Ha!
I have that Bulova and I love it. I was born in 1971 & the historically accurate size is what pushed it over the line. That and a great deal from Star Buy. My favourite of the year would be the Zulu Time. Please note, Santa. When I think ‘swing and a miss’ for this year, the PRX quartz springs to mind. By no means the worst watch produced this year, but Tissot have set themselves a high bar recently.
Best of the year, a Citizen. Not a Tsuyosa even though I picked up one of those as well, but my Citizen Promaster NY0120-01Z. Such a stunner and way to cheap for all the happiness it brings me.
Congratulations on an amazing year!🎉 I am looking forward to getting my teal Erebus and seeing what’s next. I’m hoping for a field watch.
Great work this year Jody. Plenty of excellent watch content. Really worthwhile and fun charity spin-offs and absolutely no "watch drama"😂 You've put a lot of work into this channel and built an audience who will go with you. Really looking forward to my Origin 🎉
My highlight is releasing my own microbrand - Sherwood Watches and having Jody do the first review. My lowlight is that I’ve spent so much time on my brand, I’ve not had any new watches this year.

Congratulations to you too! That's a great watch you've put together. My favourite is the sunburst green, looks awesome!!

Blessings to you and the new brand Jod!
Your videos this year have been central to my watch passions. Thank you 🙏
Always love your vids Jody, happy holidays my guy!
Thanks Jody for another great year
Another GREAT post. Thank you.
Cheers Jody! Great work this year, Doc.
Merry Christmas Jody! List is perfect in my opinion seeing the watches.
Top : Seiko 62MAS design, reissue and homages seem to be the best sellers this year with many influencers touting them. Perfect desk diver. My Islander ISL-154 is my fav of the year & what has been on my wrist the most.
Love these! Popcorn time. My number 1 is on my wrist, it's also a yellow/orange Citizen, but not the Tsuyosa. It's a Challenge diver, the NY0120 01X. Auto, fully Dive rated, and under £200 imported. Stunner. Initial negative... It's thick. But when you're diving, that deep bezel is brilliant. It's not the desk diver it initially appears to be, it's the real thing.

to be fair : using your dive watch for diving is next level 😀
So excited to see your next watches! The Origin just wasn't the watch for me, but I have a Jody-shaped hole in my heart and would love to support you with the next one. Good luck!
I really enjoy my 2023 purchase of a Tandorio '62 Mas'. Sapphire crystal and accurate to around 3 secs per day.
Loved this video. Nicely done, Jody! Cheers from the states
You are good people too Jody. Thanks for another great year, many more to come 👍
I have the Direnzo in orange - what a watch!! Sold out in half an hour - touch and go, almost missed out, bank wouldn't let the payment through being 11.10pm Saturday night in Australia way back on 15 July...
As a fellow Year of the Rabbit, I’m glad you had such an outstanding year. Looking forward to future offerings by Erebus. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone!
Thanks Jody!
Excellent video Jody. After your video of the Casio Duro mini, despite it not being suitable for adults, I bought one for a 10 year old nephew and he loves it ! It's definitely for the younger people. I like the Casio ana-digi but I would spend $80 max on one. Coincidentally my G-Shock Mudmaster GG-1000 has a temperature sensor, it's more insulated from body heat due to positioning of the sensor perhaps but you still need to leave it off your wrist for about 10 minutes to get the right temperature.
Great fun reminiscing Jody. What a great year. Aw the best fae Scotland and and Merry Christmas :)
Have a Merry Christmas Jody, thanks for another great year 👍
Great fun! Already looking forward to the 2024 roundup
My number one would be the PRX 35mm auto in gold, of all the watches released this year that I own it's got to be my most worn one. My bottom would be the Thorn BB58 homage. Nothing wrong with it per se, it just left me completely cold so I moved it on pretty quick smart.
Brilliant share mate
I bought a sprecht and it has the correct movement I kind of like it.
Hey Jody. Thank you for another great year making my favourite hobby even better. Congrats on Erebus. Congrats on your channel. Congrats on your family. Your integrity and many other good qualities come through in spades. Merry Christmas.
Always entertaining and informative. Merry Christmas Jody to you and yours.
Best for me would have to be the Bulova Jet Star, it's a beautiful watch.
Personally loving my red/blue Casio Duro with a sapphire crystal swap, the look is surprisingly clean for how low its price. Got the 200m version just before the large change in size and I think they will get more interest as a fun homage watch that is very functional and comfortable.
We put our trust in you, because you are one of us. Just a fan of great watches. I'm looking forward to receiving mine next year.
I think the smaller lunar pilot fitted you well. Looks good to me.
An excellent round up. Wishing you &Yours a Great Christmas and New year and success for Erebus.
Great roll-up! I was watching Teddy’s end of year roll-up the other day with the 45 second appearances by his/your fellow influencers and just thought that these end of year specials are really a fun way to wind up things up. (Wind things up, get it?)
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Jody! I hope it is a good one for you and your family.
Love my new Bulova Lunar Pilot Snoopy!
I always wondered whether Mathey-Tissot was a good brand or not. Now I know. Thanks Jody! I don't think it's fair to put the smaller Duro and smaller Lunar Pilot on the naughty list. They are often judged (unfairly) against the high standards set by their predecessors, but are good watches in themselves, especially considering the price points.
Great video as always Dr J. Will be nice to see an Erebus plaque on the shelf.
Citizen Promaster Fugu Batman on black rubber strap number 2 on my 2023 list. Top watch
Dope shirt Jody. Love your videos great content.
Nothing wrong with the now wearable, accurately sized, polished Bulova Lunar Pilot. On strap it is a pure joy!👌
Best - ordering my first micro brand, the Erebus Origin of course! Really enjoying the journey and the little updates we get along the way. Worst - Rolex A.D’s!
Citizen Challange Diver titanium on the black rubber strap with black bezel iis on the top of list for me. What an amazing watch
We now have a Duro that is too big and one that is too small. Absolute masterpiece of market analysis.
I enjoy an Addiesdive retro auto that has fantastic all out the bezel lume with some style to it and the Titanium Boderry Automatic field watch that is really well built Chinese watches have been steeping up with better offerings this year and sharpened their pricing. Even Pagani is a bit better with quality control. Thanks to my fine collection of watch reviewers I picked better than I used to and have no worst purchases.
That seiko presage irish coffee really is gorgeous! I bought an Orient Star RE-AU0001S00B for myself when I heard I was about to become a father (to pass it to my child some day), so that's my watch of the year! 😅
That last one looks good ! :)
Hellooooooo.. from Glasgow. Got me a Citizen Fugu this year. I usually wouldn't touch anything above 40mm, but the Fugu at 44mm surprized me how well it wears. The strap is awful though.
Great work on the charities 👍
Top 5 include citizen green “explorer” style eco drive titanium - fantastic gada. Also citizen fugu is great quality for the price, has a great presence. Bottom 5 include PG models where hands fell off and bracelets break removal tools. Also seagull 1963 where hands fell off.

What is the model # of your green Titanium Eco-Drive please?
Finally a Casio Duro I would actually buy...for my 4 year old son😅
Wow!!! What an amazing awesome incredible surprise! Thank you so much!!! I’m absolutely delighted to be part of your best selection! ❤❤❤❤
And congratulations on the success of your micro brand
The Erebus watches are really nice.
My watch of the year is.........Pagani Mission to Alaska, the red beauty.....the only watch I bought this year worthy of the rating, I did buy a beautiful Seamaster Chrono clone, its great and better than the Pagani but costly at ~$800AUD, but best not to be spoken of.
2023 was a busy year for you ... well done on many fronts!
Thank you Jody for opening our eyes to the contempt that some manufacturers have for our little people. Pathetic !! Joyeuses fêtes ! 🎄🥂
That specht is truly epic
Hey Jody, I don't know if these are the best or worse but definitely worth looking at and discussing. They are all Citizens, I hoped you would but silence! The first are the new Citizen GMTs. You could love them or hate them, but at least worth looking at. The second are the Citizen 36mm Promaster divers. A small diver, way better than that Casio! The third, the new Citizen BN1010-05E, with the 12month battery. You must have seen photos of this from a very proud owner on a certain Facebook forum. I personally think it's a stunner.
That Bulova mini looks fine on your wrist.
Great video again! Sadly for me the Bulova has moved from my wrist too. I tried to tell myself it was fine but in the end had to admit it was just a touch big. Almost bought the new 43mm version but resisted. Perhaps one day they will make a 40 or 41mm Lunar Pilot. It would fly off the shelves if correctly priced. It's gone to a good home in London for a guy who watches your channel. Thanks Jody.
Good stuff!
Thank you for great content ! Awesome watch, do you think you will ever make a bigger version of your current model? Maybe 44mm? Thank you again!
Your reaction to that "German Chronograph"? Priceless! 😁 Maybe we should start giving out Annual Watch Darwin Awards? They'd be surely nominated! 😉
You overlooked the Spagetti Scametti in the top 5

Well, I thought about it. For a nanosecond.
" Dark Jody is Awesome " !
Hmm.......I think the Bulova mini pilot looks pretty good. Looks fine on your wrist imo. For me, the best watch of the year was the Citizen BN1014-55E, the eco-drive 365. I just think it's a great watch. Maybe objectively the Longines Zulu time 39mm. I though the original was my perfect watch but when I tried it on, I thought it was a bit big...this fixes the problem. Second option, Rado Diastar Skeleton. Worst watch - Swatch x Blancpain. I didn't mind the Moonswatch, but this is getting into the "quite expensive" zone for a plastic watch that won't last long.
BULOVA moon pilot 45mm is the best value for money on your list in my opinion I own the 45mm & the 43mm snoopy version.
good video and i look forward to 300K!!

Oh yeah, that will happen mid next year! I need to do a MASSIVE giveaway. Cheers!
Yes
Hi Jodie, have you heard of or handled Kuoe Kyoto watches at all? I'd be interested to know your opinion on this brand and the watches they offer.
I'm looking forward to the Erebus Titanium Solar Quartz with 1 second a year accuracy. Go on, you know you want to.
2023 seemed to be the year in which all releases will be delayed until next year for delivery or sale even though they were promised this year. Also the year of 'we can only sell to locals' at the boutiques
I think the Lunar Pilot in blue is really beautiful, I had one, what I disliked was the lume.
I was thinking of buying one of the Specht & Sohne Santos de Cartier homages. Now I think I won't.😂 I'll go for the Tsuyosa that I've been waiting for price drops on. I did get an I&W Carnival homage to the Cartier Tank Must Small, though!
Man you got a lot more done than I did this year
Thanks Jody! I think you missed the Bulova Jetstar 96B401 highbeat quartz - especially in red - as one of the best pieces this year. Cheers from Germany, have a wonderful x-mas time with your family and a very happy new year! ❤️

That Bulova Jetstar 96B401 highbeat quartz looks good but 30m WR would kill it for me.
a stand out for me is the Spaghetti Scameti. Been living that luxury Scameti life since I got one.
Excellent selection as always Jody. The Charity work should have been number 1 considering all the money you raised. Looking forward to see what 2024 brings on the channel. Have a great Xmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. 👍⌚🎅
Hello Jordi on the best I’ll put GS GMT on worst Blancpain Swatch
Would love to see a matte black lunar pilot
“The new version doesn’t fit my wrist” is a ludicrous reason to take a crap on a watch. The new Lunar Pilot improved by deleting the date window that ruined the symmetry. Replacing the Bulova wordmark on the dial with an era-appropriate retro version was smart as well. And the blue panda version with the subtle texture on the dial is especially terrific.
Honestly think the Duro mini would have been fine at that size if 200m of WR with a nicer bezel. Would it be great if there were a 40/20 in addition to 44/22 and 36/16? Yeah, but the big fault is that Casio skimped on the specs. A huge part of the charm of the Duro is that its a real dive watch with good specs for $50. If the small watch was a real diver too, even if too small for some, it'd be right for someone else. But they made a fake watch, as though women or kids don't need a real diver.
The Citizen Tsuyosa is my new Watch of 2023 without a doubt. My biggest disappointment was the Revelot Universal, because the 40mm was way too big and shoulda been max 38 for that kinda watch.
As much as I enjoyed the original thorough and fitting roast of Specht & Sohne, the *memory world echo* over your cracking yourself up had me rolling on the floor even more. I’d love to hear what they were thinking. (If anything) 😊
For me the Black Bay 54 was the realease of the year. I've yet to even see one in person but I admire the fact that when their "sister" company is sizing their watches up Tudor is releasing smaller watches. Definitely need to aquire one in 2024 :)

Naw it’s a straight copy of the 1950s Submariner design. Nothing original to it
The Bulova 43.5MM Lunar Pilot is the actual size or thereabouts worn by Dave Scott on the moon rover so as far being true to history the size is accurate the same with the Omega Speedmaster, people like me buy this for its historical background and if you want to wear it with a suit or going to the grocery you don't need a 284hz quartz mechanism but it doesn't mean it's a bad watch or your "bottom 5" just because you don't like it's size
Sometimes your biggest regret/ purchase, turns into one of your best surprises, when you stick it on a different style strap and you think (why didn’t I try this before) my G-Shock carbon core now sits on a 24mm sail cloth strap, it’s gone from WHY what was I thinking to Hello wrist, here’s you new mate. I know it’s not ground breaking but sometimes it’s so simple. Thanks for your content, while the wife watches the soaps I watch JOMW.
J Bang on with the Bulova - certainly one of my big disappointments this year. Luckily I tried it on in an AD first so was never lumbered with one. As well as the size, too much polishing and a butterfly clasp killed it for me. Roll on 2028 …? Hope 2024 is good to you, yours and Erebus.
I have been hearing good things about this new Aussie brand. You should review them sometime 😉
Hey Jody, that Specht & Sohnne has either been corrected or you got one-off mistake. I picked up the black dial version (before your unboxing disaster) and the chronograph works exactly as expected. On my watch there is no running seconds, the second hand and 60-minute timer at 9 start/stop with the top pusher, and the bottom pusher resets. The functionality is 100% correct. However, the bracelet is passable at best and a tad bit uncomfortable. But at least it's not broken like yours. 😂
i have to defend the citizen (and casio) temp sensors: yes, you have to take it off because of physics. your body heat gets transferred to the watch via your wrist. this is not the fault of the manufacturer or technology. just for comparision, get a thermometer (especially a mercury one) and hold it in your hands.

I agree! Jody should have, at the very least, do some research, cause if some people get harassed online for posting photos of them wearing that Citizen, it will be his fault for stirring up his fans and not telling them to practice self-restraint (basically, butterfly effect in a nutshell: Jody posting his video trashing that Citizen, then one of his fans, who doesn't belive in the idea of self-restraint, harass or even assault someone who wears, enjoy, or just even say that 'I like that Citizen'), cause after the Cold War ended, selt-restraint has become more of a rare commodity with the rise of unrestrained extremism.
See Jody, your logic on the Citizen AniDigi being overpriced for a watch that’s only ever going to be a bit of retro fun is exactly why I was happy to pay about $70AUD for my Armitron Griffy but would NEVER pay even the Jomashop reduced prices for the Hamilton PSR, even though I LOVE that watch!!
Wish I found this channel to invest!
A fun run down, own the original Lunar Pilot & quite like it, didn't realize the new one was fully polished, it's a very different look, not a big fan
Love my lunar pilot lol guess I have a bigger wrist
that last bell n ross was hilarious...they even went to the effort to align the screw heads like AP does(hublot doesnt) and then to leave the subdial off was absolute insanity...whats next? maybe they will make a diver then ditch the markings on a divers bezel and replace them with heiroglypics..lol ..merry christmas to you, your family and all the chaps in our community!
