Necromunda: House Goliath Stimmers & Forgeborn unboxed!

As a child of the 80s I will forever have a soft spot for models in punk apparel- the more wild and garish, the better. The Goliaths have certainly continued to carry their stylistic choices into the new edition of Necromunda, and the fact that we're seeing new plastic releases is definitely something worth checking out.
These new models certainly fit in quite well with the current crop of Goliaths, and I think with some creativity you could probably make these new models into all sorts of new conversion possibilities, especially since game- wise none of these figures are actually limited to the gear they're modeled with.
The Stimmers look better in person and you could probably get a working berzerker with minimal conversion out of one. They give off a major Juicer vibe from Rifts as well. I always liked Rifts. I'm saddened we'll never see models of all the craziness that game entails.
The Forgeborn are just as nice but a bit more limited by their poses. They were also quite fiddly putting together. I made quite a gluey mess out of them. Part of me wants to get a second box and see if I could do a better job putting them together (and in a lot less of a hurry) and see if they're compatible with current Goliath parts, or how we'll they'd work as Orlock conversions with different heads and a few other bits. We'll see...

You sir are a God, I've commented on your vids many times but whenever I come looking for a specific unit or mini to have a gander before I purchase you are always there with the goods! Thank you and keep up the good work. PS. These models are ace and the stimmers are immense!

Glad I could help! Stimmers really are big dudes, and makes me curious to see what kinds of toys the other gangs will get to play with!
I wish they would release 40k rules for the individual gangs to be used as recruits for Imperial militias, Chaos Cults, and Genestealer Brood Bros. Sure you can used them for these to an extent, but I'd love GW to specifically say they're meant to fill those roles as well.
Glad to see they are plastic, usually when GW doesn't specify in the description they turn out to be resin. All I can think of when I see the Goliath Gang are Digganobz and I might have to pick some up for my Boyz

Rifts minis would be epic, Juicers were great fun, id love to see some minis based on Rifts Atlantis - some of those powersuit drawings were awesome

I'd love to see just about anything from Rifts hit the table with current sculpting technology! I know they tried a kickstarter a little while back that didn't fund, but I'd love to see them do something. Heck, license it out and let someone else take a stab at it.
Id wish they would make a game that plays in the time of the thunder warriors with techno barbarian and so on.....

That would certainly be a cool era to game in. I'd hope it would be a significant departure from the current style of 30/40k in terms of aesthetics.

They're nice models, it's such a shame they are also mono-pose, a real missed opportunity. At least the individual models are useful for various campaigns.
