She was 7 yo for this, then she turned 8 for the last 3 performances. She graduates HS in a few months, which she, her family & her record label has been waiting for before she goes full-time with her career. In a recent interview, she said she will release a new single at the end of April 2023, followed by her debut album of original songs in the fall. Next is a Global tour, beginning in America & then she's off to Europe. After that, who knows, but my guess is Asia.

She won the show but she gave the money away to charity in Norway since she’s been saying that she’s raise millions of dollars for children’s charity and environment purposes when she’s living in California with her wrecker company to raise $12 million for charity she went to Sweden and participated in a charity event for children with the medication, drugs and silver they needed and they raise €120 million She’s right humanitarian not just a singer. She uses that to raise money to help others that need it outside love this girl on top of that you’re the best person I’ve ever heard regardless of age.

Excellent reaction: "she's just a musician".. exactly... from the earliest age she was simply a great musician... never just a "child singer" in the usual sense... far greater than that expression suggests in my view - slightly hard to get the words right here: clearly age is relevant and she was an extraordrinary prodigy, but her early performances were just great in their own right, independent of age.. and she never lost that "effortless charm".... in fact her stage presence just gets greater and greater...

This was a great commentary and analysis of Angelina and her music. I really appreciate both the personal and technical aspects. To all Angels....We all enjoy watching reaction videos because it gives us the chance to share reactors' experiences with the emotions we initially felt when we first viewed an artist's performance. Reactions are entertaining, and the channels deserve our support. But we must realize that although reaction videos attract some new fans, we need to be mindful that there are very important actions we must take to introduce artists like Angelina, and even reactors, to a vastly wider audience. For Angelina, that means providing her the opportunity to share her music, and to spread her message of love and empathy. Angels, please support Angelina just by watching two videos per day, in their entirety, either from her Official or Cover channel. Ensure that you like and post a new comment, and also like, and reply to existing comments when inspired. More angels participating is the most direct way we can support Angelina on KZread, which will then recommend her videos to millions more people. Reactors who truly appreciate you and their featured artists will encourage you to take these actions for the artists' as well as their own channels. Recognize your favorites by liking, commenting, and subscribing to their channels as well. Peace and love.

Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZread before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷 In a interview after this performance Angelina's mom was asked why she was crying during her performance?? Were they happy tears?? Mom said; " They were happy tears but they were also sad tears because I know I just lost my daughter to the world. ♥👣👸🏻🎷

She had four songs on NGT. Her second is another channeling of Billie Holiday (I’m a Fool to Want You), but she sings it a cappella. It’s absolutely beautiful and so pure. Her final song is Summertime, and it’s patterned heavily after an Ella Fitzgerald version. You can hear amazing development from the performance you watched today. But I hope you will watch her third performance. It’s Bang, Bang-the 60’s hit by Cher and Nancy Sinatra. On that song, Angelina is channeling nobody. It’s all her own, and she gives us a preview of several things that make her so amazing today. She’s 8 for Bang, Bang, but we hear her incredible control over her low register. And we see how beautifully she understands and interprets these mature lyrics. And also, it’s a preview of how Angelina can make us feel the weight of melancholy lyrics. It’s actually my favorite version of that song-by an 8 year old. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZZ-jy8prgqevcqQ.html

Angelina decides for herself! When it comes to the actual training and choice of songs etc., it has always been Angelina who made all the choices and decisions. Parents and others, on the other hand, have asked her to take it a little easier sometimes. Angelina is very special and her own driving force. Ever since she was 3-4 years old! Of course, all relatives and frends, have helped and protected her. Angelina and her closest, decided early on that she would have as normal a childhood as possible. Even when she won NGT, 8 years old, many wanted to sign a contract. Everyone was dismissed! Even Disney. And this Norwegian girl sings in English! Do you know that she speaks several languages. I'm so grateful for everything she gives me. / A Swedish Viking

Natural talent, which is undeniable, aside, she had the greatest teachers in the history of music, albeit on you tube since age 3. Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and on and on. Shortly after learning to speak, she learned to sing from these icons. I can imagine that with a child's imagination, these singers were her friends.

Thank you for this detailed break down, very interesting as always! You see a little 7 year old traipsing on stage with a wild mane of hair, a princess dress of sorts, teeth missing, cute as button and full of confidence and joy to perform. As soon as she starts singing she channels Billie Holiday and captivates the jury and audience alike. It is quite impossible to match her singing and performance with her appearance, however very easy to enjoy :- )

IMO, her entire run on this show was, and will always be, absolutely incredible. (And I am also quite partial to her live performance of "What a Difference a Day Makes" at/on _Allsang på Grensen_ just weeks after winning the competition, which feels to me like a kind of a "capstone" to the whole thing.) All four of her performances are both surprising and impressive in their own ways. I could go on for paragraphs about why I think they're so good, but it really all boils down to a single, simple idea: she's "the real deal".🤗

What hasn't often been discussed is the challenge of getting the opportunity she had practised half her life for at the very moment her teeth started making a bid for freedom! Surely this must have made doing what she did here much more difficult for her. It is probably a measure of her determination that she didn't decide to postpone for another season; it's not as if time was running out for her.

Cecilia, always enjoy your in depth reactions to Angelina. Yes, the support and love in her family is something to behold and has given her the opportunity to live out her dream of singing for people. Her family did enroll her in a special music class when she was very young but a moment occurred when the teachers requested her parents to come to school to discuss a matter concerning Angelina. They told Angelina's family that they could continue to teach her about the artistry involved in music but it was a waste of their time to teach her how to sing. In fact, they were told Angelina could qualify as an instructor already at her tender age! Cecilia, one factor which might interest you (!) is Angelina has been filmed in bed with a microphone singing a Whitney Houston song. It's on you tube. Oh, she was 1 and 1/2 yrs old.

Cecilia, thank you so very much for your analysis to this remarkable performance. We don't know for sure how it is possible for a child to have such incredible talents but we are thankful Angelina was born into such a wise and loving family, who made sure she got to enjoy her childhood and finish her schooling. Angelina signed with Republic Records in August 2020, as their highest priority new artist, but her family requested she be allowed as normal a childhood as possible. Angelina and her family moved to LA around the start of 2020 and has been able to get to know many in the music industry. Most of the general public, around the world, has yet to learn of Angelina, demonstrating how well everyone has done to give her a childhood. I would hope you know of Alma Deutscher, a classical music composer prodigy, who completed her first full opera by age 10. Alma just turned 18 and is having her 2nd opera performed in Salzburg now. Alma, in a interview on 60 Minutes, said it was just normal for her to have music constantly flowing through her mind. I believe both Angelina and Alma were also given the ability to understand human emotion on a deep level, seemingly from birth and can convey those emotions through their music.

Thank you for reacting to this amazing and unforgettable performance by the Barefoot Angel. No one has described Angelina's jazz genre singing style better than her most favorite musical idol Billie Holiday. BH described her own style of music, documented in the book “Lady Sings the Blues”, which also applies to Angelina, as follows: “Ralph [Cooper] convinced [Frank] Schiffman to come and catch me. When Schiffman asked Cooper what style I had, Cooper was stumped. “You never heard singing so slow, so lazy, with such a drawl,” he told him. But he still couldn’t put any label on me. This, I always figured, was the biggest compliment they could pay me. Before anybody could compare me with other singers, they were comparing other singers with me. “It ain’t the blues,” was all Cooper could tell him. “I don’t know what it is, but you got to hear her.”” Ralph Cooper: who started Amateur Night at Harlem’s landmark Apollo Theater, launching the careers of such stars as Billie Holiday. Frank Schiffman: became the first manager of the Apollo Theater. Soon thereafter, he became co-owner, and retained the management position until the early 1960s.

Where is got talent you have to be a list. Seven years of age to participate. She just turned seven and this is the first performance. Remind me Sunday at the age of seven by Billie Holiday.

Hi sweetie 👋. Great reaction to 7 Angie. She did a an amazing performance when she was 6 in a sound booth at her school. Its called "I who have nothing" you should react to it. Also please react to Laura Bretan's audition for AGT at 13. She had already won Romania's Got Talent at 13. She 20 right now and will turn 21 in April of 2023. Cause her genre it's not as popular. Then I'll give you some more from Laura. She is another Prodigy. 🙏🙂👍❤

Seven years old you have to be seven to be able to enter this contest, so she’s seven years old here and she has stated thanks to your grandmother who introduced her to jazz. Billie Holiday means everything to her.

It took me some time but I finally got past my stubbornness and listen to the original Nina Simone version of this. If you are not familiar with it you need to be before really understanding and appreciating this specific performance

Her parents, her parents, uncle mother, grandmother grandpa everybody was supportive her I saw her talent and everything is 18 months at home singing so I took a microphone and Litter saying at 18 months of age she thinks would probably Whitney Houston. I have nothing she heard on the radio. I love you bye-bye Washio Unless you heard someplace KZread Whitney Houston died six years before she was born but yet Angela still made a cover-up or as a tribute Houston and she sang several Frank Sinatra Sox say I’m afraid to watch it was written by Frank Sinatra on Billie Holiday made it famous bar hell wrote the song for him, and he said no that’s all great jazz singer has been to go crazy because you change the rhythm so much and they just really get upset but it’s Frank Sinatra or she liked on Andy Williams
