Bought only 1 watch this year, my first watch, the Casio A158. Love the channel!

I would have kept the yellow CasiOak - I actually have 😃 It goes well with blue, green, red and black, which are my favourite t-shirt colours. Besides - solar, waterproof, shock proof, brilliant light, bluetooth, world time, big brand, great design and all of this for a bargain price. What's not to like?

Same. I still have mine & it is the best conversation starter watch wise I own. No one is jealous but almost everyone loves it. Including me.

I bought zero watches this year. But I gave my six year old son my old Casio DW-5600. He’s worn it every day for three months and absolutely loves it.

Out of the bunch that is kept, I like the Pagani Alaska most, but that will not get a lot of wrist time as it draws too much unwarranted attention. My next pick is the Baltany chrono, it looks well-balanced and beautiful in a subtle way. Thanks for 'test-driving' all these watches. I love your reviews

Thanks for another great video! Unusually for me, I bought only 1 watch this year. A sweet little 36mm Tandorio, nh35 powered, sapphire crystal, etc that I have really enjoyed. The only drawback is the laughable lume. Wears surprisingly well for a small watch.

I have several of the san martins that you reviewed in person, so thanks for that! love your channel and your work, keep being the best watch guy on the inter webs!

Love the collection update. I got my Chronosport Monday and it’s been glued to wrist. I’m wearing it on tropic because somehow I lose the metal band the day I opened the box😢. Thanks for the recommendation and the great content!

I also bought the black/teal square G-Shock this year. I know the strap is a bit chunky, but I love it, and it’s now my go-to watch for hiking and camping trips.

I went Casio crazy over the past couple years because of your videos Jody. 1 G Shock turned into 6 pretty quickly, then I bought a solar powered Edifice with sapphire and it's been on my wrist ever since. Keep the content coming!

Love these videos, I show them to my wife in an effort to ameliorate my watch addiction. Have to agree about that Baltany Military Chronograph, picked it up on your recommendation and it's been one of my favourite acquisitions this year. Not bad considering the company it's in, this year saw the arrival of a JLC Reverso Duoface to mark a promotion, a Seagull 1963 (finally), a Tissot PRX 35mm and a Seiko Snoopy. There was one other acquisition that hasn't arrived yet though but really looking forward to in early 2024... Any guesses as to what it might be 😉

I bought 2 watches this year. A G-Shock on clearance @ Walmart & the Cronos diver you touted during to 11.11 sale. Only able to get the PT5000 & it makes a strange noise sometimes but it may be an internal mod candidate next year (ditch those Mercedes hands for something more unique). Love your videos. Keep up the GREAT work!

4 this year. My all time grail 214270 Explorer, Omega Aquaterra Day Date, Ricoh Day Date and a Vaer Solar Diver that is way more charming than I expected it would be. It was an epic year and it’s probably never going to be eclipsed.

I absolutely agree about those Seiko back-to-front straps. I once had that on a Formex and the loose end constantly got caught on something.

not sure why you haven’t included the San Martin GMT on the list Jody, the review you did on that watch was fantastic and honestly, i nearly gave in and got one myself! but i bit the bullet and got a Seagull 1963 instead as i’ve been eyeing it up for quite a while now. thank you for showing a new collector like me that not all good watches have to be expensive, and not all expensive watches are good! here’s to another great year Jody!

Having started the year by getting laid off, I cut way back on watch buying. Got zero new ones, but picked up a few junkers to flip. Among those was a ‘60’s Zodiac Sea Wolf, so that was cool.

I only bought one watch this year so far... It was a Zelos swordfish field. These days I can't see myself buying from any other company. Such amazing pieces, and in my opinion one of the best microbrands out there.

Nice one Jody, thanks for the mention re the Houitja ( or whatever it's called .. lol ) I bought the Casio GBD 200 in blue and 3 Steeldives. To be honest, I might replace the GBD 200 with the black version next year during the sales.

Thanks for the video. I bought fewer watches this year and am going to sell more off. I bought a Seiko SBXY053, and that now rarely leaves my wrist. Despite my "I'll never buy an automatic" stance to avoid having to buy a watch winder, I broke down and bought two automatics: Boderry Sea Turtle and a Namica Shirahama.

Thanks Jody. I have to admit that those yellow dials are striking a chord with me. I only purchased 5 watches this year, still heavily into divers but my favorite is the Zelos Bronze 38mm Swordfish Field in burnt orange. It just looks so good and I continue to get compliments every time I wear it.

I added 9 this year. Only 3 in the second half of the year. I did a big consolidation for a Moser, so I have less watches than I started the year with that's for sure. A small tight collection is best for my sanity I have found lol

I bought that Baltany you recommend and I love it. Think it was only 2 this year as my wife bought me the ‘What if’ Swatch that ain’t going anywhere either. Perhaps your tally is not as big as you borrowed quite a few too Jody.

My Bell & Ross BR-03 in ceramic is getting all the wear. It's comfortable and easy to read and sends out a sporty vibe. Picked it up unworn for a good price.

Fun list of watches! I still have my blingy Bulova limited edition.....on the blue strap. Perfect. Bought too many this year.😮

That mystery Christmas gift watch looks like an Alpinist to me.... My 2023 has been much more restraint than previous years, but I went with brand names and quality over KS and micros a bit more. The highlight was my Constellation, a true grail watch for me and one I will keep forever, but I also picked up a Junghans mechanical under 8mm, and hopefully a Bel Canto will sneak in before the end of the year, but thats still unconfirmed. I did also get a couple of affordable watches, including a wandering hour from KS and an affordable (yes, really) automatic chronograph in the Stunt Planetarium - worth looking into.

Added this year. Citizen Calendier. Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 (glacier blue dial). Timex Expedition. Luminox Leatherback Seaturtle Giant. Citizen Rolan. Kept them all

Thanks Jody for another great video :) As for me, my collection hasn't become much bigger this year, partly because I'm doing my best to keep it modest while also saving up for my grail. So, only two watches this year - a lovely Japanese Seiko SNK375, which was a birthday gift from my wife (I'd been eyeing it for quite a while), and a 40th anniversary G-Shock DW-6640, which I bought because I love G-Shock and wanted an anniversary model in my collection. Not planning anything for the next year, but we'll see :)

I just got in my Baltany field watch with a Barton canvas strap. I have a little short on here of it. Perfect for everyday. Steeldive 1970 is inbound. Im pretty excited. AliE’s Black Friday was great. Sadly I sat on the Bodery in titanium and the sale is done. Thanks for all the reviews.

I added 11 to my collection this year, top three picks are my Phoibos eagle ray auto (my new favorite daily wear) black and gilt, seiko negroni, and a 1951 longines!

Fun video, Jody- thanks for sharing. Per your info request, I only bought one watch this year. It was a Karlskrona Hemlig, and for $399USD, I have to say it’s fantastic. If the 12hr bezel were bidirectional, it would be perfect. As it is, it’s darn close. I’ll need to sell a couple of inexpensive pieces I haven’t worn in a couple of years here pretty soon, bringing my 17 watch collection down to 15 pretty soon. Anyway, looking forward to the end of year SOTC video soon.

Another vote for keeping the CasiOak, though of all the G-SHOCKs I own (and it's a lot), it is my least favorite; but that model is positive display + solar + BT and the yellow is fun, so it really was the best of the design by far. For me this year it's been 5 purchased +1 gift, the most expensive being €90. I did more mods this year, like adding a domed sapphire crystal to my Casio Duro, and experimenting with dial swaps and strap options. Gotta divide my attention between watches and bicycle projects! Great video, always love the year-end stuff.

This year 9 out (all citizens bar a Seiko ) and 6 in : Breitling and a Tag Heure (my first premium watches) a Spinnaker a Seiko plus at the other end of the market a Cronos and a Pagani (impressed with both)

I bought my Dad a wave ceptor for Christmas thx to your review. I got the one on the cnvas.leather strap as he has arthritis and hates synthetic straps. Figures crossed in that I hope he likes it. Afterall you cant cant get a better watch with solar and atomic time for that price.

I REALLY like the colors on that G-Shock square that you sold. That watch is 🔥.

The Yellow GAB2100 is very bright and squeaky but after switching the case with my yellow/mustard GA2100 case with the black bezel which I actually love, it’s now one of the most worn watches in my collection.. wasn’t too crazy with the purchases this year but I did buy 4 watches in very very quick succession in October which consisted of a Sumo, King Samurai and King Turtle and a Steinhart Ocean One in Pink Gold.. and just 2 days ago I pulled the trigger on the Alpinist.. which I think is what your thumbnail is..

Purchased: Christopher Ward C60, San Martin Tudor homage - black dial/red bezel; Cadisson GMT; 2 x Addiesdive Rolex homages; Addiesdive King Seiko homage with sand dune textured dial and one or two others I can't remember!

Intersting Vid Jodie, my biggest buy of the was the Legend diver, great price, great watch, then theybrought it out in 39mm, bugger. Where do you flip your watches pleasd I have a couple i'd like shift on.

The Seiko Irish Coffee is the standout for me, beautiful watch. I bought the Baltany Military after your review and love it. Also a San Martin bronze pilot, another keeper. 😊😊

Really just got into watches this year. Got a bunch of casios lol but the highlights are my gm2100, Hamilton khaki field automatic, and now eyeballing the glycine combat sub auto

I bought the PRX Quartz. First bricks and mortar purchase in several years but the jeweler in Lakeland FL had a great price. Then 3 in the recent 11/11. Mission to Alaska (awesome) Addisdive Tiffany wave dial (really awesome) and…ahem…the Zeblaze Ares 3 (only for exercise, I promise) that I bought to replace my Garmin I lost early this year. I liked it so much I went ahead and purchased the GPS version. Should be here any day. Lusting heavily over the Sea Quartz. Will see. Thanks Jody!

i bought my first house so i was not as focused on horology. i got a baltany chrono which i love... i got an oceanus OCW-T200S-1AJF and a 31 dollar smart watch during the 11/11 sale. to celebrate the new house i got myself an oceanstar! gonna wait and open it on xmas morning.... cheers! thanks jody!

Loved the Baltany chrono, too, but loved their update later in the year better. Same black on the dial, same crystal, same meccaquartz inside, same blasted case, well, BEAD blasted. But they added a chrono subdial for HOURS and made all sub dials more legible. Why do so many meccaquartz watches have that useless 24-hour subdial (time of day) instead of this hours register for the chrono? Maybe that's the question of the year?

I've always wondered the same.

This year was a pretty modest one for me, except for my Longines purchase. Picked up 4 Paganis, including the Newman and the Batman, which I picked up for under $50 USD each! The Longines was my 25th birthday gift to myself, and is the 40mm calendar chronograph with the black dial on the bracelet. Absolutely stunner, and for a high horology buff it’s THE best watch under $2,000 USD and it’s not even close. Here’s to 2024, Jody!

This year I bought a couple of watches from the 11/11 sale (they're my Christmas presents from the wife). Both Pagani Design chronos (dark side of the moon and the patek). Right now I'm trying to make a choice for a free watch from my employer. I won an award (peer recognition) and basically have 340 points to exchange for items. The new lunar pilot is 300 points and there are various Seikos and Citizens at different points (basically I can get the LP or a couple of Seikos like the Sports GMT, the new Speedtimer, etc). Your videos have been super helpful in making this decision!

For me, gold was the theme for this past year. Got a bronze/gold Casio 1200 world timer and added a Vario blood red strap. Then I was gifted a blue and gold Islander Roslyn by my brother and his wife. Lastly, I paid peanuts for a Jack Mason Ellum on clearance, a very underrated watch. Small seconds quartz with a tasteful gold tone with all the right dimensions, a supple black leather strap and a sapphire crystal. For $73. It surprisingly is the watch I wear most out of the 3 and probably my second most worn watch.

My top purchase was a Hamilton Intra-Magic baby with Smokey grey dial. I also went Proxima chrono 😎 have you reviewed any Proximas? Happy Holidays 🎄🎅🏼

Another 24 added this year but 5 sold. Total collection a ludicrous 35 now with more plans still for 24. However 2 out 1 in from here. Biggest surprise was the humble Seiko Monster , Antarctica edition and simply soooo wearable!

I really considered the Jet Star in the butterscotch, especially at the recent sale price on Bulova's site - but decided to hold off. I've bought plenty in 2023 -- by my own standards at least. In 2023 I have bought a Hamilton PSR (green display) for $565, a Tissot PRX quartz 40mm (black dial) for $270, a D-Cave Bulova Computron (as you showed here) for $150. Of those three I've bonded least with the Computron and I may pass it on. I've nearly filled two watch boxes (10 + 12 slots), and it's time for me to stop thinking about selling watches and start doing it.

Great video, love seing what you reject and what you kept for a while. Been trying to restrict my buying to one in one out. Seems to help keep it inder control. Just sold a total of 7 on fleabay, gave 3 to my son so not doing badly. Best purchase is a Seiko Samurai save the ocean, got it brand new with a discount code that was working twice so £200 off retail price from a local AD.😮

This year I bought a Casio Lineage LIW-M700D, but I lost it one night, after a couple weeks. Most likely someone has chosen to keep it for themselves, as it still hasn't wound up with the police or the Found goods -office after all this time. (I'm still checking those as often as I can, so maybe one day) To fill the empty spot, I then bought the classic black Pagani "Design" PD-1701, which I enjoy wearing very much. I also bought modding parts for my old Invicta this year, and lots of new paratrooper straps. Those are my favorite kind now.

I purchased 2 watches to date. I saw both on a history channel that I follow. One was your Erebus and the other was the Wolves of Odin. 👍

Good as always! A very mixed year. 70's Seiko quartzes (lovely) and Sea-gull. Then I discovered discovered Ali Express. Big mistake!! Too many purchases after that. The quality, overall, is really good. I sold a 1955 JLC, a Bond Gruen Precision and a gold 60s Garrard. I'm still regretting a failed attempt to buy a Seiko Alpinist. Lovely watch and good customer support from Seiko, but not a good example.

Never sold a watch. Given many away, and trashed a few. New sold one though. This year for me was a new Sea-Dweller 43, then a G-Shock GBD200. Looking for a yellow Tsuyosa.

The Oris 65 Deauville/heritage dial to me is still the best looking watch , only wish Oris still made them . Would really be a dream come true to pick one up in good condition and a good price

I love that one as well and found one new in one of my local shops but just felt too big on the wrist (7 inch).

Added 12 this year, collection now stands at 90! Would have been more but the last purchase was an Explorer 2 with a black dial. Next arrival will be an Erebus with the red dial.

That's pretty good only keeping 24% I'll have to take a leaf from your book. I would have kept the Arnie, but that's maybe because I wanted one and ended up with 3! - different colours though. so maybe I'll keep the PADI Pepsi and move the other two on. I've nearly pulled the trigger on the Pagani Alaska a few times and I see they have it in a Pepsi as well plus some other colours.

It was a pretty good year for me. My wife got me a Seiko Square SWR049 for our 8th wedding anniversary and I was issued a Marathon GPQ after months of bothering my supply sergeant. Haha.
