My New Favourite Lure for Ice Fishing Lake Simcoe 2020

Спорт

Got to test out my new lure purchase and this thing was putting fish on top of the ice. All our fish were caught this lure only. Once I started catching, I just stuck with one rod and this lure.
I think I'm gonna stock up on a few more.

It’s fun when they’re actively feeding but sucks when they’re there but won’t bite. Well that’s fishing. Good luck out there 👍

chad young I wasn’t a believer at first. I thought a lipless would be too big for a whitefish but I find they just suck up the trebles.

@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING funny you say that cause I always think that as well, however I am still trying to get my first whitie and or laker on simcoe so I still believe it is too big...lol...hopefully next season I find out differently..

Outdoorsygal O I find they gotta be very aggressive to hit the lipless. On my next outing they were aggressive at all and wouldn’t touch it. I had to downsize and finesse them with a drifter

PUMP KNOWS FISHING ~ I hear you there. Our baits went smaller and finesse too. Badd Boyz and Meegs mostly. Every day can be different.

Hey Pump, how long does the battery last on the helix 7? Also - how did you decide on a model? There's like 400 options.

Actually Andrew Fishing the regular lead acid battery doesn’t last long on a helix 7, the big screen drains the battery after only a few fours. I upgraded my battery to a lithium battery and it lasts for a few outings and I like having my screen bright too. Will last longer if you dim down the screen too. As for model, I only use it for ice fishing so sonar is what you really need. I don’t need SI side imaging or DI down imaging unless I plan on using it on a boat. The H7 comes in a ice fishing package that includes the shuttle bag but you can make your own carrying case from a tackle bag/tackle box/ammo box, all you need is the ice transducer. Humminbird allows transducer exchange. That’s what I did, I went to their warehouse near Burlington and exchanged my boat transducer for a ice transducer

sparky7032 canadiantacklestore.com the colour is called Tule Perch. I’ve only used this one colour but I did buy a few others in the white and silver tones that I still need to try.
