I was an early reader and got a little big for my britches, which is Ironic because I was always the smallest not only in my class but usually most of whatever school I was in. This proved to be a not good a combination, a big mouth with a tiny body. Fortunately I learned quickly who to piss-off and who not to. Angelina was not misnamed, she is as sweet and humble as she is talented. A lady after one of her concerts came up to Angelina and said ' you made me cry' to which Angelina gave the woman a hug and said ' I'm sorry'. The woman explained that it was a good thing. It is hard to believe that the little ragamuffin you saw just now, would grow to be the 6'0" tall beauty that she is today. She got growth cascade. I on the other hand got a growth dribble as I topped out at 5'4" and being 70 now and bowed by years of personal disappointment, I stand a towering 5'3." Great reaction. I never make it through anything she sings without tears. I don't know if you have reacted to Danelia Tuleshova yet, but she has the same effect on me. Watch her blind audition for The Voice Kids Ukraine. Though she is Kazakh she entered this competition. Yes she is good friends with Dimash. Make sure you get the one with english subbies so you can understand the judges. The whole blind audition lasts 10:30 watch it all. You don't have to react to the whole thing just the first part. The first part went viral and to date has over 59 million views. Even if you don't react you will not be wasting your time.

What always drives me insane with Angelina, specially in this performance, is that she has no Idea how deep and emotionally complex the songs that she's singing and yet the agony in her voice tells otherwise. She's truly a gift from above ❤️

Yes, because this song is about suicide, which is why the judge asks her about it. She doesn’t, and shouldn’t, understand that. But she is right when she answers him, because at its heart the song is about profound sadness. Children know what that feels like. They feel very deep feelings just like adults, and without the experience and tools to process them as well. They just feel those feelings about things we often think are unimportant. But their feelings are just as real.

Music was composed by a Hungarian pianist and composer, Rezső Seress (1899-1968), first released in 1933.

The leadup to that performance is worth watching, to see her attitude and how she approaches the performance. To see that she is totally relaxed, even bored, waiting for her turn. To see how 'normal' this sort of thing seems to her. At 7 years old. Incomprehensible.

Two other performances on this same show Summertime and Bang Bang. Another is an outdoor concert a few months after this she sings What a Difference a Day Makes. Alk three are fantastic

It is not exactly the feeling that invades our entire being as we watch the angelic long hair white dress child singing and imagine that she is part of our family (for me, she is my baby sister singing for me only). It is not either that she sings extremely well for such a little bundle of abundant life and creativity. It is, indeed, her magic that strikes us deep inside like a warm loving spell. It is that, already at seven years old, the musical vibrational frequency coming from her therapeutically massages our broken dreams and caresses our rejuvenating soul. That is why we cry at the sound of her voice.

@@GitanaAdelle , you should also watch her other performances in this same talent show -- her wonderful singing of Nancy Sinatra's "Bang, Bang" and the incredible vocals of "Summertime" (spoiler alert! especially where she lengthens out the word "Daddy"!). If you want to see her even younger, at age SIX, there are two videos of her singing the first time ever in a recording studio, and her cute excitement shows all over her! One is of her singing Adele's "Rolling in the Deep"; the other video is of her covering a Tom Jones song called "I Who Have Nothing" (both at age six)! Incredible! I always enjoy your reactions -- thank you!

I didn't go through all the comments but I just wondered as you seem when she sings I have nothing when she's only 6 years old it's unbelievable if you've already seen it that's fine but I mean this younger than she is in this video

I've read that Angelina's mom cried here because she said she knew she had lost Angelina to the world.

@@stillracer2514 I know she wanted to be a superstar before she understood what all that means, and I think you're right about that line. She's never seemed selfish, except for this superstar business. At some point, she figured things out. That's my theory. :)

Thanks for the wonderful and amazed reaction, Gitana, as usual. Her first public show with Gloomy Sunday was an event of amazement for anyone who experienced it at the time, the emotion that is felt for her first performances, in which she wonderfully connects the her voice and her talent for that aspect of her little bird that plays, is very large and intense and leaves you permanently marked. To think that at 7 years of age she was perfectly able to read, analyze and connect, in a foreign language, without any doubt or fear, with the public and the judges of talent seems impossible. She convinced her mother to join her because she was sure of herself ... at seven years old! In the days following the evening, her online video recorded over 5 million views in a country, Norway, which has as many inhabitants ... 😁 😁 The first judge, at the end of this song, said what remains for me the simplest and most suitable description of Angelina, said: "you are the music", there is nothing more true. ❤️ The artistic path of this incredible little girl, in the last 6 years has been wonderful, it's impossible not to be enchanted by her.

After diligent practice in studio work, Angelina delivers a stunner that brought tears to the eyes of adults. Angelina just humbles everyone with God bestowed gift, absolute she always leaves us speechless, with her charm , calmness, humility , professionalism and that voice straight from heavenly places. Did yo notice the number on her white dress 7008, "7', the number of perfection and completeness in scripture ," 8" the number of a change , new beginnings etc. in the scripture I.E , 7 days one week complete. ' 8" the eight day the beginning of a new week ( new beginnings as it were). Angelina just completed her dream to stardom on national TV at 7 years old as the world opens up to her, and won it at "8" the number of new beginnings as she enters into the national lime light.

Thank you so much Gitana for another reaction that is very nearly a carbon copy of every reaction I have to Angelina, even when I've heard a given performance many times. When I watch her and listen to her and lose all awareness that anything else exists I want to lift her into my arms and hug her so tightly! When I come back to the real world I know I can never do that. I'm afraid that if ever I had that opportunity I would never let go. I would squeeze too hard because what else could anyone do?

Actually she knew 3 languages - she also speaks farsi because her grandmother is Iranian (and possibly more because her grandfather was from Japan and her father is Swedish)

Angelina and her family lived for a while in the USA where her father worked at one time. In many countries a second language is taught at a very early age. Angelina is fluent in Norwegian and English. She also speaks Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and her father is Swedish. She speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother, the well respected Norwegian Iranian poet and artist Mery Zamani. She also speaks some Japanese. Angelina’s grandfather who passed away about 2 years ago is Japanese. Her talents don’t stop here. She plays the piano, the flute, the Guitar, the violin, and the organ. She even wrote a book at the age of 9 making her the youngest published author in Norway’s history. It tells the story about why she sings barefoot. When at the age six years old and was travelling with her family in another country, she met a young orphaned shoeless girl around the same age as her who was weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn some money to support herself and her siblings. Without prompting from her parents she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. That evening she recorded that encounter in her diary and vowed to always perform barefooted until all the children of the world had shoes and the necessities of life. Till today she has kept that vow and has helped to raise more than 21 million euros for different charities.

She has grown up in a multi-lingual family. Also, the Norwegian educational system puts a serious emphasis on English studies from kindergarten on up. I had a Norwegian dorm mate in college many years back. He spoke English more fluently than many fellow Americans I've known! :D

Dear Gitana, when you mentioned during yesterday's Live doing her first thing I was hoping for her first time in a recording studio instead of this so PLEASE react to her sing I Who Have Nothing when she was 6. When she does a perfect job hitting her first hard note you can see how excited she is. I agree with a comment from another fan. You really should listen to the other performances on NGT now. As good as this one is, she got better with each performance. Within the space of three performances (four if you count the second audition) you can see her grow in confidence and skill. Simply an amazing child.

Great vid and reaction, but you really should watch " I'm a fool to want you " as well. The judges let too many people through and had to whittle them down quick;y. They had minutes to choose another song with no more than one musician accompanying them. She just walked out and sang "I'm a Fool" A Cappela and knocked it out the park. Please watch it.

It's great to see you going back to check out Angelina's beginnings. This one really shows how the music is just in her bones. Like you said, you just can't teach that. I think the reason she is so good at what she does is because she is singing the songs that she loves. She seems to have a deep connection with every song she sings. This quote from Angelina tells how she discovered this song all on her own and loved the sound of it.... "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but "Gloomy Sunday" was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZread before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed... I'm talking about jazz queen Billie Holiday. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words.
