Don't you hate when you can't get a better look at things you're interested in?
I certainly do.
So I started this channel as a means to showcase some of the less known hobby items that I enjoy.
With the caveat that hopefully it's of some use to you dear viewers as well!

Mechazam the GOAT,also where can one find this artbook?
Hi, I’m a subscriber. And I like your show.. with respect I have a request if possible. When you show these miniatures from different sources, I find myself interested in some of them. However, I fear ordering them because I don’t know how they’re going to stack up scale wise with my large miniature collection that I have spent a lot of money on. It’s an eclectic collection. But I judge scale off of reaper and WizKid miniatures. If it’s not too much trouble. Could you perhaps use a miniature of a human from one of these in addition to what you would normally use? It would help me immensely.. and I am sure there are others out there like me it would also help. Either way, thank you for your time. And thank you for the great show.
ty i was stuck on the odd back bone portion that is 180 degrees in the manual
It comes with a cloth cape right?
Only thing I'm not a big fan of is the fact that all the helmets have visors/glasses. The mercenaries, I think, kit, has one helmeted head without a visor, and I think it looks awesome. Otherwise looks to be a solid kit! Was thinking about picking one up to make some not-Imperial Guard from 40k, or maybe Halo Marines, just for fun really.
Great video! Can I ask you what scale this is printed in? 28mm, 32mm, 40mm etc?
Thanks for the video and size comparison to 40K. I found a set of warriors and the queen that I'm going to to kitbash into a squad of genestealers and a broodlord for my Tyranids.
I've just picked this up and realized that the instructions only have the build for 3 of them. Are the rest supposed to customized according to my liking?
That's the way to do it!
7:44 I find unpainted mini's easier to read and compare, so I wouldn't mind if you used those.
The lady with the Vega mask has to be my favorite. Very cool pose.
1:24 really like when you show use the build options!
I bought these first because I liked the ecstatic of them the most out of all the first gen warbands. They still hold up really well. Maybe the Untamed beasts have better poses, but I am more of a ninja guy, than a barbarian guy...
Even though I like the pose of the leader, these are a little too much body horror for me.
It's funny you mention that asepct, because all this time later and I have yet to paint a single model from this warband, primarily for that reason.
Beautiful artworks thanks for sharing.
I love the Serpent Caller!
It's a cool model, something WarCry always seems to have plenty of! Now if I could only get around to opening/ building/ finishing all the other various WarCry boxed sets I haven't completely dealt with...
@@ObscuritiesinMiniature I would love it if you would review other WarCry sets as well!
Very useful to get an better idea what these are like. I think the Untamed Beasts are of the better looking Warcry warbands and too bad they are going OOP.
I'm inclined to agree with you! One of the reasons why they are one of my fully painted WarCry warbands!
You see the new JSA TAG that just dropped? They even brought back the Tikbalang!
The Shindenbutai blade mech? Oh yeah! I liked that new Tikbalang too.
just got myself this kit! your review sold me on it! on a side note tho try panel lining your kits then finishing it off with a topcoat would look 100x better!! anyways keep up the good work!
Believe it or not I have a bottle of Tamiya panel liner sitting next to me currently for just that purpose! I liked this one enough to keep an eye on Zao Workshop's upcoming kits. I enjoyed it a lot!
WAAAGH!!
Why no mention of Moebius? Is Jean Giraud what you imply by "European influence"?
Weird- I thought I did! Heck, I thought I even pulled out the old Arzach stuff and looked at them together. Maybe it was in a different video or with a different book? I'm honestly scratching my head over this. I could have sworn I filmed something at one point showing the original Arzach sequence with Kobayashi's homage.
killer review killer book
I had to use buldock clips to bring the trail together and the right hand skull keeps falling off. Definitely one of the harder models to assemble. Had to use green stuff to fill loads of gaps and loads of warping. Took a lot of effort to resolve the issues.
This book $1495 on Amazon Canada... ~same on eBay
Probably the same seller just trying to make a buck of the desperate or uninformed. That's not cool. Of course, not keeping books like this in print isn't exactly cool either when there's still a regular demand for it...
Hey, could you tell me what that big miniature kit that showed up at 5:28 was called? It's super cool!
Pretty sure it's the original Raicho for Infinity's Combined Army. It has an updated model these days that looks substantially different!
@@ObscuritiesinMiniature Thank you so much for letting me know! I'll try to find it in Japan! Also, the paint job is freaking awesome! Thanks!
With some GW Chaos warriors heads, some very decent Chaos dwarves
haven't had updates? You still there??
I'm still here! I'll be home mid- July. Still rolling around the rice fields in the Japanese countryside! I've had a hell of a time trying to get all my electronics to cooperate this trip and haven't been able to update anything yet- I'll see what I can do!
@@ObscuritiesinMiniature Have a good Time!! we're not going anywhere! Hear you when you get back!😊
I have Hiten, and Biten, now i need this Maten.
You're two ahead of me still, so consider yourself lucky! I had a chance on one of those, forget which- naturally went back to get it the next day, and of course it wasn't there!
@@ObscuritiesinMiniature I got them on Amazon used for like $60 each, very worth it. Both came very good condition. I really want to get a copy of hero but it's like $230
How do you think these stack up against gripping beast
Much more defined and a bit truer scale. Not to knock on Gripping Beast, but they're sculpts tend to be a bit more squat and heroic. I'm somewhat curious how they'd work together. I'd say if they're painted and based similarly it wouldn't be too bad.
The little 'hook' type thingies are belt hooks to help span the crossbow...... you hook your foot in the stirrup, bend forward, hook the belt onto the string and stand up.... this draws back the string quicker than using the windlass on lower poundage bows.
The orc war boss with the shield looks like the art work from 6th edition where a massive orc is fighting a human form the empire.
Yeah, those Avatars of War Orcs have a very Adrian Smith look to them- big and menacing!
How do these models size up with GW's stuff? Pretty close in scale?
Scale- wise they're pretty comparable, but they are much more true scale in their proportions, so they may look a bit stand out- ish if mixed with GW figures- on the other hand, units of them fighting Empire models or something would look absolutely fine I'd wager.
They are definitively some of my favorite miniatures. Currently working on painting up 2000 points of Grimdark Future Battle Brothers using Puppetswar prints.
The amount of modular parts that are available for their battle brothers at this point is pretty impressive. You can have quite the tailor- made force of individual figures if you were so inclined!
@@ObscuritiesinMiniature Definitively.
Are these bigger than the GW metal forest goblins?
Then the metals? Probably. Been ages since I encountered the metals in the wild. They've got enough of a unique look though that while they may not be a 1:1 match, they'd look pretty good together on the tabletop, especially if you have both in nicely sized units!
the point is that they transform and u take part of every bit of the process, thats all of their play values
Which is probably why I started gravitating to the candy toy kits at the supermarkets as they started to get released- I enjoy the building process far more than the transforming process!
この本には仮面ライダーエターナルは描けれていますか?
Maybe? I am in Japan right now and the book is in California, so I cannot look at it.
Hi all! I'm looking for rules tp play Aztecs vs. Conquistadors. Any recommendation?
I've enjoyed Lion Rampant for smaller scale historical battles. Especially since I don't have the time or patience to paint up massive piles of both armies!
Cool video...I just finished up building this model...pretty simple until I realized I forgot to add the door step piece...Your video showed what that extra part was for and where it goes...whew! Have you painted up your model yet?
I haven't painted ANY of my scenery! It's horrible! I have two or three (at least) of those various Warcry boxed sets from GW, all that terrain... and it's all still grey! What's even more sad is I have spray paints I had picked up to at least give it all a solid base coat and follow up with some drybrushing... and years later, I still haven't done it. Maybe this summer is the one, right?
I will use those for Guevesa models
With weapons as-is or swapped in with GW ones? It's always neat seeing people's allied human forces!
Who did the art work for the box?
I'd love to know. I don't think I've ever come across that info, which there isn't a while lot of out there on the internet, unfortunately.
Not sure if you've tried, but would the Albion Knights heads fit on Warhammer Empire knights bodies?
Depends if you mean the new or old knights. Empire knights? They may work. The new Cities of Sigmar ones, I don't think they would. The more interesting question I have bubbling up is how these heads and other parts would work with the new Victrix and Wargames Atlantic knights and footmen!
I had to fix my space wolf cavalry tail with a metal pin, i have 6 grey knight terminators 1 grand master and 4 sisters ive fixed 1 sister leg and joytoy was wonderful enough to send me 2 new different grey knight legs. Ill keep buying more.
I'm glad customer service was able to help you out! That's always good to hear! Thankfully all my Joytoy figures have been pretty sturdy... so far at least!
The with Catachans is that they not bad if you paint them correctly. I have a soft spot in my heart and far too many of them.
The modern Northstar kits are crisssspppy. The chain mail on that sprue is the best I've seen in the industry.
I saw there's new cultists coming out. Definitely on my list of things to get in the future!
