    I took the dive as well and went with a RX5. I tested a RX7 and Levitate which was my first choice, but after shooting the RX5 I was hooked. I liked the handle better than the RX7 and the riser and handle better than the Levitate. Setup was a breeze. I started with a Biscut and Easten 400 and got 283fps. I switch to Hoyt integrated rest and Blackarrow Carnivores 400 and now pushing 295-297fbs with 27in draw @ 60lbs. It is simply a dream to shoot.

    Man u make this all look so easy. I would love to get to where i can set my bow up to perfection like u do. But im no where near to that point as far as a bow hunter goes. I have yet a shit ton to learn. which now brings me to my question. What is the best way to know how big or how heavy or even how many stabilizers one needs on their bow? Do i need a front one or do i need a back one? What do i go off of? Ur bow set up vids are very informative and interesting bud. Best of luck to u this season. I know im pumped for it.

    Just ordered the RX7 I was back and forth on it or the ultra finally made decision based on my draw length of 28 and wanting to get a 450 to 470 grain arrow to speed of 270 fps hopefully all works out I probably should have ordered 80lb limbs

    What do you do to adjust the left and right of the arrow rest to get it in the ballpark?

    If you set up the nocking point with the Berger button it is not centered on the string. It’s like a 1/2” above center. Is that ok?

    Have you ever had any problems with your limbs on the hoyts? I just got my first hoyt and love how it shoots. I just keep seeing a lot of pictures of hoyt limbs splitting.

    Never for any reason that wasn’t my own fault. I’ve smashed limbs off of rocks and left bows in a 130 degree truck cabs for weeks at time. You’ll get limb issues with ANY bow if you do that. I think a lot of limb issues you see in bows should be evaluated at the core of the cause aka how was the bow taken care of, if that makes sense. I’ve had 2 instances with limb splitting over the years, none catastrophic and 100% shootable, both were my fault in careless abuse/neglect. Both instances Hoyt took care of it on warranty no question. To attest to the durability of Hoyts on the contrast I literally had a carbon bow fly off the roof of my car at 55mph and hit the highway, picked it up and shot it out to 80 with broadheads perfectly and hunted the rest of the season with it. They’re extremely durable

    @@WhitetailFit hell yeah thank you for the input on that! That makes me feel better about it haha. I came from shooting Mathews and after I shot the vtm I couldn’t stop thinking about how it felt and had to go get one

    Not if u dnt have it, just weighs less if ur not obsessed with weight stalk hunting then really doesn’t matter

  • @1mervin1

    @1mervin1

    The weight difference is very negligible, I personally stick to carbon for comfort and feel, not weight. (it stays warmer, might sound dumb but it makes a huge difference in the cold fall weather)

    I’m getting an rx7 ultra that’s coming in. I get to chose the weight I want to be pulling as they have different cams I believe. This is my first bow, plan to use for hunting. If I’m going to chose, do I go something like the 70-80 or must I start with something less?

    I’m not criticising but it is true ? If I buy house i USA can i say I built the house ? If the house was already build! For me build is something to do from nothing I mean if I build the bow I imagine a wood and whatever process needed using any blade is called build! You bought that bow already built you just tuned up setting up
