Then why is He (God in human form) not called Melchezidek in Gen 18? Abraham could easily call Him Melchezidek again, but Abraham does not call Him that...

So in the early 2000’s the neighborhood church brought in a new pastor after several others had came and went the previous years. Two resigned after extramarital affairs with the church secretary and minister of music’s wife. Hardly anyone left though, but that would soon change. Turned out the “new” pastor was a “Calvinist” - according to the church elders-which 95% of the congregation had no idea what that even was. After several months he started a series of Sunday sermons on Melchizedek. His final sermon about needing “milk before meat” was a jab at the elders and when he left, half the members went with him and started another church- which didn’t last 2 years.

Option 4- Using the Chronology of the LXX, a time span between Eber (tower of Babel, whom the Hebrews are named after) and Abraham opens up. In this time-span in Genesis we have two sons of Eber; Peleg and Joktan. Peleg leads to Abraham. Joktan leads to Jobab. If this Jobab= Job then we have a candidate for Melchizedek. No Genealogy is translated by some as "no Pedigree". The Aaronic priests had a pedigree, a genealogy inherited from Aaron. Job is shown as acting as a priest on behalf of his family, and later his friends. Job didnt inherit a priesthood from anybody. After his trial, word of mouth would spread that this guy is in Gods good-books. Shem would definitely have a pedigree from Noah if you went with the Masoretic.

Dear minister the tenth/tithe reference in the book of Hebrew is in regards to the order of the Priesthood....it had nothing to do with the law of tithing as how it was required in the old testament for the nation of Israel. Tithing was part of the old covenant that Elohim made with the nation of Isreal and it was never money. We don't tithe under the new covenant

If jesus is god, why he needed to be a whomb the he created ? And if he jesus is god, why he prayed to god?

Shem lived for 502 years after the flood. He died 12 or 13 years AFTER Sarah died, 2989 B.C. Abraham dies 25 after Shem died. Abraham was 150 years old when Shem died. This is from our chronology. And we have put over 50 years of study and research into it. Much of our study came from the book Jasher, although not a biblical text, a historical text it can be used as.

Relying on the Septuagint Text and The Book of Jubilees, Shem died 'well before' Abram's encounter with "Jesus Christ in Human Form" (aka Melchizedek). It's "irrelevant" at any point, since we are validating the Identity of Melchizedek...13 good reasons this Identity is sound: 1 The name Melchizedek is really a title which means “King of righteousness” 2 Melchizedek is the King of Salem which is to say the King of Peace 3 Melchizedek has no mother nor father nor descendants 4 Melchizedek has no beginning of days, nor end of life (this means He is immortal) 5 Melchizedek is made like unto the Son of God 6 Melchizedek abides a priest continually and Jesus has a priesthood that is said to be unchangeable 7 Melchizedek’s priesthood is said to result in perfection 8 Melchizedek was without sin 9 Melchizedek was a heavenly high priest; not an earthly one 10 It is witnessed that Melchizedek lives forever 11 Melchizedek is said to have no descent and is yet a descendant. 12 He [i.e. Melchizedek] of whom these things are spoken…is our Lord who sprang out of Judah 13 Melchizedek is an eternal Being who receives tithes from Heaven Might Yahuah and Yahusha Protect and Preserve Us during these Evil and Troubling Times!

@@jaykent1836 "corrupted" Masoretic texts. Based on Romanism, yes. I'll stick with the non-Roman text that came from the region of the world, namely Turkey, that Paul wrote and preached too. I know, Paul is not that relevant in Roman Catholicism. But I believe that he is. Rome destroyed the bible. They will pay the price.

Melchizedek is a Being that God brought forth into creation at His will, Mel has many names. He is the Lord's Morningstar and points to Christ, as Christ is 1st in the Order of Melchizedek. Some may know him as the restrainer, or the manchild of Revelation 12, or Mordecai from Esther who replaces Haman or Satan, or Michael the archangel. All that Mel asks is you follow Christ and don't worship him, because no one is worthy like his brother Christ, The Almighty Father, or the Holy Spirit of Wisdom. - Love in Christ, the follower, Mordecai of Aldebaran, who cherishes the Seven sisters of Isaiah 4:1, the Seven Maidens preparing Esther, the Seven Stars to Seven Churches.

If he was Shem, why do they call him Melchizedek

Genesis 26:5 KJV Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. The anti-christ the Papacy Dan 8:10-12 ( sacrifice not in original) message the truth of the temple in heaven of which the Old Covenant was a shadow Col 2:14-17. Rev 11:19 shows temple in heaven wherein is the ark of the Covenant where God sits above the mercy seat between the two Cherubims Psalms 99:1, 10 Commandments within the ark. Where did Moses Ex 25:8 get that information? From sanctuary in heaven Heb 8:1,2, 9:12,24 where Christ entered holy place after making an atonement once for sin. The 10 Commandments is the foundation of God's government. As scripture says; Abraham kept it. If he did not, he would have been an unrighteous man. Psalm 119:172 KJV My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness. 1 John 3:4 KJV Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

So let me explain your error… Melchizedek isn’t described as “timeless” or “eternal”. That’s a poor understanding of what the author is saying. Hebrews 7 is contrasting Melchizedek and Jesus to the Levites. The Levites, as you stated, receive the priesthood by birthright or lineage. This lineage depends on mother/father. The line is recorded, as a matter of record. See 1 Chronicles 6 for an example of this. Melchizedek didn’t inherit his position from his parents or family line. His lineage wasn’t recorded, or even relevant. He was priest by appointment and because of his righteousness. Same with Jesus, but his lineage was recorded… to show his birthright as king, not priest. And to show prophecy fulfilled. Hebrews 7 has nothing to do with how long Melchizedek lived… only that he wasn’t a priest like the Levites. As was the case with Jesus.

My friend, actually, Melchizedek really refers to the Christ mind or superconsciousness, that which when ruling in man's consciousness establishes and maintains right doing, perfect adjustment, peace, and perfection. He is within everyone whether they know him or not. Peace

He was a man & a priest to God. He wasn’t like the levites to come, which inherit as their birthright the priesthood… but rather a priest by choice and appointing. Exactly like Jesus, who wasn’t a Levite… and had no birthright to be a priest, but was by choice and appointment.

Melchisedec is a proper title not a proper name. The man Melchisedec in the OT is a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was not a theophany of Jesus Christ but was a representation of Jesus Christ. King David in the Tabernacle of Moses eating the shewbread which Jesus said was only lawful for the priests is a clue that King David was also a Melchisedec. King David wore the garment of the priests and made intercession in the Tabernacle. King David erected his own tabernacle or dwelling place for God... which is the only tabernacle that God said He would rebuild.
