Nasturtiums in all their glory, so beautiful, Liz. They found their perfect spot - love that! I bet it is a jewel nasturtium:) which is one of my favorites but I do try both heirloom and brand new varieties each year. I think I treated mine all wrong no wonder they were never that happy. Seeing yours reminded me of Monet's garden in France they let them spill over onto the walkway exactly like that. My nasturtiums did not come up this year because the entire large window box got knocked down after I seeded it. I have only one surprise survivor and like you, I have no idea which one made it, we'll see. Always a delight to peek into your garden.

Thank you Liz for sharing the beauty & tranquility of your garden. Here in the land down under I’m enjoying the Autumn season in my garden. Will share its beauty shortly. Anytime is a good time to be in a garden, whether it be Summer, Autumn, Winter or Spring. Your Nasturtium is lovely. My nasturtiums grow underneath shady Manchurian Pears. Hardly any sun. Like you say let them grow whenever they like to grow. They self seed there every year and get bigger and bigger. So I leave them be to do their thing. I too love them too, even use their flowers in salads too. 😊🌻

I love nasturtiums!! Yours are beautiful! I tried growing them here in Sc but they didn't make it. I had them growing in a pot but they got moldy I think, it's been a few years ago now. They are all over the west of Ireland along with gorgeous hydrangeas. 🙂

Just lovely. I failed with nasturtiums last year. They just did not want to grow for me, but I think the spot was too shady. Try, try again. I think I have the perfect spot up by the road, talk about poor soil, it is the poorest!

Good morning flowerpatchfarmhouse. I know exactly what you mean about trying with Nasturtium and failing. Every year I always plant seeds and it never grows, or it comes up but then doesn’t do too much. This year I said forget it I’m done trying and then this happened. I get a huge plant. I guess it’s just God‘s way of telling us that He is still in control. LOL I hope you have better luck this year in your poor soil. Haha and thank you for taking the time to visit me. ❤️👍🥰Liz

Oh wow, you live in Modesto I live in Oakdale. We are practically neighbors. When growing nasturtium it’s very important that you plant them in the cool weather. They do not like summer heat. So I’m thinking are you planting the seeds too late in the season? I have very sandy soil here in Oakdale so maybe they prefer the Sandy soil.
