MY VERSION OF THE ANTHROPOLOGIE ENCHANTMENT DRESSER | DIY Thrifted Dresser
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

It’s totally outside of my usual design preferences and I’ve never created anything like it but I had to give it a try. With some ReDesign with Prima moulds, a little paper clay and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, I created my own version of this dreamy dresser on a cute French Provincial piece. Don’t forget to check out this video by Debi’s Design Diary! She created her own gorgeous version of this dresser last year: • Anthropologie Dupe Thr...

It is a departure from what you usually do, but you did it beautifully! I love your interpretation of it as you've kept it simple.

Thanks so much! ❤️
I really prefer this lightly decorated project to your inspiration piece. Just a kiss of whimsy is all it needed, it's so pretty. Nicely done Katie.

I absolutely agree :)!!! The original one felt bulky and overwhelming. Hers is perfect for me!!
I love you reusing your roller and the brush in Ziploc bags. Great tip.
This is more my style! Thank you🙏 I put my paint brushes in a baggies too! Sometimes I forget to put it in the fridge and it seems to still last! I use it on my regular brushes too in between washings! Thank you for sharing! I need to use these clay molds!

She is an artist!! She can do anything she wants, if she wants too!! ( my beautiful sister is an artist as well, so this I know for sure!!)
I am speechless!!! Literally my mouth was agape the entire video!! I have no experience with clay, sculpting or art for that matter but you’ve inspired this 53 yo to try something like this. Thank you so much for your creativity and inspirational video!!! BRAVO!!

That’s incredible! Get those hands messy ❤️
This work recalls me the Art Deco wooden pieces with their designs based on plants and blossons . You are very talented and has given a magnificent second floral life to this gorgeous dresser.

Art Nouveau is with florals, plants... Art Déco is characterized by sleek geometric or stylized forms
Katie Scott.....you rock!!!!!!!! Marvelous..
I’m so glad you’re reusing your roller. I love your work so much and now you’ve given me an alternative to throwing things out after a single use 🙂
This was my most favorite video you've done. Sooooooo cool. Are you going to keep this one? Its just absolutely gorgeous and I bet it was such an artistically satisfying project to do. Chicken soup for thr furniture flipping soul.

I think I am going to keep it...for a litter shoe anyways 😉 it was definitely therapeutic ❤️
Yours is my personal favorite version of this dresser. Oh, they’re all beautiful! But yours is the perfect balance of “not too much, not too sparse” that I love. Great job!
This is absolutely one of my favorite projects you have done! I have been thinking about trying this on a project! Such inspiration! Thank you for sharing this!
Hi Katie! Glad to have found a Canadian furniture refinished. Its funny I just bought a few mounds the other day as I want to try this out. I'm going to practice on a picture frame first. Thanks for the inspiration!
I prefer your version of the piece! Thank you for the inspiration!
Wow...it is a romantic fantasy! A garden that doesn't die. Thank you for this lesson.🌹

I definitely will be giving this a shot myself. Possibly the most beautiful and elegant painted dresser I have ever seen.
Graceful & alluring.... It draws your attention .... Masterful artist you are , dear Katie !
I love it so much. I think is beautiful and I love that U show Us how to get a little of what We desire without spending money I don't have .Thank U and it's gorgeous .
Home Run with fire works!!! Totally Awesome. Beautifully done
I love this process! Thank you for the tutorial!
OMG Katie you are a miracle worker, i absolutely love it!!! I have to try this on a small scale first, then I will bite the bullet! Thank you for sharing all your talent!
Oh my gosh, this is just beautiful!!!! In a houseful of boys, I don’t think about doing pretty details like this, but wow! I’m totally doing this on my dresser in my bedroom!! Just gorgeous, feminine and stunning! And thx for the tip about the sealer in a spray can! I don’t have a sprayer so I was wondering how to seal!

Lol, I’m stuck in a boy filled house too. I need to get my “girl” fix every now and then 😉
I am proud of your trying a new way of doing a piece you liked. Thank you for researching the making of the molding appliqués
Beautiful! This project shows your versatility.
I love your molded pieces. So much easier to work with than the acrylic ones. This is beautiful!
Thanks for mentioning me❤️ love your interpretation of this , beautiful work ♥️♥️♥️♥️
This is so very pretty! Extra bonus you gave me: putting the BIN paint roller in the fridge! I have always tossed them - or tried to figure out ways not to use BIN. That never goes well😂 Thank you for inviting us along on your journey.
This is awesome!! it looks just like Anthropologie!!! you are such a talent my friend
Very attractive piece. 💥💥💥💥I’d say this is a modern interpretation, too. The tone on tone takes the floral embellishment down a couple of notches, and now it’s about the whole piece and not the gilded or painted (traditionally) floral relief.
Phenomenal job so, so, so good. Gorgeous textured and layered work. So inspiring!!
It honestly looks waaay better than the original one. Love this piece!

Lovely! Who wouldn’t be proud to have this in their home? Really lovely!
You are extremely talented. Thank you for the inspiration. You make it look possible to do the impossible
I totally love what you did with the dresser. So beautiful.
Just beautiful! It looks like a lacy wedding dress.
What a great project! Not for the faint of heart! This was dreamy and beautiful!
Not only did you do a FANTASTIC job, but I like the fact that you gave details of the process. Like... - Making sure the dresser is glued & repaired before you start. - Using cornstarch for mold release.. - Using alternative tools for the same results (sprayer or hand or spray cans ) etc... Hardly anyone gives important details like that anymore! :)
You are very talented! It is stunning!! I'd buy it in an instant!! Top shelf lady!
This is gorgeous! I’ve seen a few other dupes on KZread of the same Anthropologie dresser and your interpretation is truly the best. Thank you
That was very tastefully done. Some people wouldve overdone it and it wouldve been easily turned into something gaudy. But you did a beautiful job, I absolutely love it.
Stunning. So beautiful.
That turned out really really nice. Watching you do this and the way your voice sounds over your work, gave it a meditation feel. This was good for me and my coffee this morning. Thank you Katie
I actually prefer your less is more approach. You chose just the right amount of decor. Beautiful work.
That dresser turned out so gorgeous. You did such a fantastic job. I loved the romantic feel of that piece. Loved the color, loved it all. Great job! You took that piece to another level, which set your piece apart from the ordinary.
This is the most gorgeous piece I have ever seen
Yes, I also watched Debbi do hers. Your approach turned out so lovely. And you made it seem like we could do it too. And isn't that the point? Wonderful inspiration. Sincere thanks.
Wow. Just beautiful!!!
Just beautiful. So...so beautiful.
Beautiful beautiful nothing but beautiful!
Soooo beautiful and I love the contrast of the black hardware!
This dresser is magical 💗💗💗
Wow, wow! It's just lovely, thanks for sharing! ❤☮🙋♀️🇨🇦
I love the dresser. It came out beautifully. I also really love that song!
This is, by far, the most gorgeous piece I have ever seen!
I absolutely love this piece !! I too have wanted to do an anthropology piece but haven't found the exact piece to do. This is a time consuming job but it turned out beautiful !! Thanks for another great and informative video !!
2:19 I used to use this... but could NOT handle the smell... I had a Furniture Refinishing Show back in the 70s... did mostly Antiques... but now I "Flip" RVs... (on my 25th one).. I found that if I use Walmart Exterior House Paint (for indoor or out door) and on wood... EVERYTHING... that is is a great primer!!!! I have used it for over 30 years (just bought 3 more gallons today)... It is amazing... Seriously... that is all I ever use... I make money on it!!!

BIN is stinky but it’s the only primer that I trust to block wood tannins from bleeding through. Walmart doesn’t sell paint here 🤷🏻♀️

@@salvagedbykscott The Walmart Exterior Paint will do the same thing... I have even covered BLACK paint before... but I respect your decision on your choice... When I had my Furniture Stripping and Refinishing Shop I used that too... Your work is Beautiful... Thank you again for sharing your great videos.
Looks amazing Katie!! You certainly took the inspiration piece and took it over the moon! Well Done!

I just did a dresser very similar to this... the lazy part of me took over...I sanded it to the bare wood, poly matte, changed to a champagne gold modern hardware... called it a day...it now sits in my sewing room/guest room
