAS DEMENTIA... Same thing can be happening here......that's the whole point of my comment. You never know what someone is going through.....and sometimes they don't know it yet either. But, typical for YT, one can make a comment that points out how it's often best to let go of blaming other people but somebody still pops up and finds a way to do it anyway.

I’m a widow in my 70’s and know the feeling of being overwhelmed. I think that’s what happens with many of these homeowners that let their yards get so overgrown that they don’t know where to begin. I’m thankfully, even after a stroke, able to keep my yard presentable. It’s not always easy but it’s so much easier to keep up with it. A friend of mine gave me good advice. He said tackle a little each day - I go out an hour or 2 each time so I don’t exhaust myself. I’ve been able to purchase a little at a time some battery operated tools, including, a mower, weed eater, blower & chain saw. So much lighter & easier to handle than gas powered. I know there may come a time when I won’t be able to do those tasks and will have to seek other options. I have also been blessed my neighbors that will lend me a hand. God bless you both for helping those that that need help ❤

Casey & Trish, I appreciate what you did, But, remember "All good Deeds, get NO Rewards"? The Ocala Code Enforcement sign, was a legal posting? Ocala knew who those people were, the mailbox was open an full of mail? I bet it was being Foreclosed, Banks never cut the grass till Auction Day! Homeowners need to MAINTAIN their property, pay the taxes, pay their mortgage, etc., or else? Don't walk away & leave an eyesore, bring all the neighborhood values down? Are you guys coming back in 2 weeks to do it again? Let the Zombie House Buyers of Florida buy them, remodel them, & bring some value back to these DERILECT houses? Trish you need wasp spray & Ear protection!! Take Care Be Safe ! PS, If an elderly Lady or a Veteran lived there, I would have cut the grass! I didn't see any neighbors helping out? You need to be more careful, you were Trespassing, the last people seen on the property, if anything was damaged or stolen, you are liable! Good Luck ! Merry Xmas!

It seems like a weird suggestion, but my Aunt had the same issues, if you look up your local Seventh Day Adventist community, they do things like this as a 'service to the community'. I'm not a SDA member, but they're good people who will help with no strings attached. They're obliged to do one day a week helping someone, so it's worth a try. Good luck & best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤

The saddest part is the need for you to provide this free service, if everyone would look out for their neighbors regardless of personal situations this yard would never look like that. Personally I have lived in the same house for almost 24 years and cannot tell you how many times I have mowed, cleaned up, shoveled snow, or just fixed things for everyone on my street.
