Never handle a pigeon like that. That's tripling the stress between rearing young, taking care of themselves, and then getting handled like that. If they're grunting/barking/growling at you like that, there's a reason for it. They're being parents, and know how to take care of their young. It's instinctual, so don't cut in on it. Aside from that, beautiful birds. I have three of my own. Love them all.

Those birds look immaculate, very nice looking. What breed are they ? I'm from Glasgow, my father has a Doocot with 10 pairs, mostly pouters I think.

dude i bet you she knows what she is doing. and the babies are fine cause the mom goes right back to them. the parents wont abandoned the kids that fast. they seem like they know the owner fairly well.

@BroadDrink it really depends on how you bring them up me and my dad have over 200 racing pigeons and they are fine with us checking on the eggs and the babyies

I held a baby piegeon one time and the baby piegeon pooped on my hand. I also made it a home but I put the baby piegeon back with its mama. I also wanted to get the other egg from the nest but the mama piegeon poked me ouch....

صحيح كلامك ولكن اذا ضروري يمسك البيض لازم يغطي يدة في نشارة خشب عشان ما تمسك ريحة يده في البيضة وتتركها الام.

there are two pigeons in my balcony trying to build a nest and they are so determined to do so even after i got rid of the nest so annoying and messy

Those are some seriously aggresive pigeons. Lol. Maternal instinct rules no matter how big or how small the mother is or how big or small the aggressor is.
