Build multiple layers of walls, it makes them less likely to attempt breaking the walls.

After discovering the hard way that the raiders will just go through even 2 block thick walls instead of going through the maze, I did some of experimenting. I wound up doing some slight modifications to the design and then simply removing all but the final 2 gates. So far, I've had 2 raids and the raiders have gone through the maze. They are all dying by about halfway through, or a bit sooner if I stand there using a Dredger Staff to shoot them through the wall. So, if you're struggling with raiders ignoring your maze and coming through the walls, just try removing all but 1 or 2 of the gates at the end of the maze. :)

Smart walkaround, but does not work anymore. Raiders just break walls on their way (unpleasant surprise was for me) and disregard that single "open" path.

Can you construct sensors? or are they also found in dungeons?

Wasn’t expecting this to actually be a thing for a trap. Is there any possibility to show where or how you built the traps? Or did you collect them over time?

Can you put a gate up that allows only settlers out or will raiders take it?

Raiders "break" open gates, so any gate is usable by settlers and prevents Raiders until they break it. Once broken, you close it and it's back to normal until broken again. Just started playing and discovered this.

Need a updated method they just destory the wall and call it a day they dont go thru the trap anymore

would be nice to see you try and create something for the new raid mechanic of them just breaking walls

@@kylerschenk520 from what the dev said they don't always spawn on the side of the opening anymore so if they spawn on the opposite side of the base they will just go thru the wall every time so gonna have to put death traps on all sides now

@@BobSwagget on the raid that I just had earlier today, they came from the same side my trap, similar to the video, was on, and walked all the way around it to the opposite side, to attack the wall. I’m essentially saying to just remove the gates, and just make the path a lot longer. I’ll try it tonight and see what happens z

You can't close all with walls, You need to left a doorway in/out

Nerd Parade, Do raiders break walls?

Does this work on the newest version? Or do raiders just destroy walls and evade the traps?

This apparently doesn't work anymore. My village was wrecked. They came through the walls....

Sadly this is absolute now. Raiders just break down the fences/walls and head straight for the base. Can't path them anymore.

well...turns out they know how to destroy walls and avoid gates and possibly traps now. they killed 5 of my 25 ish people in the last raid . including my pawnbroker 🥲
