I no longer look for new games. I only upgrade for my favorite games to run better. Or I just buy older games that were finished, polished and have aged well. I don't have to bet on games with my hard earned money.

Dmc V and mgs V ran perfectly and smoothly on my GT 710, But witcher 3 old gen couldn't even get 10 fps despite mgs having better graphics. *"Blame it on poor optimization not on your hardware you are paying those companies to receive a well optimised product too"*

Don't use next gen witcher 3 (or if you really want to use it, don't use dx12 mode), just get original 1.32 version, don't know what the hell they've done with it, i used to run it on radeon hd 6410 (for reference your card is 180% faster) at 20-30 fps on 1024x768 low back then, still had my ancient PC around and it didn't look good when i tested the nextgen version

It's a blessing in disguise; your weak GPU will filter out the unoptimised AAA junk that's not worth playing anyways.

gpu is usually fine, since u can always just lower resolution or use upscaling. but if cpu isnt enough, you cant do shit :C

For me, it was Rayman: Raving Rabbids. That was such a fun game.

If VRAM is the problem even at lowest graphics settings then there's not much to do, but if it is fps due to insufficient raw power, now that we have the mod Lossless Scaling beign able to multiply our fps counter by 3x there's a lot of people that can keep their old gpu AND CPU and still play recent games at max monitor hz, myself included. In my case with a i7 3770k and RTX 2060 is actually the cpu that can't keep 60fps in these new games, but now with this mod I limit the fps to 40 which my cpu can reach and it multiplies them by 3 reaching 120fps that are what my monitor have. It won't work well if the x3 factor isn't enough to get you to your max monitor hz though.
