    Thank you so much for this video. You are a wonderful teacher! I already see major improvement in my nails and fingertips, thanks to oil and vitamin e lotion. I just tried Londontown Illuminating nail concealer. Makes even my nails look better. But it chips off of the nail edge in just a few days. Do you know why?

    After a dermatologist prescribed eye drops for fingernail fungal infection, I tried emuaid and oedeo. All failed. The build up has deformed the nails and the debris is thickened. Next, I combined coconut oil,t tree oil,vapo rub, and oregano .it's eased the pain and softened the debris enough to remove some of it but I don't see any significant changes. I've also ground two nails nearly to the cuticle. Thought it was from clay but turned out to be diabetes and now I have to see a podiatrist for help 😢.

    Not sure I’d want to use something that claims to remove yellow staining, that sounds too much like a bleaching process and that seems too harsh for me. I could be wrong and it may not even remove any staining, as we know lots of these tropes of claims are meaningless marketing ploys, but I’m not willing to take that chance. Blue Cross is the only thing I will use, I set a timer for 90 seconds and rinse to remove before I scrape away the softened cuticle. Easy peasy and no adversely reaction to my skin or nails. Some of these chemicals scare me.

    This one has pretty much the same ingredients. Both have potassium hydroxide as the active ingredient (blue cross has it listed as Caustic Potash which is the same thing). Blue Cross has lanolin and this one has Sesame oil. Then some thickeners. That’s it.

    I appreciate the idea of neutralizing the base with an acid but unless you know the exact pH of both of the products that you're using, you're gonna end up with an excess of something. Also, if washing acids or bases off with water wouldn't work, I don't see why they'd recommend it for lab equipment in chem and bio classes. 😂

I’m just learning how to take proper care of my feet and my mom’s… Highly appreciate your explanations regarding the corners because I think I was doing so wrongly 🙈 Maybe this is the reason I felt always uncomfortable in this area and not realizing why!! I’m looking forward to see your own pedicure without electric file. May I ask for your recommendations about tools, like metal file or any other tools-products for elderly feet and nails? I hope my feet nails behave as well as my hand’s nails with your advice!! ❤️😘

    I was a project manager for a major health care company in the US. I learned very quickly how extremely important it is for people to use the exact, same and correct terminology. I quickly got used to politely correcting people that I worked with regarding their terminology because it was the only really effective way to keep everyone on the same page. Ultimately, folks learned the value in using the same terms as their project came to fruition and beyond. Never apologize for correcting people’s terminology, after all you are working toward a common goal. Ok…off my soapbox. Whenever I comment in my Facebook nail groups I use the correct “skin fold” term and hope that if others see it enough, they will learn. Thank You for sharing! 😊

    So good to hear from you! It really bothers me when many dermatologists don't even care about recent research and keep using the vague term "cuticle" and when they are corrected they say "but they know what I mean". No, people clearly don't

    Yesterday I used Orly Cutique for the first time in over a year. I stopped using it because whenever I did use it, it always ended up ruining my PNF. And so, after having really taken care of my nails & skin with lots jojoba oil since last year, I was really proud of myself & picking at the PNF nowhere near as much as I used to & was using just a glass cuticle pusher to take care of the PNF & cuticles. The Cutique yesterday has ended up ruining my skin again! Had to trim so much off to help it & my fingers are sore 😢 I'm so upset! Is it possible that my skin is just too fragile or that I may in fact be allergic to the chemicals in the product?? Is it ok to just stick to using the glass pusher from now on? I look forward to your response Anna ❤xx

    Don't shake the bottle, roll it between your hands or pop the bottle in a warm place for a bit! I put the nail polish in A BAG then in my bra, heat warms it up! UK 🇬🇧 27.7.24

  • @TheSalonLife
    @TheSalonLifeКүн бұрын

    This is gel polish, not a polish. You have to shake it because it's much much thicker than a polish. Also no heating as it makes the solvents evaporate much faster once the bottle is open. The bra trick might be good at home, not in a professional setting LOL ;)

    There so many on the market. I would go with fragrance free and some kind of acid like lactic acid For example this one: amzn.to/3XGWOOh But use whatever you like using and you can use a very small amount. People usually apply way too much and then it feels greasy or sticky.
