DIO is proud to support Ex Steadfast Defender, NATO’s largest exercise in decades. Our Defence Training Estate team manage the diverse training areas that military personnel like B Company 4SCOTS use to ensure their skills and training is up to date. This supports their preparation to deploy on NATO Exercises like Steadfast Defender. Section Commander Cpl Sheppard highlights how DIO’s work supports 4SCOTS.
Ex Steadfast Defender is a 5-month long exercise, which coincides with the NATO Alliance’s 75th year anniversary. It started in January this year and involves over 90,000 military personnel from all 32 NATO Allies and demonstrates NATO’s ability to defend every inch of its territory and the NATO Allies’ commitment to protect each other from any threat.
