Across my KZread and TikTok channels, I am always seeing comments about my Tesla Model X. After six months of ownership, I thought it would be only right if I did a Tesla Model X review for the world to see. This video goes over everything I love about the car as well as what I am not too thrilled about.
In this Tesla Review, I show you the falcon winged doors and all of the fancy technology that comes with the car. The Tesla Model X goes from 0-60 MPH in under 3 seconds which is insane! Some of the great features of the car are of course, the full self driving mode and the summon feature, which you will hear my take on as well.
As for the negative aspect of the car, I did not hold back when sharing my experience. At the end of it all, I give my opinion on whether or not I think the Tesla is a good buy, and if the full self driving mode is worth the price as well.

Thank you for taking the time to post this video. We are considering this model and you answered all of our concerns.
Ryan I just brought the same year and model two months ago for the same reason. Your KZread presentation describe my concerns good and bad exactly. But im very happy with my purchase aswell. Work in progess like all of us. Thanks for sharing.
We bought ours new, 2020 with FSD since we are both advanced in age. Our plan is for it to be our last car, and able to get us around after we quit driving in 5-10 years.

Great review! I'm looking for a used X 2020. Your honest review was concise and very reflective. It's an awesome piece of technology that I hope to purchase soon. Thanks!

Thanks for watching, man!
The red Tesla logo on both in the front of the car and steering wheel adds a whole charm and coolness to this awesome car shaped piece of tech‼️
Review was so well done I actually thought this was a Tesla channel! Also love real estate so your other content was a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
I didn't realize these had the auto door opening feature - that's awesome 🔥
I bought a used 2017 Model X 100D back in May and its a pretty freaking cool car. The touchscreen drives me nuts sometimes when it shuts down for a few minutes but lucky Tesla has announced they will replace the eMMC on all S/X made prior to March 2018.
Great review mate! Love the matte blue colour! Currently planning on buying a Model X Plaid next year and a Model 3 Performance for my partner
Great Info! I always wondered about Tesla cars.
So cool had one in the shop that was doing funky things with the door it was all jacked up 😂
Hey Ryan! Just saw you on Graham’s show. Thinking about getting a Tesla. Love this 6 month review. Keep going with your channel. 👍

Its good that you got the self driving feature on yours but I agree $10k is high if you're buying a new one! Sweet car. I like them in white.
Great review man. Nice to point out that 10k for self drive may not be worth it. I was thinking that myself. I can't understand why they won't repair fault's and scratch on car... that is insane.
I have the same car 2018 P100D, I get about 270 miles on a full charge, might be the way your car has been used. My car has only done about 20k miles and has barely been supercharged. Your one looks like a late 2016 or 2017 so that could also be the reason. So look out for miles, supercharger usage and month & year
Love the videos! Keep it up

Is that a big deal to you?
The large wheels will definitely eat your range, that said, you should be able to see it. You can tell the car what wheels you're on from in the menu and it will adjust the expected range accordingly. Also, you'll get better life out of the battery charging it every night if that's not too big of a pain (I certainly forget sometimes). I imagine you know this, but charging to 100% is totally fine so long as you don't leave it like that for extended periods. For a road trip you absolutely should charge to 100% using scheduled departure.
Agree for road trips ,we use our gas car. And recently had my car in for service on computer, when got it back lost about 45 miles of charging, they basically said live with it
Y money but want x thanks for your real world perspective and review! I cannot wait to plug one in at home

That’s too bad about your charging experience. I got same Tesla Model X except longer range version. I charge at 90% and they puts be at 285 mi. But at 100% I’m at ~320. When I first got it I really wanted the performance like you have, though I still kind of do lol.
thanks for your honesty sir
not me getting nervous for Ryan when he was going fast on what looked like a smaller residential road 😳
Very useful video. Thanks

Summon is only useful when its raining hard, it comes to you when you parked so far and you don't get soaked

Not the only thing. My father is in a wheel chair and he uses the summons every day to pull the car out so he has room to get in and put his wheel chair in the car when someone parks next to him. It's incredibly useful for him. It's one of the reasons he choose the Tesla.

Great information. Thanks.
Thanks for this
Hm, i thought the summon in the video worked really well. I was impressed. Must have missed something.
Literally my favourite video ever! ALSO, super jealous that you have this car! I am hoping to trade a deck of cards for a Tesla...I am currently at a Fat Bike...want to trade for your Tesla, Ryan? :P
In Korea, this youtuber had an issue with Tesla and took it to shop. This was a brand new but once they opened the door to see inside there were broken window glass parts. Plus this car had missing parts too.
We just got a 2022 Corolla se that has a pretty cool little mode where you press a button and let off the break and it stays stopped till you gas again but while the modes on once you break again it automatically locks again which is pretty cool on drive throughs and in traffic kind of stuff hope Elon gets that info and puts them in cause this is like dream car for sure

All EVs have that ability due to built in Regenerative Brake. Best part is when you drive with one peddal driving, you just let off accelerator slowly and the car stopps smoothly and keeps it that way until you accelerate again.
I’m going to trade in my 2018 Dodge Durango SRT for a Model X. I love the gull wings doors.
I jus got Tesla model x 2020 but I haven’t drive on a road trip yet. And I don’t know how long at the super charge will take to charge.
I’d be leery about buying a Tesla that’s a few years old due to battery degradation. Your thoughts on that? Thanks.
Is that colour a wrap, or a re-spray?
Awesome car Ryan - keen to see Tesla get some competition though!

Those wing doors look like a gimmick to me, but would be great for letting the heat out on a hot day before entering car.

You don’t need to do that with a Tesla. You can pre-cool your car with the app, so that it would be fresh and cool once you get in
Turning radius is horrible on Model X. A good example is the time window needed to complete an unsuccessful U turn specially if you heave 2022 steering yoke. This is also a safety issue, because it exposes you to incoming traffic with no room to back up. I have not measured the turning radius on my Mosel X, but 36' is what people are reporting. I wonder Giga Berlin Plant will release cars with this kind of turning radius for European markets. For the eight month I owned this car crackling, squeaking and chirping noises are not getting any better. FSD definitely is not recommended at this point. Major improvements are needed. Some of them seems to be not Tesla's fault, for example street markings, upkeep and standardization. I also think Model X is missing grab bars to help people with mobility issues to access or exit the cabin.
I have 2015 Model S, range really isn't an issue, drive to Maine and SC on the way up and back. MORE charging infrastructure will be developed in this country so road trips will be NOT A BIG DEAL......
Is that Satin Finish from the factory or a wrap?
Ok Ryan What The Monthly Repair cost and annual costs and tire changing cost ????
Thank you! I am getting the exact model X configuration you are recommending. 2021 long range plus, 6 seater without FSD.

Right! The charging issue is terrible. Big problem even with my new Model 3. Bad
Nice video. I did a similar video with my much cheaper model 3 haha. Model X is a dream car tho
These are major issues that are nice to know. Thanks for sharing. I can't believe Tesla gave you a car with so many scratches and defects. I would have complained until they gave me a brand new car.

He bought a used car...literally said it at the beginning of the video.
The solution I have found for my sisters 2020 model x , is I put a luggage rack in the tow package hitch and put my diesel 11kw diesel generator and charges it when she goes in a long trip. Just stop to eat and charge it up.
Nice HONEST review
I really like this editing style, your account is gonna explode! Keep up the great content👍

My model X is by far the best road trip vehicle we've ever had the pleasure of owning, I don't know what this guy is complaining about, Nor does it take an hour to supercharge. It only takes an hour if you charge to 100%. Anything else is 20 to 30 minutes...

@@edwardecko he litterly Explained the Issue 1- In a Long Trip you don't wait For 100% at a Supercharger right ??? That's 50 miles lost already 2- Cold Weather Temperatures reduce Range That's another 50 miles Range gone to Dust 3- You are not ment to discharge batteries below 20% that's another 50 miles you can use , yes you could drive to 0 miles Range however that risks a Vehicle Shutdown and could potentially damage the battery pack . All this things add up to a Poor Range at Motorway speeds 🤷
@edwardecko

@@niceboy60 I take it you do not own a Tesla. My Model X has a heat pump unit. For road trips there's no need to charge you a 100%. On interstates every 50 to a 100 miles, Super chargers are available. I own one of the rarest teslas the 1st 300 unit every produced. I still have the original battery battery Over a 100000 miles. Is only lost 3 miles out of my original battery capacity. Electric car is not for everybody I wasn't on board. But it's one of the best Road trip vehicles I've ever had a pleasure Of owning.

And yes I have gone below 20% numerous times like I said If one of the 1st tessels ever produced still going strong.
140 miles range is a big issue, especially for me in the northeast. We go skiing during winter, but the ski resort is 140 miles away. It is highly likely I have to charge twice in a round trip.

Check out FSD beta testing videos on youtube to see what Full Self Driving is actually capable of and what the general public will soon have access to. Its mind blowing.
Great content - no b.s.! Sub'd!
Good honest review and very well presented. Truth is most of the cool tech stuff is an overpriced gimmick and 70 miles of real world range is bloody terrible. Also, if I want to feel the effortless acceleration of an electric motor I'll just take a ride in an express elevator. They've been around for forty years and they're not usually riddled with panel gaps.
The first half of the battery range is exaggerated that's why you are getting 70 out of your initial 140. The second half of your 140 is more accurate and gets more accurate as you get less so you are less likely to get stranded.
Nice video man - I made the same video about my Model Y regrets and it popped off with 70k views!

Thank you for being honest about the battery life. After the novelty for all the cool and gimmicky features wears off you want your car to be a car and get you places. Electric cars are great for city driving but for lon range they suck.
His gripes with broken light and dash scratches are that it's a USED X. Tesla isn't responsible for that. Hell, odds are the place that wrapped it probably did that damage- if not the prior owner(s). As a model 3 owner charging take no time. Maybe 15mins max. Nice wrap though!

What? That is Teslas fault. He bought it from them. You realize other dealer Certified Pre-Owned programs will definitely do cosmetic fixes and upgrades before selling their inventory. Right?
Yeah I’m sick of opening my own doors. 😆 my wife can press her own door button
Why don't you stay at hotels that let you charge?
9:06 is the most important reason that people dont realize while buying EV. you dont get 289 or full mileage, you always wanna charge at 80% and you cannot risk not recharging at 50% ... I personally think 500+ mile range is probably a good one...

Just like they say about Mercedes. They created tech you didn’t know you need.
No mention of the windshield. Why doesn’t almost no one talk about this? In every car I’ve been in, I can’t see a traffic light if I’m close to it/first in line. I have to duck down. Besides that, being able to see more of the sky feels more open and less claustrophobic. This is easily one of the only reasons why I would get this car over any other. I can’t find any other car that has a windshield like this one
Summon is useless? Seriously? Do that pick up trick when you're paying in the supermarket so that when you get out the car is already there, let's see if you still think is useless, smh

I have smart summon, it would be really cool if it worked that well in real life. It doesn't. There is a none insignificant chance you wreck your Tesla if you aren't watching it like a hawk while it's smart summoning. Even the manual says it's not ready for an occupied parking lot, which is all of them.
