Ars Minaba- The fantasy art of Hideo Minaba!
While these days Minaba is mostly known for his work with Granblue Fantasy, this book runs the gamut of his career (most notably with Squaresoft and the Final Fantasy series) , there are some interesting detours into territory I wasn't expecting like various Mistwalker titles and even the original Super Mario RPG!
There's a ton of neat stuff here, and in my opinion is made all the better by how unfinished it is. Most of the book is ink work, with a variety of both rough and detailed pencils. There are the occasional splashes of color but the majority of work here is pretty loose and sketchy, which gives a good look at how the artist works.

I was sold when I saw FF Tactics Advance and FFXII, but there’s so much more great stuff. I’m gonna have to pick this up for myself!
Best thing I ever did for drawing skills was a blank page book as a journal. It makes you practice. Even 15 mins a day doodling and noodling works wonders to build skills. That's why these skeches tell you so much about an artist...really nice volume! 👍👍

Terra Battle seems to go for around 1k to 2k yen if you don't mind used. Still sore we never got more art released for it. For expensive books to find, Knights of Glory is my current holy grail, where I can't even find a copy in Japan for under 10k yen anymore. I'll blame it on being all that sweet, sweet Akihiko Yoshida art in that book.

@@ObscuritiesinMiniature I got mine for around 80, still packaged- I just checked and there are alot more floating around now, not same quality but I might have been able to save a little by waiting lol
I looked for it on Amazon, sadly I couldn't find it.
