Thanks Goodwood for putting up these full races so fast after the weekend! I missed most of the event and love looking these races back. I hope I get the opportunity to watch them all back over time. Such amazing events 😎🤗

Well, it would have been even more proper racing if the man with the flag had finished his coffee break in time and flagged the race off when it was really over - and not one lap later... 🙄

I had one for 13 years and I absolutely loved it. After I replaced it, a guy at work,said “Blimey, I thought we were going to bury you in that.”

I miss 2 door hatchbacks.

You have to give it up for the little Patrick Motorsport Mini professionally enjoyed by Nick Swift, That thing flys in the face of reality. Well done to all.

For some reason through growing up, I always knew the Mini as a Mini Morris, so it felt almost strange seeing someone named Morris in a Golf racing against Minis. :P

I went to school with Jim Morris. Lovely bloke. I think he is racing his dad’s Golf here which was campaigned in BTCC in the 80’s. Great to see him doing so well.

That was a close race between the VW Golf and the Mini Clubman. I remember going to a production saloon car race in 1975. There was Golf entered in the race. It came in last. Different story here.

A Mini Clubman Estate?!

Golf MK1 is one of the very few cars that can outcorner a Mini with the proper setup.

An Alfa Sud!! Then as a racing car! I thought they had all made the brown plague aka rust extinct! The last one I saw was in 1978, I think 😁

@@maverick4177 If you go back to the (last) lap, before the chekered flag. At 0:00, the timer is still showing on screen, they were side-by-side. In fact, Swift had a slight lead and momentum on his side. Then say the count down out loud, to youself. You'll find that not only did Swift have a three car lead at the line, but the race has been over for 3 seconds. Or start when Morris went off-track . . . 3-2-1-0-1-2-3 So unless they have some kind of "grace period" for the end of the race . . . Swift got robbed . . . ✌😎

@@SwiftuneEngineering Oh right on. Very cool. I just finished watching the final. Always fun to watch. Man that Jake Hill can get up on that wheel. Granted, the red flag helped, but he is definitely a driver. All you guys are really. I didn't start watching these until recently, about a year ago. I think it was a Mini vs Galaxy battle that caught my attention. Had no idea this was going on. I had a lefthand '59 myself, in my late teens. Suprised a lot of guys in that thing. Especially through the twisties. It took a lot of car to best me. Not braggin', just sayin'. These cars are a blast. Anyway, congradulations for the win. You were just out muscled in the final. Big fun all around . . . ✌😎

NICK SWIFT IS A G.O.A.T

I know it's not very competitive, but GO COROLLA SR5!!! It looks like a car at the early stages of being developed for racing. Had a couple of them, and they were excellent cars.
