    Your journal collections are absolutely delightful! Ever since I started using Neorah's journals, I've developed a fondness for journaling. The designs and quality of their journals are truly admirable. I've been consistently using their products since 2021, and my journaling experience has been consistently wonderful. I encourage you to give them a try - you're sure to appreciate their journals as much as I do.

    I love the form factor of the pocket sized Moleskine, but the equivalent notebook from Rhodia has Clairefontaine paper that is simply sensational for most fountain pens.

    Nice collection there. I too love my Leuchtturm 1917 but like the practicality of a Moleskine Pocket.

    I keep coming back to the Rhodia A5 Webnotebooks. They make a pocket version with the same excellent paper, and Baronfig makes a nice pocket version, too, though I am a fan of the Lochby fieldnotes size notebooks (soft cover) with Tomoe 68 gsm paper and beautifully sewn. The cover is paper, but very durable. It is worth a try. Thanks for another great video.

    My favorite is definitely the Nanami Seven Seas Writer (lined). I have one of the Gfeller leather covers for it. I adore the paper - cream paper with pale grey lines, my very favorite combination. I'm totally with you on the cream paper - it's much easier on the eyes. The reason I haven't purchased one of the Galen Leather notebooks is that they use the ivory Tomoe River Paper (some people call it "white," but if you put it next to bright white paper you can see that it's slightly off-white). I really prefer the cream TRP. It looks and feels beautiful.

    Hi Sharon, yes the cream Tomoe river paper is fantastic, I just never wanted to bother buying a cover for the Writer, since I use so many different journals. I wish Galen leather would make a version with cream colored paper cuz I absolutely love their leather cover.

    @@journaljoyTrue. My journals get handled a lot throughout the day, and for that reason the paper covers (for me) would get wet or dirty. That would annoy me. A perfect example of the phrase “perfect for me, but maybe not for someone else”.

    You might like the A6 Midori MD, it has cream paper that’s beautiful to write on, it’s a proper A6 so it’s wider like the Moleskine rather than a skinny pocket size like the Leuchtturm. The paper is really sturdy too, can handle quite a bit. You can get lines, grid or plain. And there’s a good amount of pages, but not a lot. Or you try the Stalogy in A6, but there’s a ton of pages, but still less than your Galen leather book.

    You did say Moleskine right? Really? You said it? 😂 (Just messing) They were the first kind of book I really started carrying and I want to love them more but can’t. The whole idea of them is superb. The original rear pocket, elastic type book there will ever be but it’s a shame they don’t want to spend any time finding a paper for anything other than a ballpoint. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Thx for the top 5 books! 😃👍🏻

    How is the Epica journal made? How are the pages put together? Are they sewn and glued or just glued? And on their website, it would specify refillable or refillable?

  • @journaljoy

    @@journaljoy The code will still work? Sweet! Might need that. I've been eyeing so many journal brands, but I keep coming back to Epica. It has that magical feel to it, like something from royalty or a wizard's secret library. Does the journal lay pretty flat when opened? I cannot wait to get one for myself. I am super impressed by their packaging.

  • @journaljoy

    @journaljoy

    @@spacecat7715Yes the code should still work. The journal doesn’t lie super flat from the get go, it will need some breaking into. But since it’s stitched and bound that’s not a problem. Yes the journal and packaging have a very premium feel. 😃

    @@journaljoy Do *NOT* even bother yourself in ordering one unit. The 120 gsm Swedish uncoated "Munken" paper on these notebooks performs terribly *BAD* (lots of feathering + ghosting + bleeding, even using an F point nib fountain pen = it swallows more ink than a drunk swallows beer or a truck swallows petrol.)
