    If you have not seen Marsha Hunt and ALL her gorgeous hair in Howling II (your sister is a werewolf), I suggest you check it out. That hair stole the entire movie and don't get me started on her wardrobe. Marsha Hunt and Sybil Danning are the she-wolves I aspire to be.

    And this is what white Supremacy has tookin away from many of our black women,with flat liad hair the black woman is excepted better in white society's,and another thing the transatlantic slave trade didn't bring millions to north america,it did bring millions to places like jamica,the cerribean's,south america and the islands of that area,there were only about two or maybe 3 thousand or maybe less that were brought to north america.

    Do you think this brand is ok to use for a Hispanic or is it better for African hair. I’ve mostly seen black peoples use there products with tougher hair, more curly hair and frizzy hair. I’m Hispanic white so my hair is in a mix with mainly curly and a little wavy and straight but for the most it’s a curly hairstyle so even with mainly black people I hear them saying it’s to much protein and I feel like this is gonna effect me even worse but I don’t know I used the product once and I left my hair smelling nice and feeling nice but I don’t know if this is for white people

    As a child in the 90s all my Mother did was perm my hair. I loved this video and seeing the different natural hair styles of the decades. I love how you always shared your journey, it is so important! I started my natural hair journey in 2012! This series was wonderful and educational! Thank you!

    Its really sad what greed can do. It seems like its quantity over quality of ingredients now. It stinks when a succesful black owned business gets bought out. The products just aint the same amymore and im sad to say as SM was my first ever introduction with natural hair products. Now its like it just sits in my hair. The quality ingredients just are substituted and watered down with cheap fillers. I will only buy black owned hair care from now on. 🎉

    Artist are the ones who set the tone for what is happening in society overall. We listen and hear music daily whether it's radio, Tv, adds, streaming etc. What is the quality & value of your art, music or message? That is the root issue. Too much disposable nonsense. That's why the respect from the community is not there. It begins with #1

    I love the natural hair. I had to use perm rods, but I rocked my ‘fro supporting the cause in the “D” in the 70s. So much necessary change! As a teacher, especially in TN, I had many talks with moms about their Littles, (my student’s), ‘dos. They had to educate me about their need to braid, band and clip their girls’ hair into these amazing styles…to fit in. I was “pro fro”mainly cuz my Little Divas/GQs would get so stressed if they lost beads, barrettes, etc., specially after outdoor PE. (and there were those tims my necklaces/earrings got caught in a braid during a Braille lesson 👀 and I had to get help from the office. I was so afraid I was hurting them). That’s when I learned the term “tender-headed). So, I made sure I had hair supplies in my classroom available to my Littles (boys AND girls) mfrom then on. I love your content. Thank you for sharing. We have so much to learn. 🙌🏻 #40YrsSpEd #GrievingMom

    Mielle is no longer Black owned either. This is becoming a trend. I don’t begrudge someone their coins, Shea Moisture truly shot themselves in the foot with that commercial and changing their formula too often. The thing is, SM hopped into an even larger pool of competitors. Not smart. They should have gone down the road of creating a different line of products like Pantene did.

    I remember when they only sold Lotion, shampoo, and liquid black soap back in 1999. The Lotion made the entire brand successful. We would sell out as quickly as we stocked it for months....truly a great product back then.

    No longer buy them. I'm sick & tired when black businesses request that we patronise. The moment they get some change, the sell out to capital ventures that start to exploit black people with the same products that we run from. They change the content of the product to the salt& sulphate that stripe our hair. Black business owners should be ashamed when they sell out due to money being flashed. Hope the original owners are enjoying their proceeds on some idyllic space drinking some tropical beverage. Now Unilever owns SheaMoisture....Rest in peace SheaMoisture in my line of hair product.

  • @NappyChronicles
    @NappyChronicles2 жыл бұрын

    They sold their line. Not sure why anyone would want to save a sell out (sorry not sorry). Unilever changing SheaMoisture ingredients everytime I purchase a new bottle. I have two bottles I purchased recently and it's a big change in the ingredients (I must have got lucky and found an old formula still on the shelf). My hair is currently breaking off thanks to the new formula. Yes we was lucky to experience high quality natural products in the early 2000s that seems to no longer exist.

    I feel like it also has to do with the lack of individuality. I stopped listening to music completely because I am tired of hearing and seeing the same things over and over again. With social media it will never truly be 100% about the music anymore its about If shes pretty, whats her relationship etc. Alot of people now lack the ability to have their own thoughts so they look around at what everyone else is doing. Thats how people become copy and paste of each other. Very few people are open to unique artist untill they become a trend.

    Their REFORMULATION sucks: I’m a male. Been using the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner for a while now. In my last purchase recently: I noticed that the shampoo does not have that natural, rich, awesome smelling, white and creamy consistency anymore. They’ve changed it to a shiny, clearer and watered-down formula that really feels like any other shampoo out there. But the worst thing is: IT’S MAKING MY SCALP ITCH LIKE CRAZY. The original formula was the complete opposite: it used to be so invigorating and moisturizing. They have failed to realize that they’re actually dealing with chemicals here. That those ingredients actually affect people’s pH balancing and levels. They think it’s a game that will go un-noticed. I’M GOING TO RETURN THE ITEM: and I will not buy it again if they don’t change it.

    I have so much reverence and respect for a lot of our older black artists which is why I’m not all the way super satisfied by what the newer girls are doing now. However I’m trying to be easier on the younger girls because they need time and it’s just a shame that they’re figuring it all out in front of the world.

    Yeah the fact that there are so many talented black women that don't get the shine they deserve because they are dark skin or seen as sexually undesirable is depressing like Tkay Maidza, Tierra Whack, Little Simz, Bree Runway and even Chloe x Halle before Chloe went solo. Black women deserve to be multidimensional and still be successful.

    I just bought some product because of my curly hair having problems, I'm just trying a little something new but years ago I had heard it was (the company) sold to a mormon. Who ran against Obama in the election the 1st time. I will not mention his name here. So I was never interested in buying the products after seeing, she had sold to a Caucasian guy. But after seeing this video I wish I wouldn't have even bought the current product that I have. It's crazy to think she sold to a Caucasian. Where his religion teaches black hate, that black people is a curse. I was born into Mormonism but my mom had no idea what they were teaching. I am a woman of color and I can remember when they taught that black skin was a curse I was humiliated in front of everyone in my class. This is sadly their core belief I was a young girl very young taught this but thankfully now I know the truth!

    Omg I love Alicia keys, im a huge fan. Her songs in a minor cd was the first Cd I ever got as a little girl. Her skincare line is honestly so underrated and her recent athletic collab with athleta was full of cute pieces. Like even aside from music she has so many great projects, and I so agree that she doesn’t get her flowers. Not only is she a legend but she is very supportive of other women. I also have a lot of respect for her for deciding to stop wearing makeup. Im sure she has an amazing cosmetic esthetician but I remember the backlash she got and she handled it so well. I started playing piano at a really young age and she is who inspired me to start. Great video. The black community only allows a small number of women to age in the industry and still command respect and support.
