    They wore baby hairs in the 70s as well. You could look up old pictures of Latoya Jackson and she always had her edges zigzagged. Idk if it was as popular as in the 90s tho (or today)

    There was a lot of pretty relaxed hair styles in the 90’s but nothing compares to our beautiful natural hair. I do love how cornrows became popular in the 80’s and how box braids became really popular in the 90’s though. I rock cornrows and box braids as a protective style now because of women like Cicely Tyson, Brandy, and Janet Jackson.

    Michael Jackson's hair wasnt natural by the 90s in the 90s his hair done turned straight as hell 😂😂 but it didn't look bad curly or straight

    I thought this was only about hair 😔😔 my depression immediately kicked in seeing and hearing about those deaths. My god. I try to watch how much of this racist war talk stuff I intake cause it weighs heavy on me

    I feel like "protective styling" is an excuse black women use to not actually take care of our hair. If we look at pictures from the 50s and 60s they had healthy hair but it takes effort, just like any other race😔💔
