"Natural Chemicals" (Don Bluth University Final Short)
Фильм және анимация
This is my final project for my year-long course at Don Bluth University. Our task was to take everything we learned in 40 weeks and put it all to the test in our own original, animated short in 10 weeks!
This course was life-changing and I'm grateful for the knowledge that I've learned and the friends that I've made in this class.
I want to take this moment to thank my family and friends for being supportive. I also want to thank my grandmother for pushing me to apply in the first place, even when I was convinced that I wouldn't be accepted. And thank you to Don for teaching me, advising me, and encouraging me to work hard and become the best animator that I can be.
- Score made by Tom, my musicianal friend

Thank you! I'm excited to see what you do for yours!
Wonderful!! The fluidity of the expressions! *chef's kiss* His crestfallen expression when the plant dies is especially good. You're gonna go far, I know it. You really are amazing!
Awesome, keep 2d alive!
This looks amazing! I could never do something like this. Good luck!
very well excited. Kept my attention the whole time. can't wait to see it in color
I really want to attend DBU someday. I’d appreciate it if you told me more about your experience there. Is there a way to contact you on social media?
I genuinely liked this. Great job!
I love the concept!
Amazing work!
First off I rrrrrly love how this came out you’ve done an awesome job! 😃 I’ve been pondering on taking this course for a while now this is very convincing and I may go for it! Hopefully the lessons aren’t too too difficult to grasp online. 😅
Nice work!

Thank you!
That's really cool, and neat Bluth is still teaching, what programs do you guys use now for the pencil test?

We mostly got freedom of choice- but Flipbook was recommended for rendering our animations! I personally used Clip Studio Pro, since I already owned it and it offered animation support! Any program that allows you to pan, compile, and crop your frames should be good!
Do you feel as though attending the course was worth what you paid for it?

Oh for sure! I learned a lot and the fact that it was Don Bluth who did it personally definitely made it worth it.
Who is this character?

@@EverboughART CAN YOU TELL ME MORE?

@@caren2942 I can try! Bryo, or Bryosidan (BRYE-OH-SIH-DAWN) lives in a tree stump home on the outskirts of the village (due to his tendency to have explosive experiments). He’s the apprentice of the Elder Healer and is planning to inherit that title, but his real passion is in chemical science and creating more than just medicine. He has a pet harvest mouse that’s about the size of a cat to him named Wisp. He can impulsive but is ultimately well-meaning. If there’s a shortcut to get the same result, he’ll jump for it- all he wants is to make life easier for his fellow elves. He’s a recluse and keeps to himself most of the time, but is friendly and polite. Bryo is one character in the world of “Everboughs”, which is the name I’ve given to the overarching story.

@@EverboughARTThis character imo deserves his own feature film. Why don’t you take what you made with this and help it grow? This is is the same quality as Disney Renaissance films!

Thank you, Nicholas! I am actually currently trying to work on a novel where he's the protagonist. I really appreciate that!@@NicholasVetter-sy8io
