Janie, I legitimately did think that this was clickbait. I completely understand your decisions. I feel like we live very similarly-working professionals with a passion for baking. The being ‘present’ while home with your kids is SO important. It’s exactly why I stopped uploading everyday. I just upload whatever I normally want to do in my baking life and am grateful if people want to watch. I can appreciate how difficult that would be to do if you made that big leap to make KZread your main source of income. I get asked a lot when I’m going to quit teaching and switch over to KZread only, but it is very unpredictable income. Love your ideas for your kids’ upcoming cakes-my son is a huge fan of dinosaurs too!! That is SO exciting that you might open a storefront!! I still want to come visit you in New York one day and how cool would that be if you had your shop open!!! Eek! Wishing you all the best 💕💕

Even though you've moved on from making these videos, I really appreciate what you HAVE put out. I've only discovered your channel today, but some of your tips for new home bakers (or those considering becoming a home baker) have been a breath of fresh air and SO helpful for me. Like, just bake in the beginning and don't worry about the extras, work on the basics and get them perfected, are you wanting to be a business or a hustle, etc. So thank you for all the tips, thank you for your forthright manner and telling it like it is. I just found your channel and I am honestly sad you are leaving bc your videos were great. However I can totally relate. I was a professional cake decorator for 6 years and I got burnt out. I’m really sorry you’re ending your channel but after listening I totally get it. So sorry to hear about you leaving. I do believe. That this is something that KZread did with the algorithm. Your videos would show up in my “newsfeed” at one point. That stopped happening with several channels that I followed. I had to actively search for your page to see new videos. Unfortunately that only happened when it came to mind that I hadn’t seen one of your videos in a while. Best of luck to you.

Do not judge yourselves or your success by views....... You know deep down inside who you are is who you are in your heart when no one's looking and it's only between you n the LORD...... Views were up in huge amounts for everyone 2020 because of quarantine so everyone had a huge dip in 21 because people were coming out of quarantined at home all day..... I'm happy if you're happy no matter what you decide .....most important is your humility and happiness success is being who God wants you to be not whether I'm a great fill in the blank....
