This 12 minute video is way easier to understand. Much better than an hour and a half of confusing old concepts online public school says to use.

I started watching your videos last year in high school and many, these are going to save me. You teach at just the right pace and don't belittle your audience, giving problems that actually make sense regarding how they increase in difficulty? And you don't just assume that because you've explained a rule once it'll be clear when and where it applies, especially in more complex problems. Fantastic content, can't believe this is free.

Most helpful example for visualizing why it works is @9:57 all examples helped with how to do these problems but I didn't understand why the exponents behaved like this, until this example. Thanks!
Thank you so much! This was so helpful for me! Your video has totally cleared my confusion and misunderstanding about negative exponents, I was really concerned about why I wouldn't get the concept! Thankfully, it's all crystal clear to me now.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! My teacher is already teaching this in 5th grade, I've learned more from this video than school itself! Once again, thank you!
MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank for another great video that focus on Negative Exponent.
When I need a refresher on a topic, or my professor is not making sense, I come to your tutorials. Thank you so much!
This was perfect for me I really got to learn the concept , unlike other programs where they don't explain how they got the answer.
Your videos are amazing. Keep it up. I hope there’s a video explaining rational exponents and Exponential Notation

cutting it a lil'close eh? if we (myself included) would spend as much time studying as we do watching TV i bet grades would improve drastically! if there is ONE thing i learned in HS... tests r easy if were prepared :)

Amanda S i usually dont spend time on tv suprisingly. I just have a lot in my schedule that week and i couldnt find any time outside of school until then to study. Also my teacher rarely gives us more than a week to learn a whole lesson before we take the test. And she confuses me when she teaches. Sorry if it just sounded like im lazy but it just seems odd to me that math always came easy to me and when i get into this class when i even study and participate in the class i still get confused and my grades have gone from straight A's to C's and D's.

Been there :) i think we teach math wrong? were taught rules that elicit a correct answer like.. how to solve the pythagorean theorem..then we do a ton of similar problems. we're hardly ever asked to solve problems were not familiar with? i came to think math was a series of rules to be memorized without knowing how to do different kinds of equations... bugger. i wonder if the establishment evn wants EVERYBODY to get good at math? or jst a chosen few ?! good luck... we're gonna need it :)

@@amandas1270 I agree with your statement full-heartedly! I always wondered why I did so poorly on mid-term/final exams related to maths, and I think that very much has to do with what you stated. Great stuff. A question: When you get to about 8:49 in the video, and you go a^3 - a^7, how do you know a^-4 goes in the numerator?

When the base is same and they are dividing then the power of the denominator gets subtracted from the power of the numerator that’s why a^3/a^7= a^3-7; a^-4

Amazing! Is there an intuitive understanding as to why this works?
You are way too amazing brother! Thanks a lot!
I have a question, if there is a problem like this, 6x+y/(7x^-2)^-3, and you were trying to make all of the numbers positive by moving it up, would only the -3 be changed into a positive, or all of them?
why does switching the numbers in the fraction at 1:02 turn the exponent positive?
thanks, i got a new math teacher and she doesn’t mention everything we need to know so ive been having to search things up
