I wish that Discovery would release all the Mythbuster episodes that are not currently out on a new set of DVDs. Ultimate Mythbuster, Mythbuster vs Jaws, Car Drop, Boarding a Plane, etc etc.

Love these kinds of beaches, Last summer I went to Philippines and on some of the virgin islands you will find exactly similar clean and clear water where you can snorkel and play with little fishes.. so much fun..

why did they go to the bahamas? clear water but only small sharks... why didn't they stay in San Francisco where there are big sharks, lots of seals but no visibility. So maybe it should be called Hollywood MythsBusters...

since I did listen to the expert when he refered to Nurse sharks which eat hard shelled creatures and therfore have a strong bite and then they tested it on fish eating sharks. Maybe you should have watched it more carefully.

They should have looked into what real biologists had already used to measure bite strength

I think the needed to recalabrate the prussure becasue they had it at 20psi at a time... but the sharks read nothing... that might be a good rig in theroy but they need to re-make the rig so it can acctuly read something.... make 200psi = 20 psi... 100 psi = 10 and 50 psi = 5.... its a little odd but you should get it.

there were hundreds od tests with hundreds of different results. a mathematical calculation had 3000 kg per cm² for great whites as result. A test with a piece of plastic (which did not include the force F=m*a) had the result that the bite of a great white sharks is weaker than a human's (something i can't really believe)

Seems like if they really wanted to know they could just apply electrodes to a shark's jaws and force it to bite and see how much force it makes.
