Not keen on the KK implemention of Analog Lab Pro - prefer to use it on its own and midi map the controls to the hardware you have if you don't have an Arturia Keyboard. The M32 is great for a portable take anywhere keyboard although it is a little cramped on the keybed for big mits. Love the Kontakt Libraries and they have some great soundscaping instruments, would be nice to have UI updates for Monark and Reactor just for scaling on 4K screens, Battery too. Tempted to get Collector edition upgrade to get me some more of the Cremona Quartet and some other nuggets.👍

It seems that the M32 has shite velocity sensitivity. Do a search for "Native Instruments M32 velocity sensitivity" and you will be educated about its flaws.

Got the Ultimate for 699 from Sweetwater (discount because I grabbed the No S88 Mk3 keyboard as well) with my rep Max and their whole team is stating that the Ultimate is a top seller and is the best value for the “kitchen sink “of Plugins and will keep you busy for years to come with 84,000 sounds with score abilities and orchestral sounds. The Collectors Edition is the “kitchen sink “ and then some. Your Milage may very, there is also Komplete 15 on the horizon …. Hope this helps anyone on the fence.

@@cirisirpula152 It’s hard not think they have abandoned it. There has been no investment in new features for a few years now. Basic maintenance to keep the software up to date with computer operating systems has been very slow compared to competitors. Updates are limited to a few bug fixes and a change of logo. The last update is just fixing the bugs introduced by the previous update. There have been no new instruments added to run natively on Maschine+ for years. The new Komplete keyboards no longer support Maschine, which is frankly bizarre seeing how AKAI has successfully extended the market for its MPC platform with the MPC Key 61 and 32. All these signs point to the conclusion that NI is no longer interested in Maschine, apart from occasionally launching new extensions. That’s of course very lucrative because they are dead cheap to produce, but NI will not be able to maintain the market share of Maschine against the likes of MPC and Ableton because those 2 are constantly innovating and offering new value. I love Maschine’s workflow, but i have to now accept that it is a legacy platform, not something for the future…

Native Instruments should go back to their roots! Bring Absynth back make a new Reaktor make updates for the hardware the list goes on! Instead they drop another Kontakt library 😅

Hey, since you asked a great question, let me not make you wait for a video. I'll do my best to explain here. 1. Komplete is a brand name Native Instruments uses to describe different products. Basically its an ecosystem of hardware and software. You have the Komplete Kontrol software that gives you an access point for all the sounds NI sells. Then you have the Komplete Kontrol midi keyboards like the M32, S49, and S88 that give you hands-on control of the software. So connect the keyboard to your computer, load up the KK software and you can browse sounds and play them on your keyboard. Now where do these sounds come from? ... 2. Komplete software bundles like Komplete Standard, Ultimate, etc., are suites of software (aka plugins) that contain sounds. These are sounds stored on your computer. Load up Komplete Kontrol software, and it looks for any Komplete bundles you have and lets you browse and play sounds from those bundles. NI also bundles some effects plugins with their Komplete collections. 3. Kontakt is a software plugin that lets you load NI's "sampled" libraries of instruments. Think of is as a wrapper-plugin that holds different instruments. When you purchase a Komplete bundle or individual instruments from NI, you load many of them into Kontakt. Kontakt is an alternate way to load and play sounds to Komplete Kontrol. The nice thing about Kontakt is other companies can create instruments for it. So Output has instruments that run in Kontakt. And there are lots of free instruments you can download for it. 4. Reaktor is similar to Kontakt above, but it allows for easy modular-style instrument/effects creation. So you can build your own instruments or effects...or just download stuff other people have created. 5. Maschine hardware is a tool for creating and performing beats - or full productions - and it really encourages hands-on beat performance. Look up "Datsunn" on IG or YT, and you'll see a great example of what can be done. Maschine uses NI software of the same name that allows you to easily work between computer and Maschine hardware. Maschine has its own unique workflow - its kind of like a DAW, but designed for beatmaking. Getting into Maschine generally requires you to really dedicate some time to that new workflow. Its super fun, though. Once you've learned the basics, you can be like Datsunn! :-) Hope this helps a bit, until I make a video!

No update on Komplete 15, but it's pretty safe to assume it will be out this fall.

Waiting for 15 with all the recent new additions to the NI library and then maybe a sale. Not worth it right now to upgrade except MAYBE some expansions. Upgrading from 13 ultimate to 14 standard was an actual upgrade and put things in a strange place.

I upgraded last year. I upgrade every 3-5 years. Gotta say I liked what I got last year and did use it a bunch. The newest stuff sounds great…but seems a bit same-y after a bit of use…

Perhaps you figured out already but yes. The question then is whether you upgrade now (spending $200) and then spend another $200 to upgrade from 14 to 15 in about a year at least (waiting for another discount) or just wait a little now and upgrade from 13 to 15 right away when Komplete 15 is out.

Moving on from Native Instruments. No more money from me. Hope it was worth eliminating midi templates from the Kontrol MK3 and not disclosing it at launch. Last purchase I ever make from NI.

Wow, those instruments load so fast in your Komplete Kontrol app. Mine takes 5-10 seconds or longer. Time to upgrade my PC I guess...

If someone shows how well it works with an novation 49sl mk3 controller than I whould get ineterested.

I like to preview presets/sounds with chords. To do that I have to load the sound in Komplete Kontrol, doing so will take me out of the browser view every time I want to preview a sound with chords. Is there a fix/work around for this?

I have K10 Ultimate and it's $200 to update to 14 Ultimate and that's realllly tempting still lol. Just got a KK A25 for $60 on ebay and I think I still have a little lingering G.A.S. ;)

I think its bs that if you buy komplete on black friday, you dont get any of the new content during the year that they release where when summer sales come out there is a ton of new content out. Its bs to me. If you buy komplete 14 you should be getting everything that is included with it that is released during the year.
