Thanks for the instructions and the clear example. Just got my watch and I love it so far! Exited to know all the tips and tricks inside out soon. Is there a way to navigate the return route using the exact trail you used on the way in? Like back tracking where you came from if you got lost? Thanks! Subbed.

Yes. You can use the return track function but I forget what it's called.

Nice! Any reason you went with the S instead of the regular size? It’s marketed for women but I’ve found it’s just a better size watch overall

To be honest it was a gift from my wife so i really didn't have much input into which model i got. However I have found the watch to be very form fitting and I've never been a fan of large bulky watches. The display is easy to read for its size and i really rate it highly for navigation as i use it regularly for my adventures in the bush. The only negative i could say about it is that a touch screen version would be better as using the side button to navigate around maps can be cumbersome.

How accurate is that body battery functionality? did it take you 60 hours to recover? Cheers!

To be honest I don't really pay attention to it. I think it's only guessing based on your age and weight and doesn't take fitness into account.

@@AllThingsOutdoors It's a pretty clever metric, it uses quite a lot of data and measures the lag between hesrt beats to calculate fatigue...seems accurate!

May I ask how you are able to see a map on your watch? I am only able to see a Line from the route, but nothing else.

If you are travelling over flat featureless terrain with no contour or roads you won't see much on the map. I just happened to be in a really steep area with lots of contour lines. Are you able to see roads at least?

I just searched for fenix 6s straps on ebay. It was about $7. I hated the rubber strap.

I bought mine in Australia and it had basic topo maps for Australia but then I used Garmin Express to download and install more detailed maps for my region.

Yes. I only realised this recently as on the box in very fine print it actually says pro. I believe there is a difference in the mapping ability between the regular version and the pro.

WTF my 6x Pro screen looks nothing like that. This one looks great!
