Thank you! My nails were similar to the first picture and I was despairing that they would never be better. Since watching this video I have: *stopped all hardeners and nail polishes *been using various oils and urea cream on my nails *doing warm oil soaks *regularly filing and they are so much better already after about 3 weeks. They feel glossy and are naturally shiny.

This works! I saw this video and realized that water was causing my nails to peel and they looked terrible. I started applying oil to my nails several times throughout the day, especially after water exposure, and started wearing gloves at work to keep my hands clean and not need to wash as often. I was shocked to see my hands and nails looking better immediately. Within a couple days I could see real improvement. My nails no longer peel and break. It has been about 2 months. Thank you so much for your research, information, and suggestions!

This could be my story with peeling nails ! I’ve gone through the same steps as your writer in trying to salvage my nails ,now I hope that by stopping buffing down the peeling portion of my nails I’ll have filled in the final piece to this nail puzzle. I’ve also just put my jojoba oil next to my kitchen sink as a reminder to apply after getting my hands wet. I believe the magic portion to healthy nails is patience which is something I’m sorely lacking . I hope that in a months time I can report back with my own positive results. Please thank your KZread fan for allowing you to share her story with us it was generous of her to put her experience down on paper. Your KZread channel is a font of good / honest information ,I’m very grateful I stumbled upon it. Now it’s up to me to put your advice into action. Thank you.

I now give my nails a nice warm oil soak once a week that plus using my jojoba oil pen during the day I can see a huge improvement in the peeling. My manicure is lasting at least 7 days ,I’m so impressed with the overall changes I’ve made and the outcome so far. I’m still a work in progress but my nails have never looked this good.

So here is a quick summary of what to do and not to do for those who are a little bit lazy :)) DON'T!! -Do your own shellac and/or dip nails -Buff off the nail peelings -Keeping nails as short as possible (keep your natural nails short, but not down-to-the-skin short!) -Constantly apply new coats of protectant or polish. (It can actually be better to not wear any polish at all!) -Use a bunch of different supplm. or topicals too often (look at the ingredients and know what to look for and what to avoid! P.S, same with skin and haircare as well :)) ) DO! :)) -Wear gloves when doing jobs like washing dishes or sanding wood that could lead to water damage or simply break your nails.) -Use supplm. (supplements) that actually have ingredients proven to support nails/hair! -Use oils/serums that have been clinically proven to support nail growth or strength. Habits to stop: Stop buffing/removing peels! it doesn't help anything, and in fact can become the source of the problem! Stop wearing nail polish year-round on natural (or even gels/acrylics) nails. Nail polish should be ministered as a monthly/yearly treat, not a apply-it-whenever-it-chips thing. Stop using strengthened and hardeners unless you know for a fact that you have soft/bendy nails, because if you do not it can be bad for nails. Stop keeping your nails super short! Try to grow them out! Don't let them get super long, but maybe half of an average pinky finger at most. USE JOJOBA OIL AND OTHER NAIL-HELPING NATURAL OILS ON YOUR NAILS RIGOROUSLY! (Use nail oil and hot oil soaks.) File nails, try not to use cutters unless you use them on hangnails. File nails in a back-and-forth motion, not in one direction. LOVE YALL BYEE!!!

I only discovered your channel today and have been binging your videos for hours ❤ Have been doing my own nails for over 25 years but am still learning so much new stuff through your detailed videos. Your gentle approach is so unique and refreshing to see but pretty much impossible to find in any salon. I have regretted every single manicure I ever got (total of maybe 40-50 in my life in various countries). I’ve seen it all: bleeding infected nail beds, uneven or unflattering shapes, filed down nail plates to “even” out etc. It then took weeks/months to get back to normal. Maybe you could do a video on your personal experience and what inspired you to do an approach that is so different than the mainstream. Thank you

Oh my goodness. This email from her was as if I, myself, had written it. All the problems she had, all the things she tried, all the things she was doing incorrectly are ALL the things I have also done. I just found your channel last week and purchased most of the basic nail care items you described. They actually arrive this afternoon and I am committed to taking better care of my nails the RIGHT way and can't wait to begin. As I've been waiting for this order to arrive, I have been applying either nail oil or jojoba oil to my nails every time I wash my hands. I keep a bottle at each of the three sinks in our house so I have no excuses! Just by doing this one step, I am already seeing a bit of improvement. I am inspired to record my journey with photos, as your writer did, and will share on my social media so others can find you and follow as well. I am a crafter as are so many of my followers, and we all seem to struggle with nail problems due to the handling of paper, glues, paints, etc. I hope to be one of your success stories to share with them. Thank you for the great suggestions and tips here. I am now a faithful subbie!

Hi Anna - I have had the same experience. My nails were peeling, brittle. I started pushing back my cuticles and using cuticle oil several times a day (I had covid so it was something to do while I recovered. I also threw out all my nail polish and replaced it with Dazzle Dry (my manicurist has been using it for several years now). I cannot describe the difference. First, I no longer have super dry skin around my nails to pick at. My proximal fold is totally normal. Massive reduction in hang nails. And best of all, my nails are long and lovely. In fact, as I am typing this, I think I will have to file them down a bit so I can type!!! I don’t have before and after photos but take my word for it. An amazing result. Thank you for educating me!

Did you start soaking your nail in oil? Should I get my nails in shape first then use the dazzle dry system? Thanks.

What an incredible story and testament to the validity of your teachings, Anna! Thank you to this young lady for sharing her story. I feel like so very many of us can see similarities in the issues she experienced. My battered nails have fully recovered from a decade of acrylics, except for 3 issues: peeling on both of my pointer fingers, which makes them weak and break, stretched skin stuck to my left thumb for which I have to religiously use Kerasal, otherwise it wants to stick to my nail right away if I skip a few days or so, and lastly, ridgy nails….which I attribute to aging. Otherwise, my nails look pretty flippin’ healthy and nourished, all because of you, Anna ❤❤❤

Wow!!!! Thank you for sharing this story/case. It is truly encouraging. I am in the process of restoring my nails after removing gel manicure of bad quality. Though my nails were affected minimally, I do notice they suffered as a consequence of the gel removal. I will oil, not buff, moisturize skin all around, and oil some more until they are all restored. Great video! :)

I learn something every time I watch your videos, Anna. I've had terrible nails my whole life, and I'm using your recommendations to try to improve them. I never expected I could incorporate the jojoba oil after every handwashing so easily! As you suggested, I have little bottles of oil by all my sinks, and by my chair in the living room. Thank you!

I followed what this video says. Stopped nail paint, used opi repair mode and jojoba oil. Three months later my nails look like hers after years of not being able to grow them and have them peel all the time. Nail paint is an occasional luxury is what I have learnt if I want healthy nails. Thank you for posting this video!

My nails have been a mess recently. Very much like her first pictures. I'm a secretary by day and a cashier at night, so a lot of paperwork and hand washing. I stopped using polish. I've begun using oil frequently, I use Kerasal intense night treatment before bed, stopped using my nippers and I've already seen an improvement. Oil is everything.

This is really encouraging and proof that with loads of TLC you can bring badly damaged nails back to life! I've been applying gel polish to my nails now for over 6 years. I applied full cover gelly tips to my nails back in May/June of this year, they looked lovely, but when I came to remove them after 3 weeks wear, the removal process left my nails in an awful state. My left thumbnail had a vertical split in it right down at the cuticle - I thought my nails would never be the same again! So I decided they would need loads of TLC, I made my own cuticle oil with - guess what - jojoba oil, vitamin E oil and a few drops of rose essential oil - it smells gorgeous. As well as the cuticle oil I also apply BP grade castor oil daily, it strengthens the nails and helps them to grow quickly - I use one of the refillable cuticle oil pens. I keep them short just by filing - not cutting. They are looking really good now and the strongest I've ever known them to be and the vertical split is virtually gone, it's grown right out to the tip of my nail now so a couple more weeks of care and it'll be gone. So many people have left comments saying this KZread video could be talking about their own nails - myself included - so thank you for sharing this with us.

I love this story, these beautiful nails are my goal! For the last month I have been using jojoba oil after every hand wash , Kerasal cream once a day and no nail polish. Warm oil treatment once a week and I also treated myself to a bottle of OPI repair mode (which I really like) and some Cera Ve hand cream. My nails are better for sure and suddenly seem to grow quite fast, probably because they are breaking and peeling a lot less. However, I know I have some way to go yet so I keep them very short and I’ll just persevere. Whenever I need inspiration I watch this video again, I love it and I love your channel, it’s absolutely brilliant. Thank you! 💅🏻💕
