My First BURBOT (Crazy Looking) Ice Fishing Lake Simcoe 2020

Спорт

My first time catching a Burbot and managed to hook into 2. They really are crazy looking especially when you see it right under your hole. We kept both burbot and pan fried them in batter and they do have that lobster texture to them. Good eats

Pump, I thought you only steelhead fish bro. Great multi species day man. That burbot looked interesting, never caught one before. Glad you added a new species to your catch list. I’m jealous.

Looks like you got plenty of room for a 36 inch rod or maybe even a 42... Gives you a lot more leverage for those bigger whities and burbots, especially if you hook up with a decent laker ;)

MUCCI416 my attractor rod with a vibrato is a 36 but that had no action that day. I usually fish with my 30 inch medium avid ice but I wanted to give my ML a try with the drifter. It helps me detect the bites a lot easier with the spring tip

Slabz&Skeez Fishing I’ll start lipping them after a few catches but for now I’ll use my pliers. Their jaws are powerful
