This is great storytelling about a difficult theme, Torbjørn is moving in a landscape between science and beliefs, sometimes in the outer part of the scientific sphere, sometimes in the mythological and religious sphere, and giving us reflections on hope and comfort, and the strength of having faith.

I have no idea who this guy is, I just clicked on it simply by accident, but I must say he is an excellent speaker and this fascinating subject is something I do know about. The nurse who removed the denture from the dead patient's mouth (and he was indeed dead) was actually a male nurse, TG, and this case was the most remarkable event he had ever encountered in his career. Sceptics have tried to dismiss the case by providing ad hoc, hypothetical explanations, which involve ignoring TG's testimony and suggesting that he must have somehow been awake etc etc. Absolutely not the case ! When his denture was removed, he (Mr B) was lying flat out on a bed/board and had no breathing/heartbeat/pulse/no gag reflex (he was able to be effortlessly intubated with an endotracheal tube into his throat), he was stone cold to the touch with post mortem lividity (bluish/purple mottling on his skin) and his eyes were fixed and dilated and completely non responsive to light and yet he saw everything that was done to him, the removal of his upper denture that the ambulance men had not spotted. Not only that, he could describe the scene (who worked on him etc) the little room where he had been taken in detail, what was in it, even a small wash basin that was hidden behind a curtain (it could only be seen from an elevated position at the ceiling, apparently). This is impossible if consciousness is produced by the brain, yet there are hundreds or more of these cases now. I have dozens and dozens of them. Great communicator, Mr Dyrud, best of luck !

@@torbjorndyrud Hi, I actually replied yesterday with a long post and it's disappeared, I don't know why. I don't think you missed anything in the case, no. Best regards!
