Wargames Exclusive- Greater Good PHYSICAL MODELS!

Ойын-сауық

I saw someone lamenting on this very channel that Wargames Exclusive wasn't releasing any of their STL files as actual models.
Well guess what- THEY ARE!
I got ahold of some of their physical models and the results are quite nice!
Check 'em out here-

At first glance they looked cast in plastic. The finish on them reminds me a lot of the Halloween Malifaux sets.

I checked the site, I like some of their woman or girl in relation to other daughters and sons of her parents in combat models as well. Though some of their only good faction models are a little too cheese cakey. Sure I'll buy some of them up and put them on the table with a little side eye from my players, but I think they'll complement the sculpts after suggesting they look like Boris Vallejo covert art.

I really agree with kinda flanderization of models. I get that theyre made to be game pieces but I really prefer them being toy soldiers first and just let me have fun and make believe what their role is.

I agree. Initially it was the rule of cool that got my attention on games like this in the first place. I remember seeing an ad or article in either Games Magazine or Dragon in our school library(!) when I was in elementary school, with pictures of crazy painted skaven models, daemonettes, and all sorts of chaos stuff, and recognizing the name Warhammer and kind of being aware of what it was, set me down a long and perilous rode... I had no idea what Skaven or Daemonettes were. I just knew it looked awesome. Our first Warhammer games were everything but the kitchen sink affairs. Knights on horseback, RAFM proxies, Kryomek, Ral Partha and Grenadier models... whatever was handy. And it worked, and it was a hell of a lot of fun! Nobody to finger wag and say we could use X models to represent Y, Z didn't have the correct equipment or base size... it just didn't matter!

@@ObscuritiesinMiniature I think that was something that really drew me into the hobby, just how much of a blank canvas everything was in an absurd world where you could do pretty much anything. I look back fondly on 5th where the rules just let you do whatever, it could be tons of fun or break competitive from all the min maxing lol. I ended up going with WarmaHordes because of the more competitive balanced rule set and lower price but the heavily scripted world and units always felt really restricted so 40k and WFB always stuck in my imagination. Probably didn't help that Dark Heresy and WAR were how I got deep into things after DOW.

GW hasn';t given the Tau enough attention, and luv....the proxy population of models means the variety of your army can be unique. All Models can be used in different games these days, it's up to the players. I'd bet W,E. has a great print farm going. Thanks for the look see! 👍👍

I do wonder how much of a visual difference the dark resin causes

With no paint, it helps catching details, but once they're primed, there's really no difference.
