The Aliferi isn´t the car that is taking over for the GranTurismo. Aliferi is gonna compete with Porsche 911 Aston Martin Vantage and Jaguar F-Type. It comes a new GranTurismo and GranCabrio to take over. Så Maserati is gonna have 2 coupes and 2 convertibles to choose from.

It looks so much better than just about everything from the Germans, and it sounds absolutely glorious. The way an Italian car should.

I've had my granturismo for 6 years and loved every second of it. I upgraded to the sport exhaust so it has the beautiful lines of a 2008 model but with the audio of a 2010 model. Remember that it is an f430 engine (which you love) and yes it is big and yes it's not fast. However, the GT came out in a time when Maserati was not expanding and did not have competition because they were really in a different league of sport and GT. You couldn't really compare this car with other cars back then because it served its own purpose. although today, Maserati is getting its leg in the competitive door with QPs and Ghiblis they are compared as a badge to other companies. My conclusion mate that this car would have been an AMAZING, cool and exclusive buy 6 years ago. I'm looking to add another pony to the fleet and am looking at Mclarens, 458s and lambos etc but would NEVER EVER get rid of my baby GT

The other guy is so friendly and always smiling

I can forgive the interior for that noise and such beauty! :)

Maybe not the GranCabrio, but the GranTurismo S or MC Stradale: It has character just like your old F-Type, it's an awesome car, that is unique and beautiful and it's the closest you can get to a Ferrari (next to the Abarth, obviously) without breaking bank! This is the one!

It never ceases to amaze me how many car guys obsess over the "dated" entertainment system in the Maserati GT, good grief! They are gorgeous cars with incredible sound that have good performance for a GT. That is the other thing people constantly compare them to sports cars rather than another big GT, I guess because of their looks and sound?

This car is perfect if you have kids and drive a van or boring SUV most of the time taking them places. On the weekend or nice days you can pick them up in this and have a great time. In terms of a awesome sports car for a single person there are better choices.

I have no patience for those who say the interior is dated. Firstly it was updated for 2013, most notably with much cooler seats, and come on, observe the art and elegance of all the forms, the steering wheel is just beautiful, the interior is a classic. Yes the coupe is far more attractive and practical. This is not an all out sports car, but it is a car of great versatility: it is extremely sexy, powerful yet safe, luxurious, a true front-mid-engine layout, very low slung and road hugging, and precise directionally; it will do 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, brake from 60 in 102 ft. ; it is therefore an intelligent purchase.

Is that a problem? Most cars are just getting uglier with each passing generation. SLS>AMG GT, DB9>DB11, Old R8>New R8, etc. The Granturismo is the type of car that will still look good 50 years from now.

#MambaaDJ Where do you live? Even where I live (Austria => high tax [NOVA]) the RS6 starts at 144.900€. Used ones are between 90.000 and 150.000. 95.000 Pounds (112.000€) is pretty much the base price for RS6 in England and thus reasonable. Your 180.000 is really high. That is a fully loaded RS6 Performance in Austria... Do you perhaps live in Skandinavia? Cars are really expensive in these parts....

if Fiat want to make Maserati successful they need to support them in times like these. i know they are doing so but Maserati isnt bringing anything really intriguing to the lineup, the Ghibli was pretty interesting at first. but its so impractical. it has 4 doors but like the Aston Martin Rapide (and even worse than the Rapide) you'd have to either be a midget to get in there or cut your legs off.

At this point, Fiat isnt really focused on Maserati as much as they are on Alfa Romeo and the Dodge/Chrysler brands. Fiat could have all the money in the world. Boris The Morris basically a 911? except completely different in every single way other than they are both Porsches. a great investment with full extras? high optioned Porsches are horrible investments unless it's a very special limited model that will retain or increase in value. the panamera. Is not that. it will lose a ton a value as soon as he buys it and will continue to depreciation quickly.
