Hello! I'm glad you stopped to say, "Hi" at the convention. This year's convention was a blast and Michael and I had a great time. Horseshoe Curve on the way home was also a highlight. A video is in the works and will be uploaded in a few weeks. I hope you found some deals at the train show for your own railroad. Take care, Tony

Thank you! I wish they did a Convention Car at every convention like that. Unfortunately, it is hit & miss I have one from Nashville 2022 and now Bethlehem 2024. ~Tony

Fantastic highlights Tony! Thanks for you including your subscribers in your tours. Being an old short track stock car guy, I loved the dirt track scene on the one layout. That was spot on modeling. Take care Scott

Really upset I wasn't able to make it this year, especially for the room sales. I landed some great deals in Nashville. Great layouts! Impressive coal train at the 19:05 mark, I think I counted 56 coal cars? Definitely looking forward to Kansas City, only a few hours from St. Louis!

Yes, the room sales this year were great. There were two room sales that I'm glad I went to early on during the convention, as when I went back two hobby shops had bought the entire room contents. At this point, I hope to attend Kansas City as well as it is about 6 hours away for me, ~Tony

The Lehigh & Keystone Valley layout was something else. Highly detailed and ran great. I barely saw all of the layout in the hour they gave us. Your LV car float was an outstanding model. Great job! ~Tony

I could not imagine an entire tour busload of people showing up to my house for a layout tour.

Many times home layouts where space is an issue only 6 people can go in at a time and rotate in and out. That would be the case at my layout as well if a busload ever showed up. ~Tony

What are the dates for the KC convention I see June 24 to June 29. I think that fits between school for the kids. I would hope to save up some money and maybe go. Funny thing is, If I was still working at intel I would not have a money problem, but getting time off would be an issue. Now I'm just a stay at home dad for my kids. I have to watch the money with both eyes. but I have more time than I know what to do with some times :) :) :) Well that is not true, I do spend a lot of time in the Minivan driving the kids to and from school etc. last year I averaged around a hour and a half just in the mini van every day.

From what our table discussed at the "Welcoming Reception" during the convention. June 24th is a Tuesday which is the "Extra Fair Day." There is often an event that day that may or may not be railroad-related. The actual first day of the convention would be Wednesday, June 25th, and run through June 29th. In the past conventions, Wednesdays are layout tours, registration, and welcoming reception. Thursday is a scheduled tour of some type with live auction in the evening. Friday is the train show and clinics with an evening event usually planned. Saturday is the manufacturer's breakfast, train show, clinics, and in the evening is the banquet dinner. I certainly understand saving for the convention as they are costly for this elementary school teacher. I try to put a little money aside each month leading up to the convention. Registration usually opens in January. ~Tony
